Garden silliness

Askerian: You speed up a little, to go check on... urgh, who is there to check on that you actually want to talk to, not Eridan or Vriska, that's for sure. Tavros maybe? Bet he'd just grin and bounce on his fleshy toes and take ten minutes to say how, uh, how very happy he, um, is, that, er, they're home and, um, not besieged by imperial drones and a couple battleships.
Askerian: XD
book_people: hahahaha
book_people: oh, Tavros
book_people: poor baby
Askerian: also, karkat is mean.
book_people: yes. Yes he is
book_people: it is part of his charm
Askerian: *and, um, not besieged by imperial drones and a couple battleships and maybe a nest of Crumple-Horned Snorkacks.
Askerian: ROWLING HAD TO GET IT FROM SOMEWHERE.
book_people: oh my god, Karkat, you are such a jackass! XDDDDD
book_people: Clearly they are actually a thing on Alternia
Askerian: (karkat likes harry potter, apart from that kinky double-moirail thing harry has going on with ron and hermione. also why the fuck he and malfoy never get to kiss onscreen he never did get.)
Askerian: (also snape was obviously james' jilted kismesis. and then he and sirius had a go at it but sirius came on way too strong.)
book_people: XDDD I started typing that, just so you know
Askerian: great minds~ ^.~
Askerian: ... this goes on LJ

QUADRANTS. SO much better than our pathetic human system. Truly, Andrew Hussie's greatest gift to fandom was to make hate-sex a legitimate thing in his cannon, thereby accelerating Homestuck to it's position as the Touhou of the West.

You know, sometimes I think that Homestuck fandom has almost reached some sort of critical mass whereby it could just keep going forever, new people coming into the fandom, archive binging, and producing new fan-works that then attract more people to the fandom. A chain reaction of fans.

That makes so much sense.

I can't stop thinking about how the quadrant system would impact the HP world now. Not just the main characters, but the whole world. Don't have time to write it all out now, but here's the first portion:

Inter-House relationships with Slytherins wouldn't be taboo, but only in the black or ashen quadrant, maybe pale if they're benign enough, though the Slytherins would probably look down on anyone that needs someone outside their House to moderate them, mostly because it requires opening yourself up to someone not "in." Anybody that has flushed feelings needs to keep it secret, though maybe going from black to flushed is more acceptable, since you can't help i as much if your feeling switch like that. So there's probably some flushed couples who have to fake an elaborate blackrom and then swap over to redrom after a convincing period of time.

Hufflepuffs have the highest number of pale and ashen inter-House couples, they might have a reputation of being pale sluts. Their House trait is stalwart friendship, after all. They probably have to deal with a lot of broken hearts because people automatically put them in the pale zone even when they're flushed, and it's extremely rare for someone to take their blackom approaches seriously. It's said that the fatest way to get a morail in Hogwarts is to go stomping down a hall near their common room ranting, or maybe just brooding and moping.

Ravenclaws tend to be the auspistice in three-way relationships, though it's probably more of a duty than desire. They're rational enough to know that there needs to be balance and they're level-headed (not to mention prideful) enough to want to take the responsibility.

That leaves the redrom majority for Gryffindors, but oddly they tend to have equal numbers of blackrom for reasons they can't quite figure out. (Everybody else knows it's because they're brash and in-your-face and get on people's nerves, but they think they've got the flushed romance quadrant locked.)

The school dances may need to be more specialized. The dueling club is considered a romantic pastime for blackrom couples, much to the annoyance of people who actually want to duel and who come out looking like sweethearts. Nobody talks about its impact on Quidditch matches by silent agreement, especially since some of the Gryffindor/Slytherin matches almost wind up porny. (Harry/Draco shippers rejoice!)

Trying to stay away from characters, but I've got to say that Harry must have had some very confusing black feelings growing up, since Snape had to tone down the abject hatred and abuse or risk looking like a child molester, which only made him hate Harry more. And since Harry hates him already, and keeps being antagonized, but not to the point of actual fulfillment of black feeling, it must have spilled over into his relationship with Draco, which probably may have caused him to either come on too strong sometimes, or rush certain parts of their relationship. *coughwildbackcorridormonkeysexcough*
