white_knuckle's fault. There I was, re-reading her old memes, and that one jumped at me and smacked me in the face.

Give me a pairing (or threesome if you insist) and a prompt (mood, place, object, etcetera). I'll write you something about their kid(s).

Fandoms: Naruto, GW, FF7, DBZ. Possible future kids in existing fic-verses allowed, except for Teamwork's first two Team 7 kids. 'cause, well, spoiler. No real objection to writing several times about the same kid either, so long as my imagination doesn't stall on it.

caveats:
-I make no promise to actually write them, though I do promise I'll try. My inspiration is a fickle, contrary thing in the first place and when I try to force it I get writer's block instead.
-I really suck at poetic/abstract prompts.
-If you give me a slash pairing but don't want/like mpreg, say so. It's not my default kid-giving choice, but still one of them.

Heero nudged his glasses down and massaged the bridge of his nose. Sometimes those two were such a pain -- wait a minute. Since when did Ben date? He was --

He was thirteen.

"Ben!" he called out, as the footsteps in the corridor had almost reached the end. "Did Duo get around to telling you about safe se--"

"DAAAAAAAAD!" came the anguished reply. "OH GOD, SHUT UP yes he did and never speak of this again."

"... oh. Good." He sat back down, still reeling.

Well. Dating and having sex were different things. But if he was old enough for one, he was old enough for the other. ... it just seemed so wrong that he would be old enough for either one.

Shawn propped himself up on the desk and peered up at him. "Se ... x?" The brat perked up, giggling in his hand. "Safe sex? What's that? I know safe driving is with belts, but--"

Heero blinked, and bit down on a burst of laughter he would have had a very hard time explaining. " ... No, that's... a little more advanced."

Feeling mocked anyway, Shawn scowled. "What is it then?"

"Safe from diseases and accidental babies," Heero replied, and wondered why it was so much simpler and less embarrassing to explain to Shawn, when he'd had to delegate Ben to Duo because apparently he and Ben delving on the topic would be the end of the world. "A teenager might be old enough to have sex, but they're not old enough to be a good parent."

"... Ooooh." A pause. "That's boring."

"Glad to hear it," Heero muttered.

Ben came back, and if Heero had doubted Shawn's intel before then, he didn't anymore. For the first time in his life Ben's hair was actually combed, and his jacket ... well, Heero didn't know much about modern fashion, but he still remembered that price tag. "Well then, I'm goi-- why are you laughing, shrimp."

"No reason," Heero retorted before Shawn could. "Have fun. Until eleven."

Ben gave a little smile and a "yeah, yeah, thanks Dad" and with a little wave he left.

"And don't come back with a baby!" Shawn yelled after him, eyes gleaming with evil mirth.

Heero sighed and tried not to understand the garbled words in the scream of embarrassment and rage Ben sent right back. He just hoped that by the time Shawn reached puberty Ben would be well over his own. Oh, and he was making Duo deal with it when when Shawn finally got around to ask about bondage.

Yessssss! Straightforward parent!Heero for. The. Win. I love how he is such a good dad, too. Ben's reaction to the safe sex line was priceless, probably because it's such a typical teenager reaction.

Is Heero assuming Duo knew about the whole dating thing before him? Or is he just the designated person to do that?

I was surprised by Shawn's appearance. For some reason I assumed Ben would be an only child forever, but their relationship is obviously well settled. Why did they decide to adopt another kid? Sorry, I don't mean to spawn any more fics (as much as I want to). Love this universe in the little tidbits you've given us, thanks!

Heero isn't really in touch with Ben's emotional life, or with normal sexuality in the first place. He was more or less asexual/refocusing his energies elsewhere for the greatest part of his adolescence. XD He figures Duo would be more aware, and also he's the one in charge of giving The Talk. Ben just gets embarrassed talking with him about silly everyday stuff, because he feels a little like that's too trivial for Heero to really get and he'd always be wondering in a corner of his brain why Ben is making mountains out of molehills, at your age i was risking my life everyday and stopping a war! Uphill! In the snow! Of course Heero doesn't really think like that but Ben idealizes him a little so he doesn't want to look silly or childlike around him. Whereas with Duo he's more down to earth and buddies.

Shawn was a surprise for everyone! Duo just kinda met him as a toddler at one of his friends' who was fostering and fell in love, and then he went home and he was all "hey mind if we get a second kid". Then Heero was all "yeah but with our jobs it's kinda hard" and then duo went "well then i'll just have to quit", so then heero gave in because whoa srs decision there. XD (neither of them really quit, but now duo is an instructor and heero does data analysis and they both give seminars on stuff here and there. too old for field work! and also with the kids field work is too much of a risk anyway)
