° One week before the end of the month and I still haven't written any teamwork. One of these days (NOT TODAY) I'mma just gonna make a LJ post and... idk, every time someone comments I have to post them what I wrote since the last comment, or something. Maybe that'll motivate me (or maybe i'll be too busy answering comments to actually write XD)
° On the other hand today I wrote a bit of Lone Wolf and Pilot, the GW thing with bonded telepathic wolves, which is boring as fuck and mostly setup for the INCOMING CLUSTERFUCK bwahaha go killer go, but still, I have two complete scenes before that and maybe I could post them here or something. I remember when I used to spam you guys with all my scenes fresh from my bleeding and battered fingers. Maybe I should get back to that. >__>
° I also worked a lot on an illustration for the fic! I... pretty much traced an official pic of heero and duo and then added wolves in it. *cackles* I'm really not taking it as ~art~, it's more like an edit, but wow my fingers. Also I wish I knew how to make fake screencaps because it'd look really fun if I could copy the anime style, but every time I've tried to learn I was just... yawn lasso tool oh hey a butterfly, and the skill stayed unlearned.
I also started a pic with Heero and Duo and their merlin and crow daemons for that OTHER alternate universe with GW people having speshul soul pets. Self, what are you trying to tell me here... oh right! i should totes be illustrating the Gundams as Dragons verse. Yup, that must be it. Augh, illustration ADD. I think I just want Gboys and ANIMALS. >_>;

XD; I was only planning to do their meeting at first, a sort of This One Gundam Episode Where Two Enemies Are Stuck On An Island At Night trope, and then the bunnies wanted to know what next and now, crap, I have to figure out more badass stuff to shove in that plot (AN ACTUAL STRUCTURED PLOT WOULD ALSO BE NICE), but so far I mostly have random telepathic shenanigans and Gamzee being terrifying and also John and Karkay using contrived nanomachines-related excuses to suck face. Which is always fun, I admit, but hmm. And now a ton of people like it, and they're all "i can't wait to see where you're going!!!" and uh okay, self, it's cool, most of your fics are done with that seat of the pants approach to storytelling ANYWAY! *makes self breathe*
° Re: Back to the Garden, so far I have two scenes. One of them isten FIFTEEN pages of Karkat Is Nosy And A Mother Hen And Pale For Everyone Ever, and the other one is about eight of Gamzee Is So In Pity With Tav And Karkat Awwsocute And Also A Really Creepy Motherfucker. No trace of action or politics or adventures, apart from some silly forest wanderings.
So i'm like "That's a lot of pages! I should post them as a preview!" and then I'm like "that's a lot of pages where NOTHING HAPPENS BUT LOTS OF TALK" and the next scenes are going to be actionny and reveal more plot stuff so I'm thinking if I want the chapter to feel balanced I should just wait to have the complete thing or else chapter 2A will feel REALLY slowboring...?????

And then someone posted a prompt that was basically Homestuck as a Super Robots show.
They wanted Evangelion or.. (pffff) combining rangerbots, so of course I went with Eva-ish for the trolls and Gundam-ish for the humans, because I'm mean that way and also inspiration impacting skulls at this speed really hurts. D;
Contains: John/Karkat, giant robots, space wars, disturbing organic tech (mm trolls), contrived excuses for fanservice :D, mentions of non-con (no actual non-con!).

He'd fought the red one before. It wasn't the best fighter, but it was cautious and smart, and it could hit both with the outer curve of its pincers like a club, and with the inside, serrated, metal-tearing blade on the inner curve. Hence why he'd never managed to smash it to death in one hit and why Roxy kept stealing the highest kill record from him; he wasn't fond of hard vacuum and explosive decompression, and after the last time it blocked his weapon in mid-swipe and slipped under his guard to shred up his cockpit he was in no hurry to rush it again. Vacuum was pretty unnerving when all you had left between it and you was one piddly helmet with fifteen minutes of oxygen.
"Warhammer to Base, Cancer broke through, in pursuit!"
It had never, ever rushed him before.

Wed, Mar. 7th, 2012 21:26I am very FLAIL FLAIL AAAAAAA today. Since yesterday actually. It's all a convergence of little things... meh.
I went into town! and the bus was late. and had a meeting with people! (was stressful since i don't like arguing/disagreeing with people irl and um yeah -__-) and went shopping for books and the cashier was new and incompetent and ate up all my security margin of lateness! and went to a second place to get some paperwork but it was SURPRISE CLOSED! so that kept me being late for NOTHING, and got lost on the way to a THIRD appointment and was LATE! (not a lot and it didn't bother her but it bothered ME, seriously I find it disrespectful as fuck and here I was, ten minutes late) and then i took the bus home, and then i had to cook. Cooking was fun enough since i was still all flaily and spastic with nervous energy, but wow. Now I can feel I am slowly but inexorably heading for a belly-flop.
So yesterday I had a plagiarist on devart who was all "This is my entry for the spring contest! :D" ohh, a CONTEST. Good job on... reposting my pic, I'm sure you'll go far with that one! and someone in the comments was asking her all :| -faced, "who's askerian?" because the fucking dumbass had left my url on it, and her answer was a bitchy-apathetic "what's it to you?".
:D oh no you di'nt. :D :D :D :D :D
her gallery was full of comments of a person asking her to at least credit the other pics she was mutilating and calling hers, and she was all no no shut up who caaaaaaaaares. :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD oh honey you shouldn't have. I'm too polite for my own good, when someone shows me that much of their ass it's a pretty foregone conclusion I won't be able to refuse the engraved invitation to apply foot to it.
The case was pretty much open and closed and the dA staff handled the removal of the stolen picture quickly, but since I was nervous about my day from hell I had a good long snarky rant to try to evacuate some tension, and I know some of you guys like to see me bitch up a storm, so here it is: ( Ranty ranter rant )
And finally my deep ... four paragraphs of thoughts on Naruto. ( :/ :/ :/ )

Would the Preventers have separate rooms for on-base lodgings or a single dormitory, since wolf packs would bond better if they're allowed to all sleep in a pile? Would that cause too many squabbles for the best position? Would they not care so much about the pack as a whole being linked extra-closely since they're almost never going to all work on the same single mission anyway but be broken up into smaller teams or even simple two-humans partnerships where one of the guys might not even have a wolf, and so training together and being around each other during a work day should be sufficient to create a pack identity? gnahh. Can't reason it out.
I have other issues but they're spoilerific as heck. Hrrrn.

Random babble.
Tue, Feb. 28th, 2012 06:55So recently I've been v. depressed sob sob over how much my f-list activity has dwindled. Used to be I'd have to go back two pages if I missed one day, and now there's maybe four more posts a day and I am a sad and emo Asuka.
But then I thought, hey, I haven't been posting much either.
Mostly I keep feeling like I can only post, and therefore spam people, if I have either fic or manga observations to share.
I don't post my random thoughts/plotbunnies/crack scenarios because right now most of them are about Homestuck and I'm pretty sure most of you guys aren't into that and i've been enough of a virus vector already, and I haven't seen a good fandom meme that I haven't done already in ages (kinda want to do a "opinions on pairings" meme for homestuck because I have ~feelings~ but aaaaa), and my real life is boring as fuck and not something interesting enough to share. (okay no yes I've gone from 180 pounds to 144 in the last six months and i'm not done yet! >:O i'm exactly five feet tall so yes, still quite visibly overweight. shut up i'll be proud if i want to be. told you it'd be boring!)
But as a result I'm complaining of something I'm doing too. Hrrm.
It doesn't help that I'm guilting over not writing much teamwork recently. (but hey! the other day I started chapter two of the wedding fic. It has Sasuke and Naruto and Sai at a bathhouse. Sai keeps being Sai at the two of them, which is hilarious but hard to balance lest I fall into total moronisation of the guy. :/ Still, it's not teamwork proper. hrrrrn.) I think part of that is the canon hasn't been really grabbing me as much as it used to recently. Insane!sasuke is so frustrating and Naruto the lone hero who makes token "efforts" at team fighting while gloriously bathing everything in his radiance as Sakura is sidelined... meh.
(the rest of that is that I have to write a Sakura-POV fight scene while naruto and sasuke are off having relationship angst in the background. I like writing fight scenes, but only if there's emotion in it, and I REALLY like to write character interaction, which cannot be focused on right now because dramatic tension blahblah. If I keep stalling on it, it means I'm doing something wrong with my plotting, but I haven't figured out what that is yet.)
I need to rekindle my love for Naruto. Maybe a reread/rewatch. Idk.
I need to friend more communities with interesting stuff on it? but like what. No clue. aaa.

Duo doesn't want to join the Preventers, thankyouverymuch. Preserving the peace is all well and good but he likes answering to no one but himself, and like hell he wants to buddy up to people he and Killer used to stand against, back during the war.
Only the Preventers have a pack, and his brother-wolf doesn't, never has, deserves to, and maybe a junkyard dog isn't all a warrior wolf should be.

-You take a fic or ficlet or multipart I've written, and choose whether you want a prequel or a sequel, and/or which character you want to concentrate on (not necessary but always appreciated) and/or a timeframe (i might tell you nothing interesting happens at that point, alas) and/or some aspect of the plot you were curious about idk etc.
-They shall be snippets or ficlets or otherwise roughly comment-sized, which means there's an even chance I'll come out of this post with yet another sprawling, all-devouring 'verse on my hands.
-I make no promise to actually write your prompt. I'll give it a fair try, is all I can offer.
-You can post up to five prompts. I might write one, I might write all five, I might write none.
