Yesterday I decided I would write!

And then I promptly did nothing. I feel very bad about this.

So obviously today I had to write!

Which is why I spent the day doing some more nothing.

Now it's nine thirty PM, and I'm writing summaries for my fics, since I've realized the FFnet ones are kind of thin and for the LJ-only fics I have a tendency to just never bother actually telling people what they're about. I just ramble on about my ideas for a few posts, and if you've missed those posts, when you see the next chapters you're VERY confused. My bad. Anyway. I need to pretend I'm actually doing something, right?

Been trying to write a good summary for Teamwork 2.5 and 3; I'm poking at my personal site and why am I restricting myself to FFnet-sized stuff anyway. >( If anyone's willing to help me clarify or formulate them better, go ahead, but mostly I'm just posting those so I don't lose them in the depths of my computer.




Teamwork 2.5 AKA the Sand Village Interlude

Summary: After the events of Teamwork 2, team Seven is sent to Suna on an escort mission with Shikamaru. Fic includes: Sakura starting to learn to actually use Tsunade's training, Naruto bonding with Gaara, Sasuke getting jealous and hopefully realizing he has a libido, and possibly ShikaTema.
Warnings: (haven't decided what happens yet that needs to be warned for. Hrrm.)


Teamwork 3

Summary: For the first time, Water Country has entered the alliance and agreed to host the Chuunin Exam. Yay for more peace in the world and all that jazz. It should be a piece of cake, right? Right.

OR: Team Seven goes through the Chuunin Exam. Or tries to. Their biggest obstacles might not actually be the other candidates.
I've got to find a way to combine the two of them. I like this one better but there's less info.

Warnings: a little less romance, a lot more action, OC teams, Gaara, Hanabi and Ino cameos, and a hell of a lot of violence and gore and evil angst.


Teamwork : Sakura prequel
On hiatus on account of being boring.

Genre: slice of life
Summary: A couple of years before Teamwork. 15-year-old Sakura and her parents are invited to spend a month with her civilian family. Sakura always thought she was very unremarkable for a ninja, but obviously that means something different outside of Konoha.
Warnings: tons of OCs (Sakura is going to give a go at dating one of them, not that it will last), slow-paced. Also, boring.



CROSSED WIRES

Genre: Cyberpunk
Summary: In an industrial society aimed for a crash, Sasuke the ex-policeman AI android needs the help of Naruto the fox-furry mechanic and gets involved with his apparently-ordinary life. But Sasuke still has his own goals to pursue. Meanwhile, Neji the bio-augmented clone tries to survive both the rogue android unit Itachi and the machinations of his original's family.
Warnings: so far, it's gen, but eventually it should become yaoi. Some violence.



Gundam Wing : THE NEWTYPE FIC

Genre: Action / futuristic / some romance (yaoi and het.)
Summary: A few years after the wars, it's official : Newtypes (humans born with psychic powers as a result of being born in Space) exist. Preventers Wufei Chang and Heero Yuy are assigned to an independent case -- a series of sabotages and murders that might be traced back to their old comrade Duo Maxwell -- but are quickly pulled off-tracks by a series of shocking discoveries. (Contains : newtypes, life in the L2 slums, political and criminal intrigues, and a boatload of issues. Does not contain: girlywimp!Duo, robotic!Heero, ONNA!Wufei, evil!vagina-bearing-whores.)
Warnings: I liek my threesomes and moresomes, yes I do. Not sure it will happen, but if they develop in that direction, who am I to stop them. Also, bisexuality : it exists.




Final Fantasy 7 :

RESTORE

Summary: Two years after Advent Children. Cloud and Tifa never expected to meet with Zack and Aeris on this side of the Lifestream -- and they certainly hoped to never see Sephiroth ever again. Like dealing with the repercussions of that wasn't enough, the old Avalanche group has to band together to support Yuffie in her new, unwanted role as the Lady of Wutai, before the vicious politial intrigues pull her under. But it's hard to concentrate on it when Sephiroth walks the Planet once more.
Warnings: not-evil Sephiroth (note, I didn't say pure!innocent!woobie!Sephiroth or even nice!Sephiroth.), violence, action, angst, het-yaoi-yuri, possible polyamory (Cloud and Tifa are sorta together at the beginning, but I also ship Cloud/Aeris, Zack/Cloud/Sephiroth, and Aeris/Tifa, and I think Zack/Tifa and Sephiroth/Tifa interaction have the potential to be very interesting. (In a very hate-sex-y way for the second one, but.))



REVIVE

Genre: some angst/action/psychological/humor.

Summary: The Planet has decided that Sephiroth's will isn't dissolving fast enough, and the memory of Jenova's pollution is bothersome. Perhaps actually living a full life will wear him down enough that the next time he dies he will go quietly. Zack manages to hitch a ride to ensure that Seph isn't sent back just as fast as he left. Problems: Jenova was torn loose and damaged Sephiroth's mind on the way out, causing memory loss and confusion; the person Zack counts on to call off the hounds, Cloud, might not be very happy with Sephiroth appearing on his doorstep; and they came back to life where Sephiroth last died : the Northern Crater.

Naked.

It's just the beginning.

Warnings: Not-quite-sane-but-not-naturally-pure-evil!Sephiroth, Zack's sense of humor.



Original story: Mermaids in Space

Genre: worldbuilding, action, scifi, psi powers.

Summary: The civilization that genetically engineered mermaid-looking humans as underwater workers fell; deprived of any kind of industry, the merpeople regressed to primitive nomadism. A few hundred years later, Lìadan, a young mermaid, is ready to go on her adulthood journey. She didn't expect to meet Arun, the curious and determined marine biologist, who didn't have a clue this abandoned water-world was still inhabited; neither she nor Arun expected to be captured by the space pirate crew to which Blue, the quiet, ruthless mechanic belongs. And none of them expected to be forced to escape together as a pitiless corporation decides it will be easier to get the right to mine the water-world if no one knows it's inhabited at all.

the problem's mostly that I can't start the scene properly. T__T I had it clear in my mind when I took my notes but of course I didn't write it right away and forgot the mood and everything. Haaaate.

I kind-of know how you feel, except for me it lasts the entire way through the writing process. I think the longest bout of inspiration that I've had lasted about half an hour. But AIM help is always fun :]

Someone needs to make a sequel to that icon. Perhaps the cha-cha.

XD; Well, don't feel too bad, I have no clue where i'm going with Revive and I only have like three posts so far. The initial plot also involved the triplets from Advent Children, but then I realized I really care nothing about them, so a multipart half-dedicated to them = bad idea. XD;

That's about one character shy of being over the limit but maybe it will give you an idea of how to play with it?

Not about the summaries, but I've recently been thinking about the Sakura prequel, and I wondered if maybe the reason it's boring is because it's kind of obvious who she's going to sleep with. And they don't have a lot of physical chemistry.

...I'm sorry if I'm coming across as wanting to write your plot. *cringes* But I was thinking she had more 'physical chemistry' with the one of the three guys that reminded her most of Naruto. Maybe it'd feel less predictable if she had a fling with him instead? :/ her life not being a shoujo manga and all.

Yeah, I fail at chemistry. I don't know, I can't manage to connect with that Sakura anymore, and nothing HAPPENS -- granted that's the point, vacations in small towns are rarely eventful -- but ew. Boooooring. I should probably rewrite it but add another subplot or something, but I just don't feel it at the moment. ;.;

I haet summaries. That's why when I actually write something my summaries are always one short sentence. People think I'm mysterious. >O!

My reaction to the cyberpunk summary: The HELL. This sounds so cheesy and cliche and ick, but it's a good story and how did she do that? D: ASUKA KURERU I LOVE YOU. There's only one explanation--SHE'S A GODDESS. *worshipworship* I gotta admit I don't think there's a way for it not to sound a little over the top. But it's you, and if they don't know by now to trust you cause you're a good writer and, hey, actually pull it off, unlike a lot of other people, then they're idiots. <3

It is not a newtype fic, it is THE newtype fic, and it's MISS Newtype Fic to you. ;D Also, I showed the summary to a friend, and now she's at my throat, demanding a link. She's not into fanfiction, and I typically have to all but tie her down to force her to read some of my recomendations--and hey, sometimes I do it anyway for fun ;D--so that should give you an idea of just how AWESOME this summary is. <3 Nao I gotta give her the link before I pass out, kay? :'D

Pure!innocent!woobie!Sephiroth gives me nightmares, and I don't even know the fandom. D:

You are the only person ever to write Cyberpunk that I LIKE. That makes me... comfortable, and enthusiastic about both the plot an the chracters. That manages to keep in the reader's mind both the artificial nature of the AI, and their humanity. :) I love you.

Also: Very excited about the Newtype fic. I have never liked 1x5 at all, but the two work great together as partners, and hey, I DID just mention how you get me to read things I've never liked before. :))) I've always loved Wufei (One of the few, the proud, the Wufei-fans), and a well-written Heero is fascinating. The only one I've ever loves more is Duo, though; I hope he's in character here and not responsible for Bad Things. Gigglytwit!Duo makes me want to punch something, as does cutter!Duo, weakheartbrokenangstinghopeless!Duo, it'salltoomuchsoiwillsinkintodebauchery!Duo, and stupid!Duo. However, so does turned-evil(or misguided)enemy!Duo makes me want to cry. :) So I hope it all... turns out okay? Lols.

The newtype fic might not stay pure 1x5. XD Both have other potential matches, and it might end up with a threesome with either of those matches or some kind of time-share foursome, or everyone might end up just giving random booty calls but otherwise staying Just Friends... I'm letting this part of the fic develop as I write.

Stupid!Duo, Cutter!Duo and SluttyHo!Duo are all very eww, so rest assured it's safe. As for misguided, Duo has his own reasons for doing things, and I don't think they're all that much more misguided than Wufei breaking into a hospital and stealing his wife's breathing corpse (... which was pretty illegal and somewhat stupidly risky as well, landed them in deep shit and kind of alienated their allies. oops. 9__9) Now whether it will match Heero and/or Wufei's belief system and they'll find it acceptable, who knows... >D he's not about to apologize either way.
