Teamwork perked up today -- I woke up already coming up with actual SENTENCES while i was still half-awake and shit, I love that -- only to die again by the time I was done hammering out some wrinkles. I am Frustrated.

I have decided that the chapter itself is done, BUT I can't post it yet because it's pretty much just the scene with Team KyuubiFodder and that means a really short chapter, which is why it's got to wait for the sidefics to be written. They should have been actual scenes in the chapter, but they're really random and fractured and I couldn't make them gel together -- it's more of a "random shit that happened during the one month gap but doesn't impact much on what happens afterwards" and that's just awkward.

... one of the scenes is Sakura and her baby bulge. XD ... another scene is gaara and naruto discussing akatsuki and the other demon bearers, which will have NO relevance to the plot until TEAMWORK 4.



But anyway. I want to do a meme. Several memes! (not a writing, ficlet-making meme. a fandom meme or an idea meme or whatever.) I just can't figure out which. Welcoming suggestions. plz loev me. T^T

... hell, I think I want to try these, but am still welcoming other memes on top of it since I don't know how well they'll work out.

¤ Inspired by Doctor Who's "Turn Left:" Pick one of my stories and tell me a point in the tale that you'd change. Something tiny (e.g. "and then Fay chose silver glitter instead of gold") or big (e.g. "and then Rose was arrested instead of Jack") and I'll tell you how that one difference would have altered the course of the entire story.

Kid/Duo

First they'd have to be in the same time period, so let's drag the events of DCMK up to AC 194/195.

Kaito's first heist goes well. So does his second. The third is a little overshadowed by the Gundams landing on Earth.

As the war heats up, Kid starts feeling less and less okay with taking up public attention and police resources. There's a war going on, there's looters, there's people worried about a possible draft and tensions, a few of his classmates' big brothers enlist, and while the Kid heists might make a good diversion for some of those people, Kaito is still more or less ignoring that the war even exists because his personal loss is more important. ... he never stops feeling that his father's death and that particular injustice are important, but he takes a break from official heists to think about things.

The Doves incident pings him as a little more complex than it's being reported as.

When things calm down a little after it, one rich General guy is being a pompous asshole with his big diamond, so Kid bites and goes for a heist. Surprise! there are mobile suits amongst the security.

Kid gets injured but escapes somehow. Fact: this was a trap. Fact: Black Org has a member or two in Romafeller, or at least friends who were willing to lend them the manpower for a civilian operation. Conjecture: they might have a lot more.

Conjecture: the war was manipulated into being. Fact: that'd be as much of an injuustice as his father's death was. Possibly more of one (though less personal. still loathesome.) Conclusion: need to find out more.

So Kid starts spying on Romafeller, building himself a mental map of who is connected to who and funds who for what and ideologies and alliances and etcetera. He starts infiltrating, playing the waiter at this gentlemen's club, the charming young debutante at that ball.

They're not only in Japan. They're strongly enmeshed with the military, especially the elite corps. He enlists in a Mobile Suit academy -- and surprise, when he applies himself his scores are through the roof. Good little elite boy.

He's not the only one in the class to have a false identity. There's this guy supposedly named Duo Maxwell who pings him less as a hopeful soldier-wannabe as someone with severe PTSD.

There's this captured Gundam Pilot on TV who looks about his age. There's his classmate tearing out of there. He watches as Heero displays pretty abnormal skills re: climbing walls and disabling security and the like, tracks him to the spaceport... Okay. Something in space, then. It's okay, that's still somewhere he needs to look at anyway.

He gets himself transfered to the Lunar Base, where he's partnered with someone called Hilde Schbeiker, and that's where he meets Duo, who is trying to sneak into the base to blow it up. Heh. Innnnnteresting.


... way too much plot after that. But after some ideological and goal clashes (and some "... hee, you're ballsy, I *like* you" and some "betcha i'm a better pickpocket!!" "oh, you're ON.") Kid decides that the Gundam Pilots (Duo at least) are alright, and since they can help each other he shares data with them pretty often. He stays in the shadows as long as he can, but becomes Duo's informer, and no doubt that would seriously affect the plot from here out but I'd have to research and re-watch the whole series to guess at the repercussions from there and omgded.

Anyway by the time the war ends he and Duo are hooking up on a regular basis. Sorry Hilde. XD Their relationship is made of a lot of random "i was in the neighborhood! did I ... startle you or something? >:D" and "oh btw i totally stole your thinger while we were making out, want it back?" and surprisingly upbeat snark and sarcasm. They get along well and they have fun, but they don't delude themseles into thinking this means just because they *like* each other they can *trust* each other. That takes muuuuch longer.

Kid never finds Pandora, but seeing as for all intents and purposes Black Org WAS Romafeller, by the end he's mostly satisfied.

(1) It can't happen during teamwork because it's happening post-sasuke was evil but he was brought back into the fold yay reunited, and the teamwork kids were never separated. That's an impossible fusion, I'm afraid. ^^;

But it's very possible that Unexpected Guests is secretly OT3 already and Kakashi just didn't know it yet, in which case it's extremely likely they would invite him in. The drinking game would end in a "okay kids, what the hell are you expecting out of it here, and don't say you're trying to seduce me because... wat."

then angst and "the hell no you're my kids it's a gross abuse of my power and also NO" and "are you scared or something, also LOL abuse of poower, since when d'you have any power over us, also you want it so bad you're all but bleeding inside for it, just you try to deny it."

"Azula Wins" ending to the AtlA series. Sorry Zuko. Her father isn't fit to reign anymore, though, not de-fire'd. Her success knocks some sanity back into her -- not much, but enough that she's more stable than not.

Anyway blahblah crush the opposition blahblah horrific injustice and executions and whatever, everyone submits blahdiblah and then the war's over and she now requires a consort. So she can, you know, make an heir and stuff. But the idea is abhorrent to her, because mommy issues vulnerability during pregnancy issues trusting the daddy long enough to touch her issues etcetera.

That's when the priestess arrives at the court. Azula is wary as fuck at first, and irritated by her peaceful strength (peaceful people are WEAK! WEAK DAMNIT.) so they keep clashing and more than once Azula gets damn close to having her executed just because. She can't figure out her game! (also what kind of name is Earisu srsly.)

But being around her, Azula can just think *better* somehow. Be calmer for longer, not crack and go irrational so harshly. ... this is good, therefore suspicious. She must want something!

So obv. the best way to deal with the threat without losing the beneficial influence is to lock her up and cut off her potential contact with outsiders and spies, but close by so she can be at hand when Azula needs -- um, feels like prodding at her.

In, say, the Fire Lord's harem? Yeah, that'll do. >__>

Turns out it's pretty much where she wanted to go, anyway, because she's not fazed at all. Angry Azula attempts Molestation... which turns somehow into crying ohgodneverletmego comfort sex. go figure. Azula haaaaaaaaaates it the next day, but oh god she craves the acceptance and healing. craaaaves it. And back and forth and back and forth hate you need you stop *forgiving* me already WHO ARE YOU?

Ehh, just an envoy of the world to restore Balance. No, not an Avatar. Just the daughter of an Earth man and the spirit/ghost of an Airbender, one foot in each world, and by the way the gods have seen fit to grant you a child. It's in my tummy. :D

(of course explosions ensue because the fuck. the fact that they're both woemn might be the easiest thing to get over here, because when the spirits are involved weird shit happens and Azula knows for sure no man got close to Aerith in a while. But the contempt/hate/disgust re: she was starting to LIKE someone from another element + her heir wouldn't be *pure* make for major raeg.)

Jet starts falling for Zuko on the ferry. Of course he also starts flirting. Zuko is very "... what, surely he can't mean it like *that* D:"

Canon progresses that way, except with a little more random surprise!making out before the big YOU'RE WHAT reveal. woohoo BETRAYED. Jet "dies," Zuko is startled to realize it ouchies a little, even though it was so fucked up and he really shouldn't.

Then they meet again in the Boiling Rock. X3333 which um you wrote that one, i don't think you need more details. XD-b

That or post-series, the Fire Lord gets visited by a wannabe assassin. XD Jet has grown up a little and MIGHT be starting to have a slightly more nuanced view of the world. SLIGHTLY. But this still means lots of messy OMG YOU'RE *WHO* and I DIDNT SNOG A FIREBENDER, I SNOGGED THE *TOP* FIREBENDER GODS WHY AAAA.

Jack finds a quantum mirror. Hi, Alternate Earth! ... the fuck is going on.

The quantum mirror is in the Lunar Base. Where Trowa is currently working as a spy. Startled by maneuvering Mobile Suits, Jack is promptly captured as a spy and interrogated but obviously that Une lady is batshit and he'd rather die than tell her about the mirror or the Stargate.

Trowa gets intrigued, because he knows for sure Jack didn't use any way in that HE would know to use, which means there's other means, which means HMMMM. Also while used to freefall Jack doesn't move like a space baby. HMMMM.

Trowa accidentally-on-purpose "slips up" and allows himself to be taken hostage. Does NOT expect to be led farther *inside* the base. Hmm.

An attack interrupts them before they can get in the room with the mirror; Trowa breaks free and drags Jack toward the hangar and into a cockpit before all the air in that section of the base leaks out. In the process Jack starts thinking that this disturbingly obedient/blank (brainwashed kid?) young soldier actually had a few questionnable habits. He's definitely elite, not a grunt -- at his age? huh -- and his allegiance is... huh.

Trowa pauses the Suit in space and they have a little talk -- what do you want, what can you get me in exchange, stuff like that.

I have no idea how to get it to become a pairing, because it's guaranteed Jack would be turned off by how Trowa is young enough to be his kid, and trowa doesn't seem the kind to jump onto seduction as a "make 'em trust and talk" thing, especially not with someone who saw him being disturbingly emotionless and competent.

Or, if you think you can make it work (despite the fact that it actually includes two fandoms you didn't list, though I think one of them maybe should have been on there anyway), Aeris/Goku/Link. Failing that, sub in almost anyone else for Link and it could still be interesting; I originally was going to pick Tsunade or possibly Karin, until it occurred to me that between the two of them Aeris and Goku have Wisdom and Power pretty much nailed down, so obviously the third one needs to be Courage.

...or, for maximum crack factor among the fandoms you did list, Mouri Kogoro/Peter Pettigrew/Willy the Snitch.

(Yes, at this point I'm just trying to see how ridiculously cracky a crack pairing I can come up with. I think I might have a hard time topping that one.)

Itachi has been with Akatsuki for two years when Sir Leader, disgruntled, cancels some of their missions to send Itachi and Kisame up North to follow up on a lead.

The lead turns out to be a man encased in ice. Apparently he fell from the sky. Itachi cares about that in an academic way, but less than he cares about how Pain seemed annoyed to have to divert his attention to this, and yet did it anyway, and that it means Akatsuki's secret leader Madara is curious about this guy. Hmm, how to sabotage that...

Well, neither of them has ice jutsu, not their fault if the guy thaws out en route.

Thing is, this is post-won-the-game sephiroth. who is kind of cracked. So the first thing he does upon waking is attempting to kill them. It's a good thing he doesn't have access to the Lifestream of this world, and has to rely on his own juice, a lot of which was spent to get him there. the following fight remodels the countryside but eventually Seph gets calm enough that he decides he ought to take the slightly longer way for conquest. Might as well accompany them and get explanations from their leader.

Itachi: well fuck. Oh well, they're welcome to each other. >/__\>

Thing is, sephiroth harnessed the power of the lifestream to go to space. and the lifestream is made of souls. the strongest are still there, working in his subconscious, pushing and tugging things when he's not paying attention. So eventually Itachi realizes Sephiroth is, mainly, two people (but sometimes when you catch him half-asleep he's more. others.) The main ones are genocidal megalomaniac sephiroth and arrogant but not pathologically so general sephiroth, and then there's brief flashes of not-sephiroth-at-all.

... this is very interesting, and it's in his best interest to make sure there isn't a second crazy psycho running around the ninja countries, so ... long philosophical discussions ensue. (good thing Itachi is used to undercover tightrope-walking acts, but even then it's the most delicate high-stakes thing he's ever done and he can feel it, and if he drops the ball he can feel how bad it's going to be.)

Good thing about the discussions and interaction is that it's pretty much attacking sephiroth's insanity from two sides. So progressively...

Anyway this would be a psychological epic, full of razor-sharp minds and delicate balancing acts, but eventually Sephiroth might come to terms with eating his own world and decide to side against Madara. ... it'd be hella difficult though, and even at the end it's more likely the best itachi can do is convince him to keep this world intact to use, since he can't drain it anyway and destroying it just because is pointless. Make him into someone who wants to protect the things he owns more than destroy them.)



I'm not sure which Goku you mean, there's DBZ!goku and Saiyuki!goku and... others, i think. XD; Also I vaguely know who Link is (green-wearing guy with a sword! ... i think he has a speshul horse, too) but that's not enough to plot for. I know nothing else about his 'verse save that Sheik Is Zelda, but that's like knowing that Soylent Green Is People.

... I don't know Willy the Snitch either. XD;; But hey, gave you seph/ita, please no more T^T

1) for a good long while Sephiroth is the one in charge of keeping watch so they're not found, and doesn't get close to the kids.

Then they're found, because Shinra would look WAY harder for their wayward General Sephiroth than for toddler-aged experiments.

Likely at least one of the children would be killed in the ensuing conflict, because there's no way two people can protect and carry off five toddlers at once during an assault. Likely that means Seph and Zack pull the kid gloves off and declare war on Shinra. Sephiroth being especially surprised to realize how devastated he feels over losing one of the kids.

2) SephZackCloudAeris has too many possibilities for me to settle on one favorite. Though i do like the pre-game Zack Introduces Them All idea.
The only Duo/Sasuke/Axel that comes to mind, alas, would be less Duo/Sasuke/Axel and more Odux/Aksuxes/Axel. Post-destruction of their worlds, their Nobodies are left behind. Axel is sent to convince them to join up OrgXIII. They're too independent to actually say yes, but the no-strings-attached convincing is half the fun. Alas being Nobodies it doesn't actually get any farther.

Also Sasuke's Nobody has black-blue skin and a long thick mane of white hair, and Duo's is black-haired and golden-eyed, and his hair is a short mess of hacked-off strands. *__*

I think i'd have to go the fusion route, because those two universes are really hard to cross overf. I could use the summons as breaching a hole between dimensions but DC has nothing TO summon there so the hole wouldn't even lead to the right place. As for Pandora, immortality would...

It's funny but the new girl with the shoulder-length black hair at Ran's dojo doesn't look half-gaijin, but there's no other explanation for those green eyes. Apart from contacts, maybe?

When they grapple and fall over on the tatami maybe she doesn't release Haruno-san as fast as she should, because she's too busy staring.

She hasn't been with Shinichi for years without some habits rubbing off. It doesn't look like contacts to her -- or else they're very good contacts. The color isn't even and unnatural-looking. There are gradations between the center's pale blueish-green and the outside ring's dark leaf-green, and wheel spokes that aren't shaped straight and manmade but natural like the branches of a tree.

Her eyelashes are burgundy.

"Um. Mouri-san?"

The girl is blushing and Ran realizes she's been pinning her down for much too long, and she sits back and laughs nervously and apologizes. For the next hour until the lesson ends she and Haruno-san sneak each other flustered little peaks. Not that Ran intended it as flirting, but at the same time perhaps she did, subconsciously, because there's been something fascinating to Haruno-san since the second she stepped in the dojo. The way she moves, how she balances herself -- even off the practice mats, in between bouts, her stance is perfect, ready.

Afterwards Haruno-san stares into her locker sightlessly for several long minutes before her brows firm and she closes it with a definite little thwack, and she turns to Ran. Even though she's blushing she goes to her anyway, and she says she's new to the area and would Ran mind showing her around?

Ran doesn't.

^^; The meme calls for my own fics, not the canon. I don't know DCMK well enough to even guess at repercussions, I only read that chapter once. As for Naruto, no idea, but Sandaime would have died earlier from poison and orochimaru and danzou would likely have torn the village apart between the two of them. It's a political mess between people I'm not especially thinking hard about. XD;

They meet while Kid is thieving around and she's ninjaing around and they have a BATTORU over the rooftops that includes smoke bombs and confettis, and kid finds her so delightfully enthusiastic he kisses her hand before disappearing and yuffie gets all flustered. She spends a week pretending she's not daydreaming about it at random intervals.

The first fic would go pretty much the same way. The sequels, though, would have to deal with the fact that Ran and Shinichi have most likely dealt with the "you were gone so long" and "even if it was for my own good you still lied to me and that hurts" issues and are already together. This would probably end up in a friendship between Kaito and Shinichi with alternate babysitting weekends for the kid...

AND THEN THEY GET INTO A THREESOME :D :D :D :D :D

Or, Conan having been Conan for seven years by now, Ran had moved on in the last year before he went back to normal (if he went back to normal too early likely black org would have tried to kill him and he wouldn't have been on the roof with Kid whether he had to hide or whether they did manage to off him). Ran angst and "omg i thought you were never coming back but you ARE back but i do love X too and it's unfair to him" means Shinichi isn't in a place where he wants to shack up with anyone for a good long while. He and Kaito are bitter bachelors together for a while and then shack up woohoo.

Anyway I don't know the first fandom or Exalted either. So.


Teamwork being shippuden compatible kinda implies that Sasuke has to be back home to get drunk with them, so it's likely post-canon, so Naruto is also likely well-loved by the villagers and on the fast track to hokageship. Also they're older so no "you're too young!!" issues.

There would be little issues about Naruto being potentially dangerous re: Kyuubi activity, and likely Sasuke is now trusted enough to go free, so long as Naruto is around, so there would be no freak out by village elders or teachers the next morning and no village escape, which means they'd skip all that to go straight into "shit let's pretend it never happened" because Sasuke has much stronger intimacy issues in canon than in Teamwork and between Naruto and Sakura there's the failfession.

Funnily enough I find the failfession easy to get over in threesomes because I can't help but feel Sakura already loves Naruto in a way, she just loves Sasuke more painfully and in a more traditionally romantic way -- but Sasuke is also someone she lost trust in, for a while, and she trusts Naruto with herself more; so if she doesn't have to actively choose there's much less angst. Of course we'd have to get her to the point where she realizes not choosing one over the other is an option at all. >___>

So she realizes that the hot yaoi action she saw was ttly not only because of naruto having beer goggles on, so she and naruto talk it out and decide to chase sasuke down and sit on him and talk things out. sasuke is a slippery bastard though.

... it would be an entirely different story, actually. apart from the element of sakura dealing with being pregnant, but i think post-war she'd also be okay with raising the kid on her own and while the boys would feel attracted to the idea of a family to belong to, there would be no immediate outside pressure to declare themselves a ménage à trois from the get-go.

They're not as startled by Naruto going YAYSEXTIEMS so they're more in control of the incident and not completely "i don't know wtf is going on but ohh it feels so nice @_@". ... instead they're just "i know exactly what's going on and not stopping it right there is such a bad ideeeeohgodyes. So. there's no blamification the next morning, and no (or not as much) kyuubi angst and baby-worry in the forest. ... I think that's about all that changes in the plot itself, though. XD; They might have started a little closer but it wouldn't change the actions...

2. 'fraid I don't like this ship very much ^^; I don't dislike it either but it doesn't ping me much at all. Sparring leads to rivalsex? I don't know, that's cliche but a cliche I like, so... hm. *ponders* sorry I can't figure out something better.

1. kyuubi decides to go visit Sasuke (he's under house arrest, sharingan sealed, awaiting trial. Naruto follows, alarmed but also somewhat happy because when he goes alone he's usually asked to please come back later and not bother. They barge in, hi there! and then naruto is all "er so i thought maybe you'd heard but in case you haven't. er. *mumblemumble*"
Sasuke: ... thefuck. >_é *squint* *... wait, i was supposed to pretend to be a block of ice around naruto so he... wouldn't... did you just break through the seal around my cell?*
Kyuubi: *satisfied prrt look, starts circling*
Naruto: ... *headwall* KYUUBI DAMN IT.
Kyuubi: *leeeans to nuzzle sasuke's neck*
naruto: *torn between DDDD: GAY and pure possessive jealousy* -- there'll be ANBU everywhere in like three seconds! You can't do that!

then there's stuff like kyuubi saying "you're mine" and sasuke replying "you're not my naruto" without thinking much about how it could be taken and naruto being all #.__.# ♥ and sakura expecting the ANBU to break in any second now and kyuubi growing every single wooden thing in the house back into a friggin' tree to make it an impenetrable foresty den.

team seven finally has that long discussion full of yelling about how of course sasuke is still ther teammate they're not gonna distance themselves from him for their own good fuck you very much srsly.

Kyuubi is mostly "yay den" because he doesn't care about all that yapping they're doing. XD of course when there's an emotional group hug he joins the action and quickly turns it into something else. XDDD

... hey, tripletsverse is totally a porn 'verse. Everything eventually leads to lemons. EVERYTHING.


2. Gaara heard about the bijuu trouble and comes to check on naruto and whether he can still be de'bijuued. kyuubi is kinda rrrrgh because he still smells a bit like shuukaku and that's annoying. Neck-biting ensues. Gaara sand-thwaps him. Woohoo fight tiems! naruto tries to stop them for all of ten minutes but after he realizes kyuubi isn't really trying to hurt him and gaara is methodically testing whether kyuubi could be a vulnerability for naruto, he relaxes and joins in.

Then, well, it's a porn 'verse.

Alas Angel doesn't, I never saw it and have very little clue as to how the characterization evolves. ^^; Working only with BtVS I can't figure out the Cordy/Buffy angle. Them both fighting over Angel I could see but that's not a favorite anything. DX
