-You take a fic or ficlet or multipart I've written, and choose whether you want a prequel or a sequel, and/or which character you want to concentrate on (not necessary but always appreciated) and/or a timeframe (i might tell you nothing interesting happens at that point, alas) and/or some aspect of the plot you were curious about idk etc.
-They shall be snippets or ficlets or otherwise roughly comment-sized, which means there's an even chance I'll come out of this post with yet another sprawling, all-devouring 'verse on my hands.
-I make no promise to actually write your prompt. I'll give it a fair try, is all I can offer.
-You can post up to five prompts. I might write one, I might write all five, I might write none.

This time on top of prequels and sequels you're also free to choose a scene and ask for a different POV on it in the same timeframe, or ask what Other Character was doing at the time. (I reserve the right to reject the prompt if the answer is "nothing that interesting.")

"Just so I understand everything," Sasuke said, and took the ship straight between two floating asteroids, flipping the ship at the last second so the reentry ailerons didn't scratch. (Stupid things wouldn't retract. One more thing for Naruto to fix once they reached the next station.)

Naruto narrowled avoide bonking his head against the nearest panel. "Oh my god I am so lucky they made me without a nausea problem. Genenginered inner ears for the win -- urk!"

"In order to save your clone," swerve, "we are bringing your other, evil clone," swerve, "to meet your other, other clone."

He made sure to brake extra-hard for that one. Bonk.

"Thus only lenghtening the amount of time we have to fly through Mist space on our current pitiful amount of ammo."

Sasuke was not happy. When Sasuke was not happy Naruto definitely wasn't allowed to be.

"It's not my fault if that's where the intel is!" Naruto growled, and extracted himself from the panel he'd been fixing. He dusted himself off and kicked across to his flight chair, belted himself in, and then nodded, slow and thoughtful. "Kyuubi is totally our evil clone, though."

Sasuke stared ahead at the control panels so he wouldn't snort. Naruto knew, though, and grinned at him in the reflection of the back view panel, where the patroller drones previously on their tail were ramming mercilessly into asteroids.

He didn't know how he felt about how casually Naruto had started referring to the fact that he had been made, as part of a batch. To his childhood in a clone creche. He didn't know if he was bothered because he hadn't wanted to know or because Naruto hadn't said anything about not being natural-born sooner, before Kyuubi forced his hand.

He didn't like thinking that Naruto literally couldn't imagine losing his birth family, that the sympathy he'd shown had been only, what, lucky guesses and Sasuke assuming understanding when maybe he... oh fuck it, Sasuke didn't even understand how the hell his own thought process worked some days.

He wasn't happy knowing Naruto had had a life before becoming his mechanic. That was childish, but it was true. He wasn't happy that this life was now dragging them along.

(He'd have been even less happy if Naruto had left without him, without telling him why, if he hadn't just assumed that of course Sasuke would come with.)

"I may be the evil clone," Kyuubi purr-growled in his ear, "but that's better than being the idiot clone."

Sasuke didn't even throw him a glare over his shoulder. Kyuubi hated being ignored just as much as Naruto did. Good.

"Also I'm a much better fuck."

"Really. Unless you've been fucking the same people --" goddamn, couldn't let himself be dragged in. "--No, I am not interested in playing referee. Next coordinates?"

Naruto was bristling and saying something about superior experience being for jack shit if one was such a selfish asshole. Kyuubi was smirking at him and eyeing where Sasuke's ass should be like he could see right through the pilot's chair. This time Sasuke made sure not to give a twinge of warning before he swerved.

Bonk. Bonk. Fuck them both very much.

i'm gonna come back and prompt something for crossed wires too, but first! i loved your companion wolves art for gundam wing (and i'm not even in the fandom >_<) so i'd love a prequel drabble for when one of the characters first met their wolf pup... it'd be awesome if it was a konigenwolf pup (is any of the characters' wolves konigenwolves? littermates? how does the pack structure work in your 'verse anyways?) if none of the above applies to your 'verse i'd love to just read anything about heero and duo and their wolves... oh, and bonus if you can throw in something about their scent-names ^^

"I'm walking Mary," the girl says. The puppy is fat and yellow and quivering from nose to tail-tip. It's a weird name, he thinks. (It's not her name.)

The park smells like a hot summer city wind just rushed through the grass, bringing in car exhaust and hot pavement and melting ice cream. (He wonders briefly if that would taste nice. The melting ice cream, not the rest.)

It's the middle of spring anyway. He must be smelling something else. He lets the puppy sniff his fingers. (Such short fur. Golden labrador? German shepherd cross? He likes dogs, from afar, abstractly; never had one, never will, or anyone he knows. Breed names are info he doesn't need but in the back of his head he wonders anyway. There's something in her short muzzle that doesn't fit the color of the pelt.)

"Mary says you're happy."

He is. By the time he thinks to flick her a little smile the girl has gone, chasing Mary who chases a butterfly. The traces of cordite and nitroglycerin on his fingers aren't all that interesting.

Later he stands in still-burning ruins and he looks around breathless and stunned stupid. His training says leave, don't get caught here, stupid rookie mistake, but all he can think is I failed, I failed. The mission was to destroy the hangar, the machines, not... not. He misjudged. He sees charred-black things that he knows are human limbs even if they look nothing like, ash floating down like snow on broken furniture, souvenirs, an empty, twisted birdcage.

A golden dog, burned raw and burned black, a dog big enough for a lion.

He smells ice-cream again, so sickly-sweet he gags on it. He smells cordite and nitroglycerin and blood, old and fresh. The fresh blood might be his own hands, right now, he's tearing them open digging through broken masonry and twisted metal he cannot even start to guess at.

Military base, military housing. Military bondwolves.

Mary is calling to him. Cordite and nitroglycerin and blood. He chokes on it.

He sets his shoulder against a slab of wood and heaves it up. Reaches his hands down in the hollow underneath. Cloth basket. Three puppies, one red, one white, both dead. One soot-stained gold. She's hurt.

She's hurt and she's alone and she's scared. He braces himself. He picks her up. He thinks of when Odin died, and how he had a mission to complete and how he locked it all up, down and down below.

Maybe he can show her. Maybe he'll have to show her. Being lonely doesn't matter, it's feeling it that kills.

He hopes he'll have enough time, before J finds someone who'll take her.

Cordite and nitroglycerin and blood, and grief-sweaty hands. It's really literal, as far as scent-names go, a puppy-name. It doesn't stop fitting, so Heero just keeps it.

He's not really thinking about anything in particular that day, sitting on the riverbank, as he watches Sasuke bathe.

Alright, yes. He's thinking about corded muscles and flexible limbs and how they let him strike fast and from almost any angle, somewhat like a viper.

Juugo likes vipers. Very straight to the point.

Juugo likes Sasuke too. He wasn't really expecting, or wanting to. Sasuke is his hope, Kimimaro's legacy, that's more than enough weight to hang onto anyone.

He guards his face and his words like he guards his back, like he's all efficiency and purpose, intense the way they are when they burn bright and fast and gutter out much too early.

He didn't want to be touched, that night, but not because he had been hurt before, or didn't feel an interest in the pleasures of the flesh, but they wanted him too much, so because he doesn't care he let them have that. Him.

Juugo bets he isn't the only one pretending he doesn't know Sasuke could have been out of that room in a flash, if he'd wanted it, if he'd hated or been bored of their hands on him at all. It seems they've reached a silent agreement to let Sasuke pretend there was no part of him that reveled in it.

White wet skin and dark seal and black wet locks. Rough old towel, rubbing them dry.

Sasuke's eyes, black as coal, as he watches Juugo watch him.

He climbs back onto the rocky riverbank. Juugo doesn't bother hiding his watchfulness.

His rock is high enough that even sitting down his head is higher than Sasuke's. When Sasuke comes to a stop, almost close enough that his hip brushes Juugo's knee, he tilts his head, to the side and a little rolled back, so he can look at him without staring straight on. It's strangely non-aggressive, for Sasuke values of such.

"... You're supposed to keep watch."

My animals have a better range, Juugo doesn't remind him; he knows Sasuke remembers. It's the subtext he replies to, with a faint smile that acknowledges the lack of actual rebuke in his team leader's voice. "I am."

Sasuke snorts. Like what you see? he doesn't challenge. Why, yes, Juugo supposes he does. Sasuke's body is a perfect, honed killing machine, and it doesn't hurt that his face is beautiful.

They stare at each other, Sasuke standing there with the towel around his neck and his eyes narrowed in thought, Juugo sitting, watching openly -- there's no use trying to hide any of it.

"If I slept with you alone, I'd have to sleep with them too," he says in the end, a thin, barely-there furrow between his eyebrows.

Juugo nods, because he gets it, really he does. "They'd be unbearable." With good reason. It'd be favoritism. Their team is unstable enough already.

He likes it, though, knowing that Sasuke sort of wanted to, even just a bit, or he'd have dispensed with the explanation and just gone straight to "no."

Sasuke doesn't resume walking, doesn't even move to wrap the towel around his waist, hide himself. His body language says he doesn't care who watches, but Juugo knows if Karin and Suigetsu were here he'd have hidden, if only to cut down on leers and horrible come-ons.

He turns to face Juugo, suddenly, with no warning, and his narrow hips fit just right in between Juugo's knees. His stare is hard, dissecting, challenging.

"You can have one kiss."

Juugo doesn't ask what brought this on, what he did right that deserves rewarding (though he knows without false pride he is the only one to be trusted to keep his mouth shut about it.) He knows the simple, bare truth is Sasuke wants to.

He leans in. The kiss is slow and long, leisurely in a way nothing they've done as a team has really been. Their lips are the only place where they touch. Sasuke's hands are holding the ends of his towel; Juugo's hands are behind him, bracing on rock. Any second he could close his knees on Sasuke's hips, trap him there between his legs; the warmth Sasuke's body radiates is a harsh temptation.

The second he tries that Sasuke will be gone, though, and if this is the only kiss he'll get, just here, just for him, he is not wasting any second. It'll end too soon however long it lasts.

They could have spent hours listing all those reasons she already knew as to why this was inappropriate, wrong, depraved. (Two mortals, one another girl and one an unseated not-even-officer, two ill-mannered peasants, two of them.)

They sat together on the gallery watching nightflowers bloom. After the waxing moon had crested all the way through the clouds Rukia said, quiet like silk on steel, "I'm happy."

That was all Byakuya would hear on the topic. After that point, it was closed, a done deal. He wasn't going to listen to any of the elders' opinions on this, either. The argument was resolved, motion dismissed, nothing to see.

Though if either of them stopped making his sister happy anytime soon, he would be glad to revisit it, sword in hand for a sufficiently pointed argument.

Well, ever since you posted it, I've been wondering what exactly happened in Teamworkverse during the fight with Itachi and Kisame, from where Itachi stabbed Sasuke until the action died down again? After Sasuke gets stabbed, the details kind of go astray (poor Sasuke kind of losing consciousness there and all). So yeah, I've always been curious about reading another pov about the end of that fight. Like, maybe from Sakura's pov? Or even Gaara's (though, he wasn't always conscious either). Or someone of your choice ^__^

Late! but I needed to get back to teamwork and Sakura mental space a bit. XD;;

The sword doesn't get all the way through but she fancies she can feel it anyway, fancies that she knows exactly where it'll come out of Sasuke's lower thorax (through his right lung and liver) and into her chest (right through her fourth and fifth ribs and into her heart) from the way the impact travels through his body, pressed against hers. Her nose is mashed against his collarbone and he's heavier on her than he has ever been in sparring or in bed.

She can see part of Itachi's face over Sasuke's shoulder, one ruby-red eye, black wisps of hair. So familiar and so alien and she can't breathe with how much she hates him, with how much she hates Sasuke for doing this to her, for dying on top of her like this'll make Itachi kill her any less and not be a total waste (she would rather be dead, she would rather be dead, she cannot deal with this.)

Somewhere Naruto screams like a beast (he is losing them both oh god Naruto no) and wild chakra lashes at her and it burns, it burns, and the whole world flips them around. She cannot tell which way is down, she grabs onto Sasuke, she wants to fall back down with him.

Something grabs them in mid-air; she sees torn rocks and turned earth two feet down from her nose (her hands are covered in warm and wet.) She understands nothing.

"Holds on," rasps a voice she doesn't recognize, and a hand finds her shoulder and yanks her back and she screams, fear and fury both, and she throws her elbow back and almost drives Gaara's nose right into his brain. If Sasuke's limp body didn't throw off her aim she might have killed him; he's too exhausted to dodge and his sand armor is too thin, cracked all over.

She shudders and twists fit to break her spine to wrap an arm around Gaara's neck; the other won't let Sasuke go. (The badly fixed bone reminds her it exists; she grits her teeth).

"There. Can't go higher."

She remembers to breathe. She glances down. "Can you dodge at all?"

"No."

She's going to have to parry, if she can (she can't, god, she can't.) Naruto alone down there oh god, but she can't go to him, she can't help, she can only be bait. She doesn't even have anything left to even try fixing Sasuke, all those organs in there that she has no clue what to do with.

Sasuke is still clamped onto her. She can't fight like this. (she can't fight at all she wants to go home where is Kakashi-sensei where are her parents she's too far out of her league, she just wants to curl up and pretend this isn't happening, she wants to let Gaara deal with it he's the freaking Kage isn't he, she wants...) She wants not to have to fight again.

She can't let any of them die here. She starts trying to disentangle herself from Sasuke's arms and their warmth and strength and their not-worth-it protection.

He was never sure what was the difference between a punch that would draw water to follow, and a punch that was just a punch. Trial and error had provided a few moves that worked most of the time. (Unless the moon was in the wrong area of the sky, or not the right crescent, or some other criteria he didn't grasp.)

They felt the same to him. He could spread his hands and pull his fingers up like there were strings tied to it and water would stream up in thin ribbons, and he never, ever stepped onto a weak patch of ice and crushed through into the water (somehow the way he set his feet seemed to thicken his footing for him), but a punch was a punch was a punch.

The correct way to throw a punch had been drilled into him from (almost) as far as he could remember, scruffy, stolen Tribe furs and a pale, sun-eyed face, no, keep a strong root, you want the power to break through the enemy's guard. Passable. Do it again. A hundred times.

Yes, sifu, he would say, and get a gruff I'm no one's teacher as a reply.

But just as he'd taught Odin how to build an igloo, keep warm, how to track in the snow (really they had taught each other, that one, he'd been too little to really know much), Odin had taught him. How to fight, how to kill.

Odin might not have known much about tigerbears or killer seals in specific, but killing, that he knew. It was more of a mindset than a skill set; the skill set was nice to expand on, but just a tool in the end.

The important thing was planning and determination. Setting a goal, scouting out all obstacles, and then going right through.

Water didn't like that much, it would follow him for half a kata and then slop back in its ice-hole, down its beach, leaving him without that extra power, that extra reach. Heero kept practicing anyway, every night in the circle of his camp's firelight. Step-step-low, left-jab right-jab-uppercut, elbow-in-stomach, leg-sweep, palm strike to the heart.

When he did it right the palm strike left his snowman target peppered in daggers of bright ice.

Shallow wounds. Good distraction, though. He decided to drill, this night, just the palm strike, just to see how far it'd fly, how long and sharp and deep he could make it.

Water pulled him the wrong way, sometimes. Fouled his footwork. Ice rarely did.

Sometimes, when he let himself think, he suspected he'd have had better luck with Imperial Army teaching if he'd been meant for fire. He tried not to let himself, though. Wasn't like there was anyone to put him down if midnight sun madness caught hold of him.

Just existing, that worked well enough. Just hunting and drilling and -- maybe, when it didn't remind him too much, too violently -- maybe some experimenting.

Heero was a bender, in theory. Another skill, another tool to use. In practice he tried not to count on it.

already writing a sequel that starts the morning after (no space for one in the middle) and I don't know where it ends, so I'm jumping ahead a bit.

"So Fire Lord Zuko, huh."

"Looks like," Zuko replied tiredly. He was supposed to have guards, apparently, but things were still chaotic enough in the palace that he wasn't surprised no one had noticed the Earth peasant perched on his window.

Hell, Jet being who he was, Zuko was confident he'd manage even after they fixed things. He chuckled to himself.

"What's funny?"

"Want to be in charge of my palace guards?" he threw over his shoulder, turning to look at Jet's face. Indeed, his expression was worth it; caught flatfooted between astonishment, cat-stepped-on offense, and suspicion.

"You're joking, aren't you."

"Yeah." Zuko's shoulders slumped; he turned away again. "Though it'd be... I wouldn't mind that." But it wasn't happening.

"Bodyguard you can talk to, huh? You have that friend with the crazy weaponry." Jet said crazy like one might say awe-inspiring or beautiful. Zuko wouldn't say he and Mai had hit it off, but they certainly seemed to approve of the little they'd seen of each other, which was terrifying enough.

"Did I mention she's my ex-girlfriend? Because... You know. That doesn't make things awkward or anything."

He expected a snort or a 'so what', he really did. Even if Jet had started to care even a little bit -- and it was always hard to tell with him -- he'd know as Zuko did that it wasn't happening, that whatever there was between the two of them. The three of them.

Instead Zuko got silence.

He didn't want to look at Jet's face. It'd hurt less that way. So when the voice came next from two steps behind his left shoulder, he jumped.

"...Yeah, that...Hrrn."

Jet didn't look angry or irritated or dismissive, didn't look mocking. He looked... thoughtful? Frowning a bit.

"...Jet?"

Abrupt, Jet shook his head, met Zuko's eyes with a frown still on his face. "Katara's been on my case for not sharing. So. Here I am, sharing. I don't like it much that your ex's gonna be around. Does she want to get back together?"

Zuko shrugged helplessly. "I have no idea. We -- we haven't talked. Beside, I..."

"You've got a girlfriend already."

He didn't even have to think before he kicked out, though he didn't even make contact with Jet's ankle; the asshole dodged. "Don't be a jerk, that's not all I have." Was it?

"Isn't it?"

"... You jerk."

"My middle name," Jet replied with a smirk. It faded fast, though. "You know why I'm here."

"Yeah." Zuko swallowed. His throat was tight. "I won't have you tomorrow."

"... Yeah." They stared at each other for a second or three. Jet gave a quick, twitchy shrug, like he didn't care, though his jaw was clenched tight, his shoulders up defensively, not loose and ready at all. It wasn't a 'sorry', but it was a 'I'm taking it kind of hard too'. "Got no place in a Fire palace for an Earth nobody. I'd fight at your side, but I won't give my blade to the Fire Lord. And what else can I be? Laundry boy? Pet peasant, to amuse the court with? Your mud-blooded consort? Please."

It was kind of funny, that this was the first time Jet had ever actually used a word to refer to the two of them as...something. He'd call Katara his lover, his girlfriend; Zuko he called 'that asshole Firebender I'm stuck with' or maybe 'the hissy one with the nice ass'.

"So." The grin Jet quirked him next was strange. "Wanna join the Freedom Fighters?"

Zuko chuckled soundlessly. Anything louder would hurt. "Maybe another day. Wanna stay the night?"

"See, if I were cruel, I'd say 'maybe another day', but you're a hot piece of ass and I really don't mind tapping that. The soul of tenderness and generosity, that's me."

Zuko didn't tell him Katara had come by, earlier, with the same speech or almost. Peasant Tribeswoman, she missed the ice, she missed her father, she believed in what Aang was doing and they both agreed he needed someone to travel with, hated court politics, made her feel small and choked-up and surrounded by toad-vipers. He just smiled the same strange smile right back and held out his hand.

They never did make it to the huge imperial bed with all the embroidered draperies. The carpet was so thick it made no difference.

I'm already working on a sequel but it's not Gamzee POV so HMMM maybe he'll have something interesting to say about it. I'll have to see how much of my bunnies the already-there sequel is going to eat up, there's always a couple details that don't make it in the story but often they're not enough to bother writing down. Will see! I'm glad you like the homestuck things. ^__^

Or how about Restoreverse: Tifa having a nightmare about Nibelheim and then interaction with Sephiroth (maybe he had the same flashback/nightmare? or ooh, they switch dreams? idk) and timeframe after they return from Wutai.
