Karkat wasn't kidding about the sun and how it can kill you. There's a metric fuckton layers of leaves between you and the sky, and apparently the only thing it does is make things like a well-lit sauna. Standing in direct sunlight would probably microwave you alive in under fifteen minutes.

So I was reading this AWESOME crossover between Generation Kill (which I have not watched) and A Companion to Wolves, which is a nordic fantasy AU that is... also kind of Pern but with huge wolves instead of dragons. (The fic is basically about a company of Marines who each have their own wolves; I read it almost like an ofic and it pinged all my buttons like crazy anyway.) So there I was, trying to tell myself I was not allowed to come up with ANOTHER gundam wing AU where the boys have speshul animals, I have the Gundams As Dragons 'verse and the Daemon AU already seriously overkill or what.

But. Wolves! Psychic imprinting! Pack bonding! WOLVES!

But no bad Asuka, too many fics about psychic pack bonding or wolves or both already.

BUT THEN SUDDENLY A 'FEST.

It's almost like an excuse. @__@

So um I still don't know if I'll participate in that contest thinger, but I already have the wolves's description and scent names and how they met their boys all mapped out want to keep track of it and possibly have more people join up to get more delicious fic to read. So. Yeah.
