Because I'm sick and tired of it being all lazy and floppy in its corner of my brain.

Plz give me teamworkverse prompts. By which I mean
-"what was X thinking/doing during scene Y?"

-a timestamp -- Ten years later, two days ago, ten minutes after the end of this scene
where X can be naruto, sasuke, sakura... or kakashi... or kiba or whoever else... or even one of the OCs.

I will not write about the T7 kids except in generic terms (apart from Aoru, the third one. She's not spoiler anymore. XD) I will not write about Itachi past Teamwork 4 because he is also spoiler. (is he dead? is he uncle itachi? did he take madara's eyes for himself and conquer konoha? NO ONE KNOWS.) I will not write spoilerific things in general. I'll tell you if a prompt lands in there so you can ask something else.

Anyway. Two prompts each maximum (please do not make seventeen and then ask me to pick two of them. DX ), and I make no promise they'll actually inspire me. I'll try my best to write at least one for everyone, but. Well. You guys know me by now. ~___~;

Sakura seemed to give up her little crusade after that. Tsunade watched with some amusement as she redirected her energies toward other pursuits -- putting medic-nins into each team, Tsunade's old crusade, creating cross-country information lines about epidemics and their vaccines and treatments, nudging forward the equality of sexes...

In all the upheavals that the Hokage and his teammates had introduced into the country in the last twenty years of rule, the abolishment of gendered language into Konoha's own laws passed almost unnoticed.

Three days later a petition to the Hokage for the right of the Haruno clan to an heir of their own landed on the Hokage's desk.

"I don't get it," said Naruto.

"It means my marriage contract to Sasuke meant any children born under its umbrella would be Uchihas, no matter who actually fathered them, but that's only if there's no other contract -- if the Harunos are recognized as a clan then as the Haruno heir I could have official concubines of my own."

"... Oooh. It'll work?"

Sakura beamed at him. "Unless you've pissed off the Kotaka recently..."

Later she barged in Tsunade's office, brandishing the stamp-covered paperwork, green eyes gleaming behind their little round glasses.

"FINALLY! Oh god, finally."

Tsunade squinted as she read, and then nodded, amused and a little proud that Sakura would have engineered a whole social revolution rather than let go of her goal. "I take it this is the end of our little tea sessions?"

"Oh, I'm sure I'll find more reasons to come visit you. Like, say..."

"Alright, what have you done now."

Sakura sat, trying badly to pretend to be annoyed. Her eyes were still bright, still so fierce and so young. "Oh, it's Naruto, you know how he is..."

"Don't stall."

"Well, he asked me if that meant our next children would be named Haruno. And, well, yes, that's exactly what it means, except for a small, niggling detail -- menopause."

"Which would be grounds for refusal of your request by the Council," Tsunade pointed out, only because she could see Sakura coming from a mile away.

Sakura grimaced at her. "They've got enough grounds for that anyway -- It's mostly just silly legalese and twisty loopholes, but I'm pretty sure the Council will approve it just so their Hokage stops flaunting the fact that he's someone's side dish. They're going to give this shiny bit of polite fiction the go-ahead because it's the most respectable they'll ever make Naruto look. BUT ANYWAY," she said, forging ahead.

"Yes?" Tsunade asked, as if she didn't know where her student of twenty years was going.

"Well. Naruto and Sasuke miss having kids. Young ones, I mean. They're all grown and out of the house now..."

Tsunade took a sip of tea, noncommittal. "I'm sure."

"... Masteeeeeer."

Tsunade relented, eyes laughing, though her face kept looking stern. "I might have some ideas of how to get around that little menopause problem, if you can find the funds for the necessary research at the hospital..."

Sakura beamed at her. "Great! I have a lot of those, too."

She looked down at the official decree, caressed the red stamps. Tsunade could see it on her face -- the silly 'official' approval that shouldn't have meant half as much as it ended up meaning for the balance of her relationship.

Naruto and Sasuke's concubine/husband bond wasn't even legal in Fire Country, yet how it had galled at her to leave things undone -- done only twice. How much she had needed to correct that last imbalance, to bridge that last divide.

Then she looked up, and she smiled that bright, harsh smile that meant there were still heights to be conquered.

"While we're pioneering new medical jutsu, what do you say about making a child with two fathers? I was thinking, if we emptied an ovum and then merged two sperm cells..."

I loved that you didn't just wrap it all up on the first go- that it dragged on for years of T7 trying to find others that suited their life style before they realised they just needed to REWRITE THE RULES TO SUIT THEMSELVES. >:)

And Tsunade, sitting chortling on the sidelines was done very well- they say work and intrigue is what keeps old biddies on their toes. *twirls*

And rewriting medical history to have some more kids and does this mean a 3-way DNA child is canon now COS ITS MAH HEAD CANON NAOW~! :DDD

Alas, emptying the ovum means it doesn't have any DNA left to transmit, mostly just using the structure. That kid is going to be pure Naruto/Sasuke. Though I think if anyone can, ninjas could manage to merge two sperm cells together, but then the kid would be half Sakura and one fourth each Naruto and Sasuke... hmm.

I'm already totally planning the kid's name and looks and personality. XD;; ... I think Yukito, because by then his grandfather Yukihiro would have died so they'd name him after Yukihiro, and perhaps after Minato too... hee.

... should I make him a twin sister? >__> pros: it'd be deliberate, because two kids are better than one. Cons, it's a little cliche and i have no personality ideas for her. Hmmmm.

You could make the other twin a reference to Kushina~ *dangles idea in front of you* :DDD

Eeeeeee, biology goes completely out the window but I hated that subject anyway *blows raspberry at impossible human genetics* Hmm, one half Sakura, a quarter Sasuke and Naruto a piece... Probably get blue/green eyes, Naruto being dominant there from both his parents and green eyes have a similar strain... strawberry blonde/ash blonde hair? Wow, Sasuke's genes get a slap there, even though black's dominant, probably not if there's TWO other parents DNA butting in. Baby might not even get the sharingan. The only thing left would be the duck butt legacy and the monosylabble grunting... >_>

As for the cliche twin thing- DO IT~ If anyone can pull it off it's you (OBVIOUS COMPLIMENT IS OBVIOUS) besides it makes sense that Sakura would make the most of it while she could if she was going through menopause. Lots of mothers do it in China to get round the one child clause and none of those mothers are ninjaaaa... Not sue of the exact science of it but if we cn do it then shinobi certainly can.

As for names? Yukiko and Yukito? Oh gawd, can you imagine the comfusion? *bounces in fic induced happy hyper*

I'm not a bio major, but the structure of the ovum that would need to remain would include the mitochondria, yes? thus, the mitochonrdial DNA, Sakura's DNA, would remain even if the nucleus was entirely Naruto+Sasuke (which I'm not sure is possible, but hey, it's fic)

XD; yeah, it would. I just don't understand it well enough. What kind of impact would it have?

Nothing, really. Nuclear DNA trumps mitochondrial DNA in almost everything (except in mitochondrial disorders, of which there aren't that many). What mitochondrial DNA is good for is tracing heritage/evolutionary relationships.
