narusasu / NarutoxSasuke from Naruto.

Favorite moments: At the moment it's awesomehot panel where they're meeting again for the first time in two years and Sasuke casually jumps in the middle of a bunch of people with unknown abilities just so he can sling an arm around Naruto's neck and whisper threats in his ear and be all "yeah, i can kill you easy and i WILL kill you easy and that's why i'm gonna babble about it for like ten minutes and ignore your openings even though later canon shows i have those shiny new jutsu and I could have easy". I loved the intimate gesture coupled with the threat (haha trying to be creepy? It felt like such an oro thing there, too bad Naruto liked it X3~) and the refusal to admit that they still had a bond at all, no really Sasuke had cut that bond, that's why he had to convince Naruto to back off instead of just ignoring him as someone who was now entirely irrelevant. XD Also loved how Naruto totally refused to be cowed in any way.

Though Valley of the End is a close second.

Sephiroth/Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7

Favorite moments: ... ALL OF THE GAME OKAY. It's pretty much all about the CloudSeph. Also, the movie, oh god such pretty hateporn. I love how in the game Seph was all "lalala all humans are disgusting worms to be crushed oh hey a random cloneguy who cares" and Cloud was all "you are the center of my life and also the PERSON THAT FUCKED IT ALL UP raaa sephiroth sephiroth sephiroth", and in the movie it's the other way around, Cloud started to move on and have a better life and Seph is the one all pissed off about that and clinging to his resentment of Cloud and going out of his way to make Cloud remember him, even if it's in really negative ways. And there's those really messed up shades of ownership/admiration/adoration. Though what makes it really bittersweet is how Cloud used to sincerely see Sephiroth as his own personal "i want to be like that man when I grow up" and then, well, bwahaha that cloning business. Careful what you wish for, kid! But anyway it's gorgeous thinking of all the missed/destroyed potential.

JetKo / JetxZuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender

Favorite moments:

The BETRAYAL, by which I mean Jet realizing that his awesome new buddy/soulmate person is an EVIL FIREBENDER. D:

Though really the whole ferry bit was awesome, and the whole fight at the tea house, too (jet you STALKER.) so basically all of their interaction is my favorite. XD

What I love most about this pairing is that sense of missed opportunities. No matter which way it went, it would have been INTENSE, man. (does jet not see Iroh firebend and keep trying to woo Zuko? does he see but the Dai Li lose him? Does he get caught, but saved at Lake Laogai? does zuko join the freedom fighters and gives up on his family? does jet make him into a criminal, does zuko make him into a nicer guy? does Jet get forced to deal with Zuko's... fire-ness?) What I love almost as much is that Jet is a ... bad person who tries to be good (and often fails XD) and Zuko is a good person who has his head so far up his ass that, well. XD It's fascinating how Jet is this glib, charming, charismatic asshole/fanatic who nevertheless tries to change his own life.

And then dies. D: waugh.

The pairing is full of the potential for massive hatesex -- the two characters have tempers, are active, explosive, and dominant, and then there's the fact that Jet is in the Earth resistance and Zuko is secretly the son of the invading Fire Lord, oh yeah and let's not forget that Jet tries to get Zuko arrested but in the end he's the one arrested and brainwashed and it will eventually end up with Jet dying, which uh, if he survived = major resentment; but that's not all there is, either: Jet appreciated/admired Zuko's mad ninja skills and wanted to befriend/own him (with jet is there a difference XD at any rate he seemed to take good care of his little band, which for a bunch of kids in a forest isn't exactly easy), Zuko might have made *gasp* a friend, when at that time he only had his uncle and was refusing to listen to him, Jet might have actually gotten to get over his (not entirely irrational) utter hate of the evil conquering Fire Nation and become a better person instead of just saying he wanted to...

Also, they both use dual swords. Come on, that's totally a sign. :3

1x2 / Heero Yuy x Duo Maxwell. *hangs head*
(ask me next week and it'll be Heero/Wufei instead. But on average I'm still more often 1x2 than 1x5.)

Favorite moments: The whole section with Heero stealing Deathscythe's parts. XD "It would take a miracle!" "A miracle for you, but I can handle it." And then Duo coming out of his room all half asleep in a tanktop and being all oh ffs he's still working nevermind, and then realizing the next day that of course this magnificent bastard managed the repairs! he fucking stole Deathscythe's parts for it. XD I have this whole headcanon about how Duo really admires the ballsiness, even as he's kinda pissed off. XD Dude, he was a thief, srs street cred there.

John Sheppard x Rodney McKay, from Stargate: Atlantis

Favorite moments: um. *guilt guilt* I've only ever watched the first episode. And read a shit-ton of fanfic. .__. So uh yeah.

They have an amazing dynamic, is all I can say. Maverick, somewhat snarky pilot type with authority issues and angsty past who ends up accidentally in charge of a whole expedition and supermegasnarky, hypochondriac genius who acs cowardly all the time but still manages to be incredibly brave when push comes to shove, and being friends and teammates and bouncing off each other in so many varied ways... Ngh. *__*

haha, maybe it helps that I haven't seen the show, because man but I can read just about anything in this fandom and so long as the interaction is interesting and the plot is good i am super happy, and I never get "but omg that's completely against canon!!" over the little details like I am with Naruto, which means I have not been able to read even one narusasu fic in a year or two. :/

Sephiroth/Zack/Cloud/Aeris from Final Fantasy 7.

They're all bound together by so many chains of what-if and parallels and missed chances and fate. There's Sephiroth growing up alone and emotionally remote and gregarious Zack bridging that distance, and then there's Zack doing the same for Cloud who was admiring Sephiroth from afar and being all young and alone, and then there's Aeris and Zack who fall in love but she also has that "I'm a cetra" "no, I AM a cetra, you're the cetra's greatest enemy 9___9" thing with Sephiroth if ingame and if pregame the muych loved fanon of "zack likes you and i like him so shut up and let me bake you cookies", and then with Cloud she could also fall in love and while likely starting from there it would grow into something totally removed from her bond with Zack... The possibilities are staggering and they all play real well off each other, both in duos and trios, so put them all as a foursome and it reaches epicness. So many possibilities.

1x2x5 AKA Heero Yuy/Duo Maxwell/Wufei Chang from Gundam Wing.

I like it better than 1x2 or 1x5 alone. 1x2 is growing too predictable/domestic in my head, and 1x5 too unstable (if super sexy XD), and I suppose 2x5 could also be really hot...
though my current headcanon is pretty much Garou!Heero and Duo deciding to invite Wufei in, it's not the only possible dynamic by far. XD They're the three most interesting pilots for me, so I like to throw them together for a ton of fun and varied potential results, most of them explosive. XD

Tsuna/his guardians from Katekyo Hitman Reborn (except Lambo and Ryouhei oh god) Possibly with Kyouko&Haru added in, because they're cool.

This is a harem situation for me, but what makes it really awesome is that not everyone is turned exclusively toward Tsuna -- they all have strong interpersonal bonds with at least two members of the group, if not more, which makes this a very shiny tangle to explore, and they're all bound by their common love/loyalty to Tsuna.

I also find it fun when Mukuro and Chrome have their side-harem of their own with Ken and Chikusa where Mukuro is king, even as Mukuro and Chrome belong to Tsuna's.

Rukia/Ichigo/Orihime from Bleach X333

Bwahahaha. My favorite thing about this is the girls' friendship. They're adorable and hilarious together, and I like how this is a MFF threesome where the girls totally top, even innocent!head in the clouds!orihime. Ichigo is just so not thinking of romance in the manga, and easily embarrassed about female nudity... >D

-Bulma/Vegeta/Goku from Dragon Ball Z -- as a Vee type, not a mutual three-way. Bulma/Goku doesn't work for me, but I can see them sharing Vegeta easy.

-Sora/Riku/Kairi from Kingdom Hearts. I have zero interest in any of the sub-pairings, or even in Sora on his own (I find him kinda annoying in the game, though in fic it's less grating), and Kairi underdeveloped, and Riku on his own doesn't interest me even though he really should because he's very much my type. He just... doesn't, somehow, not alone. But when it's the three of them, oooh. EAT THAT PAOPU FRUIT, GUYS~ ngh linked destinies.

-Merryshipping (One Piece: Luffy/Nami/Usopp/Sanji/Zoro. I also like it with Franky and Robin, though Chopper is too young and adorable to be allowed to join in on the sex shenanigans, and Brooke is... well, he's just bones. XD IDK, I don't see him joining in, maybe perving over the thought but... XD; he feels like he's older? not from their generation? He'd be like their pervert uncle. Pff.)

-Kaito Kid/Kudo Shinichi/Mouri Ran... tentatively. I like the *idea* of it, but I can never find good Ran characterization that 100% convinces me that she's as fully fleshed out as the boys. She COULD be, but in canon she's kept to some basic traits and since they're much less quirky than the boys' she's harder to make into a unique, interesting person.

-Dark Schneider/Kall Su/Arshes Nei/Tia Note Yoko/Princess Sheila from Bastard!!. Which, uh, actually is a pretty Dark Schneider!centric harem. ... the manga *is* a Dark-centric harem, so. XD I just added his devoted prettyboy apprentice/mage/rival in the cuddlepile. XD But I also like Yoko and Sheila's interaction (let's protect the sensitive, sheltered princess! even though i'm, uh, just as sheltered as she is! BUT I HAVE A TEMPER.) and Arshes/Kall Su ("damn you why does Darsh like you better than me" from both sides, bwahaha) and Arshes/Yoko ("... I am being replaced by a bratty CHILD. ... but it would hurt Darsh if she died so I'll protect her. Hrrrn.") Anyway, my guilty pleasure right there. .__.

On the Kaitou Kid/Kudo Shinichi/Mouri Ran trio: are you by any chance not already familiar with Three Thieves (http://threethieves.livejournal.com/)?

It's an epic, currently-ongoing MC/MK fic with exactly that "pair"ing, written as a collaboration between Ysabet and Nightengale, who both were among the best MC/MK authors I know of even before they got together; the characterization of Ran seems to be done quite well. Updates every Friday, with rare (and always announced) exceptions.

The Cloud/Sephiroth missed chances theme breaks my heart like a breaking thing. It's the sense of tragedy in it all that catches and holds my attention and makes me want to read fixit fic. Cloud waking up as Zack dies also fit in that theme.

Problems with Ran characterization hm. She is Badass, obviously. Shinichi has been officially gone for what, a few years now? She strikes me as the type to be pretending not to know Conan's true identity until he is willing to tell her. (A variant of Obfuscating Stupidity perhaps.) The show has Shinichi's dreams/desires eclipse hers, so maybe give her a goal besides seeing Shinichi again. Something surprising like a coroner, museum curator, airplane mechanic or an oceanographer?

Dark Schneider's harem is canon as far as I'm concerned, Kall Su included. *ponders* Been a while since I read that series . Scanlations cut off right about the middle of the series I think. Haha, be careful in your DS ponderings that you don't bunny yourself. *discretely pokes bunny thoughts with long, long stick*

Personal favorite pairing of mine: Peter Parker/MJ Watson/Harry Osborn. The third movie just sold me on it with the uh...everything. There were honest moments of caring and connection between all three of them in that movie. :D

It's canon that Ran keeps having passing thoughts of what if...? but always gets convinced that she was thinking stupid thoughts, though. I'd love to, but I can't make "already knows but is waiting for conan to tell her" jive with that. I tend to think more in the direction of karate champion, but that's not a career that lasts very long either. XD;;

French publication of Bastard!! is caught up to Japan, so I think i've seen more than anything I could find online already. Alas past the angel thing Kall and Nei don't have a big role. I am Sad.

Hmm. Ran could do all the business aspects when Shinichi finally opens his own detective service. It's hard to see them very far apart from each other, whatever direction they wind up taking in life.

The first two movies really helped buildup the relationships but I think the third Spiderman movie had all the OT3 shippyness. Or maybe I'm just twisted and have OT3 goggles. *grin*
