( yay for seasonal ficlet-things~ )

OMG. the latest filler ep didn't completely suck. *amazed*

( spoilers for the latest Naruto filler arc )

Anyway, Muffy has a theory. The old scriptwriters are dead. Possibly of drug overdose (they were hitting em hard, after all).

Yeah, this makes sense, because, while this filler arc still isn't at the level I usually expect from the series, and while there were still some slight problems of characterization and "this jutsu doesn't work that way!!", it actually has a mildly complex plot (it's not "evil bad guy is being evil, naruto and compagny come in, kick ass and take names"; Naruto messes up in ways that aren't ~~solely~~ for comic relief, with possibility of serious consequences, and the characters' backstory isn't as horribly flat and cliche as it looks at the beginning.)

So yeah. It's not as good as the real thing, but... I'm waiting for the next ep anyway.

( I think I've managed to pinpoint one thing that bothers me in the fillers, though. )
