TEAMWORK WRITING MEME. >;(
Because I'm sick and tired of it being all lazy and floppy in its corner of my brain.
Plz give me teamworkverse prompts. By which I mean
-"what was X thinking/doing during scene Y?"
-X's POV on ... whatever
-a timestamp -- Ten years later, two days ago, ten minutes after the end of this scene
where X can be naruto, sasuke, sakura... or kakashi... or kiba or whoever else... or even one of the OCs.
-... yes it can be X-rated. #>____>#
I will not write about the T7 kids except in generic terms (apart from Aoru, the third one. She's not spoiler anymore. XD) I will not write about Itachi past Teamwork 4 because he is also spoiler. (is he dead? is he uncle itachi? did he take madara's eyes for himself and conquer konoha? NO ONE KNOWS.) I will not write spoilerific things in general. I'll tell you if a prompt lands in there so you can ask something else.
Anyway. Two prompts each maximum (please do not make seventeen and then ask me to pick two of them. DX ), and I make no promise they'll actually inspire me. I'll try my best to write at least one for everyone, but. Well. You guys know me by now. ~___~;
plz loev me. T^T
Sakura FINALLY gets married to Naruto. Sort of. (futurefic. WAY futurefic.)

You mentioned a while ago that eventually all of T7 were going to be married to one another (or something to that effect), with Sasuke having Naru!concubine, Naruto being gleefully pimp, etc.
What I would like to see is Tsunade's POV when her student carts her newly offical two hubby's home. (I think you were batting around an idea for a matriarchal Snow but I'm not entirely sure). If not then Sakura herself/the boy's as the tables are finally turned (if, that is Sakura is the last to bag the other two).
Hope that's got enough room to breathe. Make it as long or short, vanilla or smutty as you want. =^_^=
OH MY GOD THIS IS NOT A FICLET. part 1 of...3? 4?
+
Under the Rokudaime's rule Konoha extended its peaceful influence far afield, to countries she had never even heard of in her childhood, who most civilians her age had never heard of, too concerned with threats closer to home.
Tsunade might have been pushing seventy, but she was still strong and their country had so many allies, nothing much stopped her successor, her student, and that man they both called "husband" from wandering off -- Naruto to sign treaties, Sasuke to guard him, and Sakura... ah, an advisor, she called herself, but every time she came back Tsunade was waiting with tea heating up and a chuckle already building in her throat.
"Master!" Sakura said brightly when she walked in that afternoon, hair a bleached shade of rose, skin tanned dark and faint white lines at the corner of her eyes like she'd spent all that time in the sun glaring at something. She sat when Tsunade waved her toward her chair, grinning like she wanted to bite.
"So how did it go?"
"Do you remember how sad it was that I couldn't marry Naruto in Konoha without being Sasuke's widow first? Well, it turns out I had a lot of free time during this trip..."
In other words, her line of inquiry had been a big bust.
"So on the way back I got thinking about Konoha laws! It says something like 'until their first spouse has died,' doesn't it? But I bet it doesn't say anything about it being invalidated if said spouse was revived afterwards."
Tsunade smothered her laughter in her cup of tea. "I think Uchiha might object."
Sakura let out a long, fake sigh. "I think he might, too. Selfish of him, huhn. I knew I should have waited a little longer to fix him last time. Oh well, I'm sure there'll be other assassins."
+
The first time had been almost fifteen years ago, as Tsunade sent her chosen successor on his first solo diplomatic mission. Some lost valley in the mountains, well past the farthest reaches of Wind Country. Sakura had heard of their polyandrous habits and immediately -- blushing, but determined -- started campaigning to be allowed to go with. Their first and second children had been old enough to stay at their grandparents' for a couple of months then; Tsunade had given her permission and Team Seven had jauntily marched off.
When they came back Naruto was frowning, Sasuke so blank-faced it was a wonder he still bothered to breathe, and Sakura trailing her own metaphorical little raincloud.
It turned out their habit of marrying one woman to several men had been born from damaged reproductive abilities, due to being locked away in their same little valley for the last couple of centuries. The men allied in bands of three or four -- good -- and bartered, schemed, and fought others for possession of their women. And then, once "married", they locked them up so they wouldn't get knocked up by some other brotherhood. Which was so far past not good, Sakura had no words for it. She'd been livid all the way home.
"So... No marriage then?" Shizune had ventured.
Sakura had let loose a torrent of recriminations that boiled down to 'I would rather become a nun than support that mindset by getting married there', which was the end of it -- the end of mentioning that particular little trip, at least.
+
The next couple of countries had laws similar to those home, so there was no extra-curricular eloping. But the one after that was over the ocean, an ancient country, hot and lazily powerful, and while most of the leaders over there were kings, there were some queens and princesses who did more with the title than simply being the spouse of. And in deference to them, a woman could have more than one recognized, legally sanctioned lover.
There was this one last hurdle, though...
2/3!
"So the blond hunk is snipped, huh? A shame. He'd have made you strapping children."
A woman of high rank could have several legal, bonded lovers -- if all but one were eunuchs.
"... Oh, yes, I can see that you aren't. Haha, it would have been strange if the nominal leader was ... my apologies, I meant no insult. The pretty one then? I must have misunderstood, I thought you said he was your husband. Haha, how silly of me. I should have know, he does look a bit..."
They were pretty lucky to come back home without a new war on their hands, Sakura had to admit.
+
After that for ten years or so Naruto had duties closer to home, and then Sakura had Aoru-chan, and she stopped entertaining Tsunade with the tales of her grand quest to get hitched. She mostly busied herself with taking over the hospital and becoming Naruto's first in-village political advisor -- two full-time jobs on their own, even without "mother of three" on top.
There was that matrilineal clan over in Cloud Country, though, which rekindled that little flame in her eyes -- the tradition born of a female-carried bloodline. It required genetic diversity, and the women were the bottlenecks, hence several husbands each.
Alas, Sakura had no bloodline, so she was disqualified from the get-go.
"But if your husband can use that jutsu," the old woman leader conceded, grittiness briefly turning into something akin to religious awe, "then as a gesture of good faith and friendship between our people, and of thanks to Hokage Naruto-sama (may he have thirty daughters) we will allow Sasuke of the Uchiha to marry you both."
They went home with a new treaty, and they'd only asked to be taught the Sexy no Jutsu for it. Alas, Sasuke was a selfish bastard, and so Sakura still went home with only one husband.
+
When the travelers crossed the Elemental Countries, Naruto went to meet them, came back delighted -- if a little weirded out -- by their adherence to principles of peace, love, freedom, and tolerance.
Men could marry other men, women could marry other women, their cousins, their religious ministers, and their best friends' boyfriends. Oh, and outsiders not of their own ethnicity or country, too. There was no such thing as an outsider in their point of view, only a neighbor you hadn't yet met.
Naruto was made a honorary citizen of the City That Never Stops Drifting Because The World Is So Vast And We Ought To Know It All. Sakura was grinning from the second the garland of flowers was passed around his neck.
Problem being the High Priestess and the President In Chief also wanted the ability to marry Sakura's husbands.
There was such a thing as being too generous and selfless.
3/3!! :D
In all the upheavals that the Hokage and his teammates had introduced into the country in the last twenty years of rule, the abolishment of gendered language into Konoha's own laws passed almost unnoticed.
Three days later a petition to the Hokage for the right of the Haruno clan to an heir of their own landed on the Hokage's desk.
"I don't get it," said Naruto.
"It means my marriage contract to Sasuke meant any children born under its umbrella would be Uchihas, no matter who actually fathered them, but that's only if there's no other contract -- if the Harunos are recognized as a clan then as the Haruno heir I could have official concubines of my own."
"... Oooh. It'll work?"
Sakura beamed at him. "Unless you've pissed off the Kotaka recently..."
Later she barged in Tsunade's office, brandishing the stamp-covered paperwork, green eyes gleaming behind their little round glasses.
"FINALLY! Oh god, finally."
Tsunade squinted as she read, and then nodded, amused and a little proud that Sakura would have engineered a whole social revolution rather than let go of her goal. "I take it this is the end of our little tea sessions?"
"Oh, I'm sure I'll find more reasons to come visit you. Like, say..."
"Alright, what have you done now."
Sakura sat, trying badly to pretend to be annoyed. Her eyes were still bright, still so fierce and so young. "Oh, it's Naruto, you know how he is..."
"Don't stall."
"Well, he asked me if that meant our next children would be named Haruno. And, well, yes, that's exactly what it means, except for a small, niggling detail -- menopause."
"Which would be grounds for refusal of your request by the Council," Tsunade pointed out, only because she could see Sakura coming from a mile away.
Sakura grimaced at her. "They've got enough grounds for that anyway -- It's mostly just silly legalese and twisty loopholes, but I'm pretty sure the Council will approve it just so their Hokage stops flaunting the fact that he's someone's side dish. They're going to give this shiny bit of polite fiction the go-ahead because it's the most respectable they'll ever make Naruto look. BUT ANYWAY," she said, forging ahead.
"Yes?" Tsunade asked, as if she didn't know where her student of twenty years was going.
"Well. Naruto and Sasuke miss having kids. Young ones, I mean. They're all grown and out of the house now..."
Tsunade took a sip of tea, noncommittal. "I'm sure."
"... Masteeeeeer."
Tsunade relented, eyes laughing, though her face kept looking stern. "I might have some ideas of how to get around that little menopause problem, if you can find the funds for the necessary research at the hospital..."
Sakura beamed at her. "Great! I have a lot of those, too."
She looked down at the official decree, caressed the red stamps. Tsunade could see it on her face -- the silly 'official' approval that shouldn't have meant half as much as it ended up meaning for the balance of her relationship.
Naruto and Sasuke's concubine/husband bond wasn't even legal in Fire Country, yet how it had galled at her to leave things undone -- done only twice. How much she had needed to correct that last imbalance, to bridge that last divide.
Then she looked up, and she smiled that bright, harsh smile that meant there were still heights to be conquered.
"While we're pioneering new medical jutsu, what do you say about making a child with two fathers? I was thinking, if we emptied an ovum and then merged two sperm cells..."

Itachi Finds Out 1/2
"So the brat got laid. Do we give a shit?" Deidara asked.
Pain stared at him for a second and said, "not at the moment. In case we lose the Kyuubi host untimely, though, it might work as a back-up plan. Jinchuuriki descendents sometimes inherit similarly-sized chakra reserves, as some of us demonstrate."
Everyone looked at Kisame, who laughed quietly and inclined his head, as if to say, 'you got me,' and pretended not to see the flashing calculation in Kakuzu and Sasori's eyes -- 'ahh, so here's the first backup plan'. Itachi had of course figured that a long time ago. Kisame liked high stakes, so the reminder only prompted him to give a second chuckle. Deidara and Hidan totally missed it.
Itachi nodded slowly, and filed away the information. It would take the child years -- ten or fifteen -- to reach jinchuuriki levels, if it had the potential in the first place... which was very unlikely to happen, or no matter how hated the jinchuuriki were the villages would have set up breeding systems long ago. And even then, Itachi severely doubted it would be a match for the Kyuubi, the most powerful of the tailed beasts. Akatsuki's plans needed a Kyuubi, not a second Rokubi.
It was more likely he'd be long dead before any of this became relevant. The intelligence report went on, that tidbit soon forgotten.
+
Itachi found out that Madara's information had been wrong when he advanced on the girl -- Haruno Sakura, who would have been so happily ordinary if an unlucky fate hadn't thrown her in his brother's and Uzumaki Naruto's team, and from there on into Naruto-kun's bed.
Only then Sasuke threw himself on her and it wasn't merely the duty of protecting your teammates to the bitter end.
He'd seen that same look so many times, in similar eyes, that look of "I'm going to die but gods and ancestors, I beg you, do not let me die in vain." Terror and determination so deep, so mingled they became one single feeling. Do not let me die in vain, let something of me survive, let my life buy at least this.
(But he couldn't kill Sasuke just like he had killed all those people who'd ever looked at him that way. Sasuke had to live. Sasuke had to live.)
He only had two blood relatives left in the world, Madara and Sasuke, Sasuke and Madara, two extremes, two ends of his line. It had to be that way.
Soon he would have three. Then what?
Later Kisame told him he'd been too cautious, bailing when he had, aborting their mission (the faint chance that the child might work as a backup sacrifice wasn't worth it, when it came with a pipeline that might siphon away all the chakra they needed to use.) He mocked him in that gentle, respectful tone, 'how about kicking him off and then stabbing, Itachi-san?' but Itachi didn't answer anything.
He had no answer to give yet.
2/2
Itachi found out that (Madara might not have been wrong after all) (Sasuke might have been bound by more chains that matrimony and fatherhood after all) he didn't know anything for sure anymore, on the night Sasuke and his bride exchanged their vows.
He was perched, in the dark, on the wall of the compound -- keeping watch with his back turned to the wall; one night of peace, my wedding gift to you, little brother -- when someone slipped out of the nuptial suite.
His brother. Leaving his bride alone.
Only to return, later on, towing along the Kyuubi child. Naruto. Towing him to the wall and up to the window and through to where his brand-new wife waited.
Oh.
He didn't move. He didn't leave, or turn around and come closer, or do anything but keep watch. That was his gift, and Sasuke didn't know he was giving it but that didn't mean Itachi got to take it back. His only gift. Because Sasuke must have known Itachi wouldn't hand him the life of the Jinchuuriki, or the life of the girl at the end of the pipeline, Sasuke surely didn't count on it, surely knew what would happen at the end of that road.
His little brother had always been foolish.
(He'd always loved Itachi first. Before.)
He waited until dawn, and then he left.
(Nothing had truly changed, anyway. Nothing that mattered.)

Not sure if this is spoilerish or not, but...
Sakura's, Sasuke's, and Naruto's thoughts the first time one of their kids graduates from the Academy and gets made a Genin.
If that's too spoilerish:
Cooking arrangements. How the hell do they all agree on who makes what for dinner each night?
[/delurk]
Cooking arrangements
(oh my god i wrote something that's actually ficlet-sized!! *amazement ensues*)
--
Sasuke cooks easy things, things for everyday. Rice and fish, miso soup. Salad. Pasta. Sakura cooks fancier things, during the weekend or sometimes in the evenings and Sasuke is more tired than she is (depending on how much free time Tsunade leaves her, then.) When they have the time, and the ingredients.
They don't cook together; they don't have the same style, and Sasuke keeps wanting to correct Sakura's grip on the knife and Sakura keeps re-spicing Sasuke's pans.
Naruto doesn't cook. He cleans instead. Also, he taste-testes for Sakura. (Sasuke has broken three wooden spoons on his head so far.)
They allow him his one bowl of ramen per meal. Otherwise they make him eat all meals with them. It's okay though, his metabolism has always run much faster than either of theirs, and the food is never wasted.
When Sakura has a craving all the rules and habits go out of the window, save one, 'I want it right now.'

What were Team Summons up to, say, last year?
Yakitaro in five years *loevs*
There are whispers in the back anyway. They've long since chased the children out -- apart from Yakitaro who stayed, who at eighteen is no child anymore, and apart from the nursing newborn on his mother's breast, who doesn't get that they're discussing her future.
Men'you, she was named, because right from the womb she had curls like a sheep. She's adorable.
She's just young enough for the transfer to happen painlessly, and their father says "there's no one else, anyway" in a way that means there were others but they didn't need the money as much. In a way that means 'don't judge me (I'm already judging myself enough for all of us.)'
So then Yakitaro nods slowly, and he steps forward, and he crouches in front of his baby sister. They'll treat her well in the village, of course, it doesn't pay to treat them badly.
He smiles at her. She smiles back -- at this age it's likely gas, not communication, but it's still adorable.
Roushi is reaching the end of his life, and when he goes, they will need someone to transfer his demon into.
"Right," he says, and tickles the future Four-Tailed jinchuuriki's soft little cheek. "I'm coming with you."

I know writing Gaara tends to be a mood thing for you, but if he's willing... Gaara's view on Temari's thing with Shika/Ino. At any stage of "the thing".
Gaara on TemaShikaIno, sort of. XD
--
"I'm going to kill that Konoha bastard."
Kankuro slammed the door of Gaara's office closed behind him and immediately kicked it. he then started pacing around the office.
A pen in hand, Gaara watched him stomp around, waiting patiently for when his brother decided to come off his fit of irrational rage and make sense once again. It only took him two minutes of semi-incoherent bitching to determine that Kankuro wasn't about to provide a background, not left to his own device.
"Kankuro."
Interesting how a mere word could bring him to a stop, body and inner turmoil both. Gaara hadn't even bothered adding emotional content to it.
"Konoha bastard?"
"That fucker Shikamaru!"
Huh. Last Gaara had heard, Kankuro cautiously approved of him. He did call him a cagey bastard, but in a tone that Gaara had interpreted as mostly admiring. "... Why?"
"He's cheating on Temari, is why!"
Kankuro devolved into incoherent imprecations and somber threats once again. Gaara's brow furrowed.
"Cheating. ... Not money, you mean. Sexually?"
"That goatfucker and his bimbo teamma -- uh. Er. ... Yeah."
Gaara's brow furrowed some more, in between quizzical and annoyed. Perhaps it was another of those self evident things that all normal human beings just instinctively got. Perhaps it was Kankuro being irrational again. Gaara accepted that he was significantly off from the average, but he wasn't the only one in the family who was weird.
"Let me get this straight." A pause, weighing his words. "That man wronged Temari."
"He gets it! YES."
Gaara stared back stonily. "That man wronged Temari. And you'd go and steal her kill?"
Kankuro stopped mid-rant. Stared at him. Closed his mouth.
"... Oh. Huh. Okay. Yes. Seen like that."

And if that doesn't work, Kyuubi telling Naruto about Kushina.
no subject
I tried to write your second prompt because eeee Kushina, but it kept not working, and I finally realized/remembered why. XD; My Teamwork!Kyuubi background is basically that Naruto was his first and only host, that he'd never been vainquished/sealed before Minato finally bagged him and that Minato is therefore one of the only humans he ever noticed. So I see no reason for Naruto's mom to be anyone but Kushina, but she's an AU Kushina who was never the Kyuubi host and he has no reason to remember her at all.
(I also recently remembered that there's no Madara in Teamworkverse because I came up with most of the background around the time of the Timeskip, and so there's no "the uchihas can and always could control kyuubi" either. I was kinda D: when Kyuubi was revealed to be useable as a summon, to be honest, because I had plot planned that did just that and it was stealing my thunder. XD ... anyway it means i'll have to rewrite the Itachi ficlet too. Mergh. why can i never keep my own background in mind! XD; )

in the spirit of me loving 3 POV about the main characters actions:
1. future!fic where in which Naruto is already the Hokage and foreign digitaries visit Konoha - and suddenly have to deal with the unusual personal situation of the leader of an influential village
2. Kunoichi team POV reactions/conversation/interaction about the Konoha team and what the hell is going on there^^
I hope you had a wonderful christmas time :)

as for the house stuff, HMM it's kind of spoilery how it happens but i'll try to figure out a ficlet anyway. I should have been figuring this out in more details already, the old bunny I had way back wouldn't really fit anymore with how the plot evolved through actually writing it all out. Hmmmmmmmmm. >__>
