I have such poor impulse control. But nevermind. It's

white_knuckle's fault. There I was, re-reading her old memes, and that one jumped at me and smacked me in the face.

Give me a pairing (or threesome if you insist) and a prompt (mood, place, object, etcetera). I'll write you something about their kid(s).

Fandoms: Naruto, GW, FF7, DBZ. Possible future kids in existing fic-verses allowed, except for Teamwork's first two Team 7 kids. 'cause, well, spoiler. No real objection to writing several times about the same kid either, so long as my imagination doesn't stall on it.

caveats:
-I make no promise to actually write them, though I do promise I'll try. My inspiration is a fickle, contrary thing in the first place and when I try to force it I get writer's block instead.
-I really suck at poetic/abstract prompts.
-If you give me a slash pairing but don't want/like mpreg, say so. It's not my default kid-giving choice, but still one of them.

As Mizukage and Hokage, their interaction had always been ... special. The Daimyos and the other Kages seemed to assume that, being two women, they would naturally agree on everything.

Terumii Mei might have been more progressive than her predecessor, but that didn't mean much, coming from a Mist Nin. It amused Tsunade that the younger of the two might also be the one most entrenched in her village's traditions, even as she professed to wanting change. Then again, the Mizukage ought to represent the views of her village and not only her own.

As long as Tsunade was Godaime Hokage, that was their relationship -- cool sympathy born of shared irritation over the idiot men who still thought they had managed to get where they were and stay there without a greater amount of ruthlessness than they, manly he-men that they were, and sharp awareness of, and respect for, that same ruthlessness in each other. They were both kunoichi, after all; being underestimated might be one of the cards they'd been dealt but it didn't mean they had to commit the same mistake as their male peers.

Not that they interacted often, and most definitely never in private.

It changed when Tsunade designated Naruto as her successor, because after the first year he needed some space, for people to get used to going to him and not to her. Also so that he'd stop shoving his paperwork at her, damn it.

Mist was the village the other allied countries had the most bad blood with. Obviously it was the one that would do best with a semi-permanent ambassador.

Hosting a previous Kage as such was both a threat, and a mark of deep respect. The Mizukage was a fine appreciator of both.

Their friendship was a strange thing -- not only because both knew that behind the shared understanding and feminine solidarity there was a knife waiting, just in case, even while they laughed. They looked the same age, but Tsunade was over twenty years older than Mei. She could have been her mother, except that Tsunade had never been anyone's mother. After Dan had died she hadn't wanted to carry anyone else's children.

"I'm the other way around," said Mei one day when they were drinking. "I want children -- and I ought to continue my bloodline, anyway; it's a husband I just don't want."

Neither one was drunk enough that the slip of confidential info was accidental. It was an opening, carefully calculated.

So was Mei's long, considering side look to the line of Tsunade's throat, the prelude to a dance of seduction Tsunade had never been on that side of.

It made her laugh.

"You'll have to carry it," she said, cutting straight to the chase. "Menopause, you know."

Mei chuckled low in her throat, painted lips curling. "Amusing, that a healer of your caliber could do away with the need for a male, and yet..."

"And yet," Tsunade agreed, though she might have managed to work past that, if she'd wanted. She thought Mei would like it, flaunting her unmarried pregnancy in her advisors' faces, because even in the stricter Mist society, who could say to her face that another Kage was too low-caste, a misalliance? "It'll be a girl."

"That's fine with me."

The conception itself needed a laboratory, not a bed and satin sheets, but Tsunade allowed Mei to lead her to hers anyway.

It wasn't anything like being with Dan, and so she could let herself like it.

Terumii Keina was born two weeks early -- the stress of cutting a swath through the remnants of Madara's old guard. Tsunade didn't intervene in Mist's internal affairs, but she was at Mei's bedside when the assassins came, and in between an eyeroll and a diagnosis jutsu she found some time to slam a few of them through the hospital walls, which left a lot of holes for Keina's first scream to ring through.

Even born a little early, Keina was a beautiful, healthy, stubborn baby.

She didn't feel like Keina's mother. She felt more like an aunt. Keina was Water Country first, and Tsunade had designed her genes to carry the bloodline limits of her mother, which would never be allowed to belong to another village.

She'd gone very far for Dan's niece, though. She could hardly do less for her own. She'd have to stay, of course. To remind the child that Konoha was also family.

Sorry, she doesn't have enough of a personality/skillset/background for me to play with her offspring, I'd have to make up way too many things. .__.;

The sun was rising pale and bright over the red stone of the Cosmo Mountains when the first of them woke. Zack parked the buggy on the side of the bush track, and sat there breathing in and out, trying not to have a panic attack.

He'd been cool-headed when he broke them out, when he sneaked them out of Midgar, when he smuggled them on the ferry to Costa del Sol. Heard a little hand patting the walls of the crate it was in, and suddenly he wasn't.

Wasn't too late to turn around and take the fork that would bring him to Gongaga. Would take him, what, four hours? At most.

But likely the Turks were already lying in wait by his house, and the only thing that might still save his parents would be total radio silence. They couldn't be used as bait or leverage if Zack couldn't be told they were being used. Better pretend to be long estranged.

Tiny fingers were now tapping against the planks, a slow, curious rhythm. Zack told himself to man up and climbed out of the cabin.

The crate took up the back of the buggy, but even then it didn't look big once stuffed with five slumbering toddlers. Zack had taken off the lid as soon as possible so the kids would have air, and tied a fishing net all around to make sure none of them crawled out. Kegarr's kid had his fingers in the holes, poking them through the holes and wriggling.

He had Kegarr's glowing purple irises and Sephiroth's pupils, adding to the dramatic contrast of his milk-coffee skin and tight silver curls. "You're going to be a heartbreaker" slipped out of Zack's mouth before anything else. The kid stared at him, unblinking.

"... Hey there," Zack said, coming up to the crate, and rested his fingers on the edge. There was no reaction. It really sucked that Zack had had to torch the files; making sure the doctors didn't reproduce their experiment came first and there had been no time to get more medical info beforehand. He was sure (almost sure) that a normal kid at this stage of development should be talking.

Wasn't sure what they'd say, though.

He started to unknot the net. "You hungry? Thirsty? Need to pee?"

The other kids were still asleep. He swung his arm over the edge of the crate and down, to feel their faces. No fever, and they were even all breathing. Great. He turned to Kegarr's kid and slipped his hands under his armpits to lift him up. It was like lifting a sack of potatoes. No healthy toddler Zack had ever known was so limp and complacent when handled.

None had that bone density, either. "Man, it's a good thing I'm augmented," he said, sitting the kid on his hip so he could free a hand to re-tie the net properly. "... Aw, shit, not that I'm saying you're fat. I hope I'm not screwing up your whole development."

The kid kept watching him, expressionless.

"... Alright then. What am I gonna do with you..."

It was then that he felt his answer, right there against his hip. Apparently, living in mako tubes as they were, there had been no need for the kids to be potty-trained.

Somehow, he muddled through, manhandling the kid out of the Cadet-sized shirt he'd stuffed him into back in Midgar, washing his legs, drying them, and manhandling him back into one of Zack's own turtleneck tops, which fell way past the poor kid's knees. He even managed to convince him to drink from the bottle and not choke, which was an unexpected success considering how responsive the kid was.

And then, oh, hell, it was warm so far south, and there was no one around to say anything about him driving in his underpants anyway. The soiled clothes went in a plastic bag. The kid went in the passenger seat. Zack buckled him in, chattering about he didn't even know what, and started the buggy again. He remembered a little creek, a slow, sun-warmed one, a few miles thataway. He was gonna need it. Guarantee he'd have to wash the rest of the brood too.

What he really needed was to stop thinking of him as Kegarr's kid. (or Sephiroth's kid, somewhere deep inside.) Because he wasn't. And he wasn't Doctor Kanzaki's Experiment number SX-what-the-fuck-ever, either. He was Zack's now.

"River's too girly. Also hello, the naming story -- yeah, so you peed on me and I had to wash you so I named you after the first body of water we came across."

The kid was staring at him again. Zack grinned.

"Rain's even more girly, and also cliché. Rune? Rune Fair. Hm. Naw. You don't strike me as a mystical sort of guy. Mikael? Danny? Gabriel?"

"Nrrr. Nh. Ah."

Zack blinked, slowing down the car so he could take a longer look than just a quick side glance. The expressionless little face had gone tense, expectant. Zack knew it was more likely to be due to the unexpected difficulty of making sounds, or perhaps a bowel movement, but... heh.

He rested his hand on silver curls, comforting, and said, "Alright. Gabe it is."

sorry, that's not going to work either. I have no headcanon for either of them.

- Zack is all business until the littles are awake and he has to deal with tiny people instead of a plan.

- First thought after imagining that kid as an adult was "Drow!" only not really because silver is not white and his skin would be too light but that's not the point and Zack is right about the likelihood of heartbreak.

- "... Aw, shit, not that I'm saying you're fat. I hope I'm not screwing up your whole development." (Bwahahaha!)

- XDDD, Zack riding around in his undies! Does he still have his boots on? I'm just trying to wrap my mind around the mental image of him having to stop and fight anything without pants on. It's hard to take a man seriously without trousers.

- Yeah! Zack taking possessive responsibility for the tiny, it is good. Might be healthier for him not to, but they'd still be in a lab if he could keep his heart out of things.

- Name game is cute.

- Eee, Gabriel! Name them all after angels and it'll be interesting if/when they all start sprouting wings.

Also, this whole thing bears an eerie resemblance to Zack's trek from Nibelheim with Cloud so I'm pretty glad they're heading away from a certain cliff of doom near Midgar.

The first time a SOLDIER (third, second or even better, first class) get a woman pregnant.

And suddenly I'm imagining a plot in which, way before Genesis turned not to be exactly up to standards, SOLDIER Second Class Zack gets Aerith pregnant. Except that it's the first time that a SOLDIER makes a baby and everything doesn't exactly go like normal.
From there on, SOLDIERs go batshit crazy against Hojo, they discover his insanity and so on and so forth, and everybody get a happy ending.

Especially, with a healthy dose of Cloud and Seph getting bawled over for the first time by a (not exactly normal?) baby, Genesis being totally horrified at the idea of even touching him and Angeal going gaga over the kid.

It's kind of crude as plot goes, but I like the idea of Hojo meeting is end because of an innocent baby XDD

And I really can change a two words prompt into some kind of drabble ^^;;; Feel free to ignore my ramblings ^_~

"Can a cop even be a fag?"

Naruto stops in the doorway, mouth already open to protest. Sasuke keeps chopping up carrots with ingrained regularity, not missing a beat. "Looks like. Set the table. Plates are over here."

"It's not allowed," the kid says, and doesn't make a move to get up from the kitchen table.

"Making you work for your supper?" Sasuke replies, missing the point quite deliberately. "If you're not sick and you can't set the table, you're obviously not hungry enough."

Naruto stop teetering on the edge of yelling, closes his mouth, and starts trying not to laugh instead. A frown appears on the kid's face.

"I bet you anything the other cops don't know. They wouldn't let you otherwise."

Cut, cut, cut. "I want you to set the table. Pay up."

Out of sight in the doorway, Naruto bites his fist to keep from laughing.

"Whaat?!" the kid protests, or whines, it's a close call.

"Naruto and I have the same address. They're cops. Think they wouldn't notice a clue like that?"

"That's not a win! Naruto doesn't look like a fag. They prolly think you're just roommates!"

"Also there's the fact that I took him as my date at this year's award ceremony." Chop, chop. Slide all the little bits in waiting pan. "He kissed me when I came down from the platform."

"Augh!"

"With tongue. Table's waiting."

"Auuuugh."

Thump, the front feet of the chair lands back on the floor. The kid drags his feet like they weigh eight tons each and starts rooting through the cupboards.

Naruto waits a couple of seconds, and comes fully into the room. Sasuke flicks him a look, and for a second Naruto could swear Sasuke is considering the pros and cons of kissing him hello. He doesn't know if he should encourage him or run off. Sasuke in vindictive mode can be very, um, proactive. Adventurous even. Which he almost never is.

On the other hand, years of therapy to pay for.

He drops his hand on Takashi's head and grins. "Hey there. Getting along yet?"

"Yeah, sure," he grumbles, and dutifully lays down the forks. Naruto turns his grin to Sasuke.

"It's fine," Sasuke replies, but when Naruto walks past to get napkins he whispers in his ear "Fair warning, you're bottoming tonight."

It's really hard to explain to Takashi exactly why he spends half the meal blushing, and the rest kicking his stepdad-to-be under the table.

One thing he never thought he'd need when he decided to become Takashi's dad: a ball-gag.

So much LOL! Thank you, it was good for me. I love that silly, sexy, domesticity. (I think one of the quirks I like best about LRTverse is Sasuke's domestic tone underlying his Sasuke-ness.)

(Also, because my brain is like that, we just imagined this entire scenario with Cloud as Sasuke, and Zack and Denzel as Naruto and Takashi, and it was also awesome, it was like getting a two-for-one deal and I LOLed even more.)

It took him until he was well into his thirties, but Trunks eventually found the Vice-President he needed. She had enough technical knowledge to know where an invention was going and enough business sense to know whether it was marketable, and enough integrity and sheer balls that she could say "goddamnit Werner, we told you no on this project, it'll cause at least three small-scale apocalypses" and actually be obeyed. She could also do Julienne fries.

Of course that meant the second he cautiously admitted that perhaps she was good enough that he might permit her to hold down the fort (without siccing his mother on her, even), Goten was saying "Great! We can go then" and herding him into a spaceship.

Apparently they were going on an adventure, before his transformation into an office zombie was complete.

Even for half-breeds, thirty-six wasn't that far from saiyajin adolescence, so even though he bitched and threatened to hack into the computer and turn this ship around goddamnit Goten, it wasn't long before he was letting his best friend drag him hunting for pirate treasures and foiling coups d'état on tentacle-monster, five-moon planets.

They even picked up a pet. Or a sidekick, of sorts. It looked like a baby otter, just bigger, pale green, and with six legs. Trunks had to admit (in the privacy of his own head) that it was adorable, and that leaving it alone after its mom was eaten by that monster would have been really cruel.

Also after a couple of months it was becoming less adorably clumsy and more actually useful, always eager to bring Trunks machine parts when he was trying to fix the stupid ship computer so they'd know where the hell they were going instead of flying at random. (It wasn't his hacking, damnit, he'd done nothing to the hardware, he was sure it was Goten's fault somehow.)

It got really good at guessing which parts Trunks was going to need next, actually. Really, really good.

Trunks and Goten also got really, really good at guessing when, in the middle of the night, it was going to need to slip off their bed and go potty. Somehow.

The tipping point was when Goten named it Tanegaarlzp Irlitt, and then said the name had just popped into his head like that, but come on, it fit really well, didn't it. Even without the accompanying chirping.

Trunks abandoned the computer repairs to make himself a quick intergalactic translator. It was easy, he still remembered the scouter blueprints so he didn't have to reinvent the wheel.

"Goten?"

"Yeah?" Goten said, tickling Tanegaa under its third left foot. It chittered in delight, fuzzy tail sweeping the ground.

"Did you know it was sentient?" he asked, slowly, so he wouldn't freak out.

Goten gave him a 'duh' look. "Uh, you remember its dying mom handing it to us because we were the only living creatures left standing in the area?"

Trunks facepalmed. "That doesn't mean sentient!"

Goten blinked and gave him a weird look. "It looked so heartbroken and so hopeful about its baby, and you thought it wasn't a person?"

"Alright, alright, alright!" Trunks started pacing around the room, tugging at his hair. Goten and Tanegaa kept being disgustingly cute, Tanegaa's plump little body curled into a fuzzy, sage-green circle on his lap as he gave it nose kissies. "Alright, we seem to have accidentally adopted an alien. What the hell are we going to do about it? How are we supposed to raise it?--"

"Keep doing what we're doing? Seems like it works fine."

"--And what about when we go home --"

"We're saiyajin, it could be in ten years," Goten replied placidly. Trunks ignored him, as he finally reached the true core of the matter...

"--And why the hell am I the mom?!"
