Of my own invention, because I liek kissies and I'm sick and tired of that stupid writing block. Rarr.

So.

Here's the list of characters I'm willing to write about :
Sasuke, Naruto, Kyuunaru, Sakura, Sai, Itachi, Neji, Hinata, Hanabi, Ino, Heero, Duo(Duo's all spent, sorry!), Wufei, Dark Schneider, Kall Su, Rukia, Orihime, Cloud, Sephiroth, Zack, Aeris, Tifa, Red XIII, Cid, Vegeta, Bulma, and Roxas. (... I might have forgotten some; if so, I'll add them later if I'm reminded. It's a good start anyway. ;p)
(and I guess if you want to, you can ask for any of my OCs, fanfic and ofic both. *eyes Saro and Jo with suspicion* >.>)

1) Choose two characters in the list. Yes, only two.
2) Then choose a mood. (content, melancholy, giggly and the like).
3) Then I write you kissies. NO MOOD, NO KISSIES.

I'll be trying for at least ten sentences of it, but it can be one line, it can be ten pages (I seriously hope it won't, but.) Yes, there are different fandoms in there. Yes, I'm totally willing to write crossover kissies. Yes, I'm even willing to write pairings I usually wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole. Go wild, peoples.

I'm going to do them in batches of 5 because I have no idea when my energy will run out, but until I close it, feel free to ask anyway, just be aware that I might not get to your request. If I start a batch, it will be finished. if not, um, tough luck? XD

Plz don't request impossible things too much, like Sephiroth and Itachi being happy or something. XD I'm trying to keep the crack on the "strange but still sorta IC" side of things, I have this pathological need to explain what the fuck is going on and when I can't I get all sad. ;__;

Askerian stares at Reiyel. He clings to his aloof, wary expression, clings with all his might. Sitting in front of him, the black-winged angel watches him with casual detachment, a perfectly normal, perfectly polite gentleman.

"Of course, then she noticed the hoof prints."

Askerian clings a second longer, and then he thinks 'fuck it' and he laughs like he's wanted to for the last half-hour. The problem, of course, being that once he's started he can't stop. You can say a lot of bad things about Reiyel -- that he's a pervert, a cheater, a liar, an oathbreaker, and an utter asshole -- bad things, and true, too; but you can't say he's not utterly hilarious. Askerian just wanted to chuckle, maybe a couple of seconds, but then Reiyel's arosticratic, fine-boned features contort in a vivid imitation of his story's little cast, and then the blond is laughing so hard he can't breathe. It erupts from deep in his stomach and shakes his whole body, and he slumps back in his chair, glaring at Reiyel even as he guffaws.

"You're such a dick," he says, trying to be insulting, but it's hard to sound contemptuous when you're still snickering.

He expected Reiyel to look smug, for making the guy who hates his guts laugh. Reiyel doesn't look smug at all. He looks surprised. Happily so.

He also looks like he's getting closer -- oh -- oh crap, escape, escape -- gack!

Reiyel leans over him, hands on either side of his head on the back of the couch, and catches the last laugh right on Askerian's lips. It's soft and undemanding; Askerian is too frozen to punch him on the spot.

And then, of course, when the black-winged angel leans back, he makes a sheepish little smile like a poor, miserable, famished street kid caught stealing a cookie, and by the time Askerian has worked himself up in a state where he could punch him anyway, Reiyel's sitting again and way out of range.

"Hey, you needed a laugh; I provided. See it as payment. Say, did I ever tell you the story of the gay Ork and the vampire-centaurette?"

"So your ... gun-dan, has these things that make it invisible, but only on certain frequencies?" Sakura gives Duo an incredulous laugh. "Did no one ever look out the window?"

Duo grins and twirls the chair around to sit in front of her, arms crossed on the back and legs straddling the seat.

"Nope! See, my world is awesome, and even less logical than your Jesus-magic. You should totally come back with me."

"No offense, but what would I do there? I can't use your machines to fight, and you say people don't have hair like mine, so I couldn't even be a spy."

Duo's grin softens. "You could do rescue missions. And heal. Did I tell you the story of my crazy teammate who went and fixed his own broken leg and then walked on it for hours on end like a crazy man? And the story of that time we got taken prisoners by OZ?"

Sakura giggles. "Which time was that? You told me of two separate incidents."

Duo scratches the back of his head guiltily. "There might have been a third. ...And a fourth. We're really not that incompetent!"

"I'll believe you," she replies dryly. "Capturing you, proves they have more resources. Letting you escape four times amply proves they're more incompetent than you are."

Duo beams. "Yep!"

"After all," she replies blithely, "it really isn't so hard to break a few bones in the foot to render just about anyone unable to even rest their weight on it, much less escape."

Duo swallows. Sakura smiles pleasantly.

"After all, bones break so easily. Now I believe before we started getting along so well I was leading an interrogation about your Fire Country safehouse, wasn't I?"

Duo grimaces. Sakura keeps smiling. Then she puts on her gloves.

"Fine, fine. But only 'cause I like you."

"And I wouldn't know how to turn your DeathScythe on, anyway."

"Hehe. Yeah, that too."

With a great put-upon sigh, he starts explaining the location. When he's done, Sakura grins and gathers her notes briskly. He huffs and sprawls across the table, watching her leave.

he looks so much like a kicked puppy, and there's a tiny note of very real worry in his eyes, that she goes back on her tracks and plants a quick kiss at the corner of his mouth.

"I expect you to take me along for a ride in that Gun-dan of yours. And after giving me such a hard time, you better bring me flowers, too."

Cheered up, he sits properly and grins, waving his cuffed hands. "It's a date!"

Sakura walks out of the cell still grinning.

"But I -- no, wait, it's not that I don't -- but -- you see, Sakura-chan--!"

"Sakura-chan doesn't have this, does she?" Jin replies with a soft, almost dangerous purr, as he stalks up to him and his kimono parts a little more with each step he takes.

Naruto whimpers and freezes at the glimpse of a flat chest, slender legs, a teasing curl of hairs on a flat belly. His hands trail down his sides, toward something Naruto is fairly sure Sakura doesn't possess.

A long smoke-gray lock slides over Jin's shoulder, barring that white-skinned chest with temptingly soft wisps of hair. "She doesn't have a dick," Jin whispers, and his voice has a hint of roughness behind the gentle, seductive lilt that goes straight to Naruto's groin.

Jin straddles his lap and his hands catch Naruto's wrists, stop them from pushing him back. And then he kisses him, long and slow, openmouthed and wet. "...Does she?"

Naruto needs a few seconds to remember the question. "... No? But. Uh. Sasuke does! And Sasuke, he -- well, he'll be... he won't be very..."

Then Beni is standing beside him, and her kimono is closed properly, belt pulled tight around her waist. But then it ends at mid-thigh, and her legs are so long and so smooth that Naruto is pretty sure if he craned his neck a little he would know whether she wears panties.

Seeing her teammates, the question should probably be whether she shaves or not. And her legs just won't quit. She props up one of her feet on the couch, elegant, graceful, and she teases the thigh Jin isn't straddling with her bare toes.

"Does your Sasuke have legs like that?"

Beni kneels on the couch, one of her knees behind his back, the other slowly inching forward to straddle whatever space her teammate left free. She breathes in his ear, and then she trails nibbles down his chin until she can flick her tongue at his lips, and there she nips him again, and it makes him whimper.

"...Sakura-chan does? Well, maybe not that long but. Erm. They're pretty nice, really!"

Kigane sighs and pouts at him, and her lips are red and so full and they're the kind of lips that are made to be around a cock. She leans toward him, and -- well she doesn't unbelt her kimono like Jin did, but then she doesn't need to, because it wasn't holding her breasts in even before she leaned over him, presenting him with a supple, tempting valley and the edge of a very pink nipple.

She kisses him, too, sucks on his tongue like she would suck on his cock, and he's so hard it hurts, oh yes, yes, yes. "Neither of them has those, do they?" she asks with smug triumph, as she places one of Naruto's hand on her breasts.

"No, but mine are better," Naruto replies without thinking.

Two seconds later he's been dumped out of the couch by three disgusted kunoichi, and there's no pretty boy on his lap, no long legs against his side and no breasts under his nose.

"Fine, you win! Damn it."

It's the first dare in his life Naruto would have been happier losing.

"Hey, Chang..."

Wufei tenses up as he hears the other SOLDIER come in. He recognizes the voice, and, thanks to the latest Mako injection, he recognizes the scent, too. He's not one of the last people Wufei wants to talk to right now, but then the list is pretty crowded at the top.

"If you want to bother me about that story I told the other day when you got me drunk, I don't remember it, it was probably straight off the B-movie channel, and your fellow First Class have already laughed at every single thing there was to mock in there."

"Aw, Chang, would I kick you when you're down?"

"No," Wufei replies with some resentment, "But you'd laugh at me anyway. You were laughing pretty hard the other night."

The other SOLDIER walks closer on silent feet; Wufei knows anyway, because he starts hearing a faint ba-bump rhythm. It's still weird to him, but Wufei doesn't mistake it for his own heartbeat and high blood pressure anymore.

"That's only because you were so animated. That Nataku you described, I wonder where they worship her in Wutai?"

Wufei doesn't see how he would know, seeing as he's never been there in his life, both before and after his trip through the Lifestream, but it seems to be home to a sort of pseudo-Asia, or at least a place where people present enough physical traits that no one is willing to accept him as less than a full-blooded Wutaian. At least he didn't arrive to this world a couple of years later, during the war he's heard about. He should know about what they worship in the village he's supposed to have been born, though, but it's hard to lie to a SOLDIER, and besides he appreciates Fair enough not to try.

So he just doesn't answer; he grunts and starts folding clothes again.

"Hey, Chang..."

Zack leans over his shoulder and gves him a friendly grin. "Sure you don't remember the story? It was interesting, I wanted to know how it ends."

"Fair, that's not funny", Wufei snaps angrily. Zack immediately looks guilty.

"You know I just tease you because I like you, right?"

Wufei sighs. He's starting to feel a little bad. Just a little, though. "... Yes... I know."

"I don't think you do!" the man counters cheerfully, and then he backs up Wufei against a pile of folded shirts and plants a frank kiss on his lips.

It smacks in a funny way, but if it were a joke it wouldn't last, a second, two, three... ten.

Zack's lips open briefly, and Wufei's follow without thought, just enough to mingle their breaths, and it's over. Wufei thinks he must have had gray eyes, before mako turned them materia-violet. They're close enough he can see the reflection of his own gold-over-black irises in them.

Zack smiles then, a small, amused smile -- an almost tender one. And then the smile fades away and he's serious like he almost never is. "I really do want to hear the end of the story one day, if you feel up to telling me. I promise I'll keep you sober until the end, and get you as drunk as you need afterwards."

And then he leaves the laundry room, abandoning Wufei with his many piles of soldier uniforms still left to fold.

"I'll ... consider the offer," Wufei whispers once he's alone, knowing that Zack can hear him anyway. Then he goes back to work.

It doesn't go fast, when all he can think is 'I'm not lonely, I'm not, I'm not.'

Also, i couldn't resist adding in some manga spoilers. Sorry. .____.



Sasuke's eyelids flicker, and he tries to sit up a little straighter in his hospital bed. Of course his ribs tell him that he shouldn't, but he doesn't listen to pain, hasn't listened for a while. He stares at the blond young man sitting at his bedside, who just leaned over him and undid the padded restrains and kissed him, stiff and awkward and painfully sincere. Sasuke doesn't understand the kiss. He doesn't understand the restrains. He doesn't understand anything.

He wants to ask why he's free. Too vulnerable. He doesn't.

He wants to ask why he can see.

So of course he asks about what just happened.

"What the hell was that, dead-last?"

"A kiss," Naruto snaps back with predictable, welcome fire. The fire turns banked too fast, though, becomes flustered awkwardness. "You know, Sakura-chan told me that her mom taught her how to heal people with a kiss." He eyes Sasuke's body doubtfully.

There are more bandages than intact skin. "It's going to need a lot of kissing," Sasuke replies dryly, before he can think. A grin blooms on Naruto's face.

Sasuke would stare at it all day, but it would just remind him of the question he cannot ask. His one unbroken hand lifts, touches his cheek, his eyelid. It's not even puffy. He doesn't get it.

Naruto's smile has gone underground again. He reaches for Sasuke's hand, pulls it away from the seeking pattern Sasuke is tracing and tracing again around his eye socket. He leans forward, and kisses his brow, and when Sasuke closes his eyes, he kisses his eyelid too.

Awkward. Unsure. Sincere. ...Nice.

"He gave them back," Naruto whispers, so quietly Sasuke barely hears. "When Tobi -- Madara... who the fuck ever he was. When you wouldn't let me die. He gave them back."

Sasuke would shake himself apart if he started breathing again, so he doesn't. He's steady like the last second before the avalanche.

"... My brother."

"Yeah. Your brother."

Naruto doesn't say anything as Sasuke's shoulders tremble soundlessly and a damp spot spreads on his orange shirt. He plays with Sasuke's hair, at the back where it's been shorn and sticks up soft like the fur of a cat.

A hour or two later, he kisses Sasuke's lips again, and his tongue flicks at the salty wetness afterwards.

"So? Healed yet?"

Sasuke snorts in contempt, though he doesn't straighten up yet. "No."

"Hey, they do so work!"

Sasuke doesn't point out that if they worked at all, it was only because Sakura happens to be a medic-nin. He could, but that's not what comes out at all. "Then it's just that yours are too weak."

"... That just means you need to be dosed up again."

Sasuke blows his nose and nods thoughtfully. "Yeah, probably."

Naruto kisses him again. This time Sasuke kisses back.

The pink bitch is fuming. Kyuubi smirks and pretends not to notice, tails floating and curling lazily behind him. She's almost always so meek and cautious; he likes it, likes the respect and the fear she can't hide, but he likes the banked fire of her temper too. He still remembers the fight in the soul room. He almost wants it to happen again. (Except of course this time around he would win.)

"Hm, yes... She really does remind me of my Tsuki. The same grace."

The pink bitch snorts at his use of the word grace, which he admits he doesn't use often, but he's old enough to have heard a whole lot of words he doesn't care to use.

Retaliating is easy. A quick, disdainful glance at the pink, bristly mane, cut as short as is practical...

"Well-groomed too. Sleek fur, soft as a cub's, I could hold her in my paws all night long..."

Explosion. The pink bitch jumps on her feet and stalks up to him, fists clenched, vibrating with anger. Kyuubi expects to be hit; if she does, then maybe he could slip Naruto's leash and retaliate.

Instead, she grabs the collar of that stupid shirt his host didn't want him to shred, and she leans in his face, and she says, "Stop staring at Hinata."

He smirks, and measures her up, and his eyes tell her he finds her wanting. "Hmm?"

"Don't make me bite you."

And then she bites him, on the lip, and if she had fangs he'd be bleeding.

He does have fangs, and for him, she bleeds. But when he reels her in his lap to lick up the red on her lips, and holds her tight because he expects her to struggle, she only bites him again and growls, and then her tongue tangles with his in a very interesting way.

He allows it, on a probationary basis.

Later, she calls it a kiss (she also calls him a retard, but another bite cures her of that.) He decides to allow her to kiss him again, except of course this time around he chooses a more interesting part of his anatomy.

Itachi and Sai, buzzed ^___^

The other members of Akatsuki often asked the same questions when they entered the common room and saw him sitting there, smiling as friendly as he could. "Who is he?" "What is he doing here?" "No, I mean, what is he doing here?"

"Sai," "Konoha's Danzou's envoy" and "Because I don't know what skills he has and at least like this I'm sure he's not slithering all over the base" were the laconic answers from the man they called Pain. In a couple of cases, he even added "Why? Are you so worried about his abilities that you think he could take you down if you drank even just the one glass?"

Uchiha Itachi didn't ask any of that. He went straight for his glass, drank it down, held it out for a refill, and then spent two minutes staring fixedly at Sai.

Sai kept smiling like a pretty doll.

"You look like my brother," Itachi remarked emotionlessly.

"Oh, really?" Sai replied, with as much emotion as he put behind everything else.

Itachi emptied his glass, got a second refill, and asked Sai his first and only question.

"Do you want to have sex?"

Sai considered it. Danzou-sama had told him to make himself useful and agreeable if he didn't want to die. "Of course." A smile.

He followed Itachi out of the room, two steps behind, quiet and amenable, and asked his first question of the evening, because it was a mission parameter he needed and he didn't want to do it wrong.

"Should I call you aniki?"

Itachi stopped walking right there in the middle of the corridor; Sai didn't have any time to draw out a weapon before his back hit the wall. And then there was a mouth on his, so bruisingly hard it might have been an attack after all.

"Niisan." Itachi's voice was soft like the whisper of a snake through the grass. "Call me niisan."

I was going to say "Heero and Sasuke" (mood: does 'indescribable' count? Imagining "silly" kept exploding my brain.), and it's amusing that someone else already asked for Sakura/Duo. Now maybe someone will complete the cycle and request Wufei/Naruto...? XD;

They met at the convenience store, over the last jar of strawberry jam. Their hands met there, on the round metal top, and then their eyes, purple-blue and smoke-gray.

The boy grinned first; the girl wasn't far behind.

"You can have it," they said together.

"Oh, no, I'm so sorry, I don't want to deprieve you! My tomatoes will taste fine without -- I guess I could try blackberry instead, oh, or is there anything called redberry, I wonder... Anyway, please have it."

He laughed. "It's okay, miss, it's not for me. It's for my roommate. He's a grouch without it--"

"Oh, then you definitely must have it!"

"--No, no! For a lady, he'll understand." His grin turned a little more devious. "And if he doesn't, I get to poke fun at him."

"I know!" she exclaimed happily. "I will duel you for it. If I win, you get the jar of strawberry!"

"Duel?" he replied, a little startled.

"Duel!" She nodded firmly. "You may have the choice of weapons. What shall it be, gentleman? Rapier? Or the strength of our fists?"

He blinked at her in shock, and then he didn't mutter and run away -- he laughed, laughed and leaned toward her, and his hand cupped her cheek. It was warm and callused and gentle, cradling her very cautiously.

"Tell you what. I'll let you eat it, if you let me taste it."


Duo's lips tasted of strawberry the rest of the afternoon.

Oh I need a mood too. Uh...

Naruto/Hinata, mood is... Distressed!

"Oh no -- Naruto-kun, get yp, please -- get up!"

Hinata's hands fluttered nervously over his chest. She thought he was still breathing, but she couldn't tell for sure; he was alive, his chakra still flowed, but he'd cracked his head on the edge of the pool pretty hard, and that was before he slipped in the pool and disappeared underwater.

What should she -- she'd learned CPR. It wasn't hard. She still remembered how to. ...And at least her first kiss would still go to Naruto, in a way. A hand holding her towel, she leaned down and turned her cheek to his lips, to try to feel his breath. She heard a funny little gasp, his chest started, and then went utterly still again.

"Naruto-kun!" Cheeks pale now with worry for him, she pressed her lips to Naruto's and exhaled.

And again. And again. Until she was dizzy, until he breathed on his own, until... until his hand was in her hair, and he was looking at her with soft eyes, and, oh, he was calling, "Hinata-chan," so softly...

Her sight blurred with tears of relief, and she kissed him again, properly this time. She'd been so scared.

Of course, she forgot to keep a good hold on her towel.

Then she had to administr CPR again, but by then she had the trick down and it didn't take her half as long to bring Naruto around again.




"Okay, okay, I'll tell you! So we were at the pool, when suddenly Hinata's swimsuit breaks a strap, and then THE RACK! It was divine, I swear, I thought I saw angels..."

"I won't wish you good luck," Neji says. His voice is quiet, and he doesn't move, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed negligently. His eyes are closed and it's like he hasn't been waiting for her at all, except there's nothing to this little path around the back of the clan meeting house apart from the fact that it's the one Hinata prefers.

Hinata heard him say before that luck is only for people who aren't good enough to succeed on actual merit. "That's good," she replies softly, with a calm she didn't quite feel up until she saw him, waiting. "Because it isn't something I need."

He opens his eyes then, and the lilacs that grow against the wall tint them pale lavender, and she knows he'll wait here for her to come back and always look as if he expected no other outcome than the best. So she goes up on tiptoes and brushes her lips against him, fleeting, just a short kiss and then she's bowing at him and walking away.

She can't startle him with the best she can do, because he's seen her grow every step of the way and he trusts she will succeed as a matter of course. But there are other ways to take him by surprise. When Hinata steps inside the house to meet the Elders, there's still serenity in her eyes and a little smile on her lips.

Le loup n'aimait pas nager. L'eau était salée; il avait soif. Stupide océan! Il allait se noyer. C'était vraiment une manière idiote de mourir. Il leva son museau et hurla au-dessus des vague, mais seuls les oiseaux lui répondirent, et il savait qu'ils ne seraient pas assez gentils pour se mettre à portée de dents et lui offrir un dernier dîner.

Il appela encore une fois, même si c'était inutile. Il aurait bien aimé avoir un partenaire human à ce moment; il aurait pu l'appeler, même si sa réputation serait ruinée pour toujours. Mais les humains et la meute étaient trop loin.

C'était vraiment une mort stupide.

/Bête étrange appelle? bonjour, bonjour?/

Geir secoua ses oreilles, qui étaient pleines d'eau, et tourna la tête pour trouver la personne qui répondait. Pas un loup; la voix était claire comme celle des membres de sa meute, mais... humaine, aussi. Mais les humans ne parlaient qu'avec leur partenaire, et pas très bien.

/Perdu?/

Geir grogna, et puis gémit. Il avait des crampes dans ses pattes, et un loup assez fatigué pour avoir des crampes, ce n'est pas courant.

La voix avait l'air inquiète pour lui. Il prit un ton de chiot perdu et répondit /perdu-douleur-peur -- aide-moi?/

Une tête humaine apparut pas très loin de lui, une jeune femelle au pelage bizarrement gris qui sentait la mer. Geir n'aimait plus l'odeur de la mer maintenant, mais il était prêt à faire semblant. Il gémit encore une fois; /faible-fatigué-pas dangereux./ Sa fierté survivrait bien ça, si il survivait aussi.

Lentement, l'humaine nagea plus près et prit sa patte de devant, et commença à le tirer à travers les vagues. Geir décida qu'elle ne voulait pas le noyer et se détendit un peu (enfin, si elle avait essayé, au moins il aurait eu à manger. Ca n'aurait pas été dur de la mordre.) Dix minutes plus tard, l'humaine le tira jusqu'à une île, et il grimpa sur la plage. Ses muscles étaient fatigués mais il se secoua quand même; l'humaine rit quand les gouttes d'eau volèrent dans tous les sens.

/bizarre, bizarre!/

Geir renifla. Elle était plus bizarre que lui. Qui avait entendu parler d'une femelle humaine avec une queue de poisson, sérieusement? Enfin, c'était pratique dans la mer. /gratitude/ envoya-t-il, parce que l'île était petite et que peut-être elle lui donnerait à manger.

/De rien. Bête bizarre -- tu es quoi? curieuse curieuse/

Geir essaya de se donner un air noble, mais son poil collait de partout et elle rit encore. Il éternua. Il était vraiment très fatigué, et il avait faim, et il était perdu. Ce n'était pas une bonne journée. La fille s'adoucit et tendit la main pour caresser ses oreilles.

"Shh, shh." /tout va bien. Je te nourris-protège-prend soin de toi. On trouve ta meute après./

Soupirant de soulagement, Geir pencha la tête pour se faire caresser et lécha la joue de la jeune fille en remerciement.

Il n'était pas surpris, elle avait goût de poisson.

Ino threw him a winsome smile. "Never. I'll find a way in if you don't let me."

Duo laughed. "Go ahead and try. I don't think you know how to hack a super-computer via the audio interface."

Ino tilted her head curiously. "Audio interface? What's sound got to do with it?"

Duo shrugged, and hoped she would drop it, but Ino's curious look only morphed into a slow smirk.

"It listens to you, doesn't it. The only access is through sound."

Damn, she was sharp.

"So, hm, is there a code word?" She turned to face the machine. "Open, Deathscythe!"

The gundam failed to comply.

"Open the door? Hatch? ... Let me in?"

Duo snickered. Ino huffed with fake offense and tugged on her ponytail as she thought.

"... It's not really the words, is it? Or not only. It's the sounds. It knows your voice."

Duo's smile didn't slip an inch, but Ino's only grew, as if she could see it anyway. Damn, but they did train them well at that ninja academy. Maybe Duo had found the one school he wouldn't mind attending.

"Yep, that's it. If you don't have the right words and the right voice, then nothing happens. Tough luck, huh?"

Ino sighed sadly. "Mmh, yes. It's no use taping your voice if you won't say the right words..." She slumped against Duo's shoulder, giving him puppy eyes that made him bite back a smile, even as he felt a strange urge to keep track of his wallet and other valuables.

And then she poured her body against his own, chest to chest, arms sliding around his neck, and there were lips on his own. He allowed it for one second, and then caught her arms and gently tried to disentangle her. What sort of trick was she playing now? He wondered, looking her in the eye.

When her hands came up over his head, the fingers were interlocked into a strange position, and then he saw nothing but her eyes, and then nothing at all.

Ino caught her falling body and lowered it on the ground with great care, and patted her own chest. Nice, not bulky and unmaneuverable at all. And he had great hair, too! Grinning a shark grin, she turned back to face the robot and started rattling off potential access codes in Duo Maxwell's voice. In the back of her -- his -- head, Duo glowered a lot.

It was the last day before classes started again, and Roxas thought it would be a fine day to go to the beach, if only he could gather enough money. Hayner and Pence and Olette were at the usual place, and they all agreed to look, and the four of them went zipping through the town.

His town. He knew it so well; he'd always been there.

He ran through the streets, delivering things -- searching for clues? Either, both -- and he knew the streets and the crowd of faceless inhabitants parted for him. Sometimes a face stood out briefly -- Seifer, Vivi, the ice-cream guy. He didn't stop; maybe he would, later, maybe tomorrow (but today was his last day.)

There were tasks to do, and people he blew past because he had no time to chat, and money won (not quite enough. It was fine. It was nice anyway. Together in his town.) Then home, and sleep, and morning again.

Chores, running, faceless crowds, the blonde girl again but he didn't have the time and he didn't even know her anyway and then she planted her hands on her hips and told him to stop right there, mister.

He would have, because she sounded like Hayner's mom, but he had things to do.

Then his back hit a wall and her hand hit his face and it hurt. He clenched his hands as she ranted at him about weird psycho stuff, nothing that made sense, and he wanted her gone already.

It felt nice and right to swipe at her with his weapon; the first time glanced off her shoulder and she dodged the second, but now he could see how she moved and he knew the third hit wouldn't miss, and it was so right and perfect and she deserved it.

Then she was gone in a puff of smoke that made no sense, and his weapon was gone, and he was late for his delivery.

The next day (the last day) he was skating through the crowd when he saw a blonde (not Seifer) girl (not Olette) who called his name. (There were a R and a A and a S and a O in it, and perhaps even another letter so) he stopped, and she smiled at him and batted her eyelashes.

Seifer batted his eyelashes at him sometimes, but mostly as a mean-spirited joke. If she had attacked him, he would have retaliated (his weapon was eager, fingertips tingling in anticipation) but her hands on his arms were more caresses than anything, and he had no clue what to do about the soft brush of lips on his. It was kind of hard to just dismiss a girl kissing him, no matter how late he was getting.

And while he was standing there dazed and confused, she crowed, "Finally!", closed her hands around his wrists, and everything around him went up in smoke.

It was like falling, and he almost felt as if he should have been scared, but all along the way she never let go.

And once again, she landed flat on her back. The breath knocked out of her, Tifa wheezed and blinked furiously to clear her sight. The sky was intensely blue, but the clouds of dust she'd raised in her successive falls darkened it.

"We can take a break, if you want." Zack's head appeared in her field of vision, upside-down. He looked almost apologetic, as if to say 'sorry, once again I didn't manage to make myself weak enough to match you'. Tifa clenched her fists in frustration. As knowledgeable in martial arts as she was, SOLDIER enhancements just didn't allow fair play.

Well. It wasn't like the way they'd flung plants and rocks at each other had been very fair either. Or the way he yanked on her hair...

"... No," she gritted out stubbornly, reaching for his face. "We're not done yet."

There wasn't much that could surprise a SOLDIER, but apparently, being kissed when he'd been expecting to be thrown worked.

Of course, it only gave Tifa a half-second of unguardedness, but that was more than enough to plant her heels in the ground and fling him ass over head to flatten him on the ground almost the same way she'd been flattened. She grinned in triumph at his shocked grunt as she reversed their positions.

And then, kneeling by his head, leaning over him upside-down, she kissed him again, to remember his rueful smile of approval on her lips.
