Drabble prompts plz?

So. Who wants to help me out with the Gundam Wing/Temeraire AU thing by giving me prompts? Because I really want to write more of it, but I don't want to just redo the whole series episode by episode and never deviate from that. It's boring. D:

... oh and um, while you're at it, I'm also open to prompts for the FF7/Daemon AU thing. >_>;; So long as they roughly fit in the ff7 'verse & timeline, that is.

-The two 'verses are gen, but I'll take pairing prompts for this.
-I won't do spoilers on Sephiroth's daemon's adult shape, though I'm good with kiddyroth.

caveats:
- my inspiration is flighty, so supermegathanks if you leave me prompts, but it's very possible it'll just go and decide not to kick into gear. It always makes me feel guilty as hell but when it doesn't work, it REALLY doesn't work. ~__~;
-I often do way better with concrete prompts than philosophical/poetic prompts.

Otherwise, no limits on how many you give me. Prettyplease prompt away. ♥

FF7/Daemons: Turks. Genesis and Angeal. Or the Wallmarket Quest.

Holy crap, holy crap~ *flails happily*

First of all, realy need to read the Temeraire series because my ignorance is stopping me reading fics by both you and esama now, two of my fave authors. :p

Secondly, I'd really like to see a FFVII Daemon verse ficlet with either:
*Ifalna fleeing for Midgar with baby Aeris, I really wanna see infant Daemon like whoa.
Or
*Gast in the labs with mini!Sephiroth as the scientist starts to have serious doubts about creating a new cetra at the cost of Sephiroth's childhood.

I will love you forever if you write even a line or two of either of these. X3

Wallmarket quest is already WIP, and I don't write Genesis and Angeal because I haven't played their game, but the Turks = prrt. Looking for a good scene with them now. Hm. Maybe meeting Elena...

This is less fluff and more world-building, I guess, but I'd like to see how the mobile dolls fit into the Temeraire crossover. Are they dragons? Are they..hm.. mechanical dragons? How would that work? Bonus points for fun Dorothy madness~

Catherine meeting Heavyarms for the first time, possibly at the circus?

Kinda curious what the dragon equivalent of the Zero system would be too (this was spawned by phoenix's prompt about Quatre's epic meltdown).

Apparently I suck at fluff. Did I mention I love this Temeraire/GW crossover thing, because I think I forgot. It's awesome. <3

Inspired by the Quatre-ness of the two above me - what about the Maganac corps? What are their dragon equivalents like?

And that was me not logging in. Oh! What about their vacation in Wutai? Insert jokes about lounge lizards and Reno's daemon being all "LOL No Fail."

Heero's self-destruct. What was Wing feeling during? What happens after, when Trowa and Heavyarms help them heal?

Duo's failed self-destruct. Did Duo know how Deathscythe loved him before that moment?

Duo's fight against Mercurius and Vayete.

Do Wufei and Nataku reach an accord and why

Trowa and Quatre meet and decide not to fight. Did Heavyarms and Sandrock agree or protest, were they the ones to feel it and convince their riders, or the other way round? Maybe Quatre and Heavyarms did the convincing?

And of course, Quatre destroying a colony. Is he with Wing/Zero or Sandrock/Zero? What is Zero in xover-land, a new and different dragon? Wing, mentally shattered after self-destruction and Noventa? A mind-altering dragon drug or technology? All of the above, or something else entirely?

Duo's capture/the subsequent Heero rescuing him.

Annnnnnd I'm seconding the Heero and Wing meet Duo and Deathscythe and the one about them meeting their dragons for the first time. (I especially want to see Duo's. How'd an orphan wind up with a dragon? How does he react? How does Deathscythe react, etc.)

FF7 Daemons... a scene between Zack, Sephiroth, and Aeris? Because I love how you write that OT3. But I can't remember if the prompts you were taking for that was solely based on canon? Eh, lemme know if it doesn't work.

I was thinking, but I hadn't said yet.. i kinda want one daemon canonish verse, and one where Aeris lives, so that one might as well also have SephZackCloudAeris background shenanigans, while I'm at it. XD The idea of sane!Seph and Aeris daemons interacting is very prrt. ... um, but that would be when seph's way past the age for his daemon to settle, though. argh, Will have to keep it for later. ~__~

Relena attempts to conceive of a place in the world for the GunDragons after the war is over. This is complicated by the expense of maintaining dragons, and the presence of such things as large cranes and shuttles that eliminate most jobs they could possibly hold.

One-upping each other. The dragons are placed in a confined space for X reason, and begin boasting to each other about their relative feats. Speed, endurance, skill, virility, all are up for grabs. Things go downhill fast and become...unprofessional.

Zero System. Just...Zero System.

Well I just had a flashback to, Temeraire, uh, masturbating in that lake/river on the way back from China. But he commented some other time that he hadn't made eggs with Qin Mei, which could be used to imply that Dragons have non-penatrative sex/frottage as well as, uh, egg making.

So! *brightly*

'Scythe doing some crazy awesome aerial acrobatics. Maybe he stealth failed, maybe he's having fun, maybe he's trying to dump Duo into the drink but the human isn't co-operating, maybe something else.

And [i]another[/i] dragon (or two!) is heavily admiring this and hits on him. Even if there are missiles flying everywhere because it was a stealth fail. Only, *ahem*, it's not a dragoness that's telling him to shake that tail.

I personally would love to see the scene where Duo, Wufie and Quatre are trying to get back to space and Sandrock self-destructs.

That scene always made me wounder if perhaps the gundams where starting to become sentient.

I can't believe I missed that, and when I read it I squealed because it's a hundred times better than the vague idea I had.

And I'm sorry but I can't stop thinking about this verse now, so here's more prompts. Ignore at will.

Quatre and Quatre's father and how Sandrock fits into their fight.

Nataku and the destruction of L5. Nataku and Sally Po. Nataku and the legends of Temeraire, or Lien. Because they couldn't still be alive, right?

Relena and Tallgeese.

Mobile dolls ...and why Treize disdains them.

Taurus and Aries--bred to be fodder? The name of the breed, or successive dragons named after each other? Moral or ethical implications, for either side?

Dragon politics. Did dragons have anything to do with the colonies' revolt, or their later betrayal of the pilots? Is there a dragon analogue to the original Heero Yuy?

Trowa loses his memory. What happens to Heavyarms during that time? Does Cathy resent her, and does Heavyarms know, or care?

After the war. Was Nataku/Wufei right, is there no place for dragons in peacetime? Do they go feral, or leave to meet the sun, or fly to Mars, or get relegated to ESUN breeding grounds?

Okay I'd better stop before I've prompted the whole series, or the fun parts at least. One more, crack this time, for old times' sake: for no sensible reason, everyone's stuck in a safe-house together, even the dragons, and the tension has just reached epic proportions...
Now I'm really done before I lose my mind and think up draconic-Gundam blanket scenarios.

Did Duo steal Scythe? I'm kind of amused by the idea that he just kept sneaking into the room to get warm.

"Oho. Target acquired," said Marco, who was fond of war movies, with his tail up like a flag and the wings of his nose fluttering wildly.

Elena straightened up. She'd hoped they'd be useful on this mission -- they were The Newbies, there were lots of blunders she needed to make sure her partners forgot as soon as possible -- but she hadn't expected their chance to come so early.

Reno and Rude were off somewhere -- coordinating a last-minute whatever with the head of the troops stationed there, they'd said. But that left her alone in front of the inn and really annoyed, because it had been ages, and naturally there were no convenient Wutainese brats in the street for her to grab and ask to give a message, only an old senile guy and his weird racoon thing, who both glared at her for being... she didn't even know if the issue was "not Wutainese," "A Turk," or simply "a woman in pants". She preferred to think it was being a Turk, so she gave a haughty little sniff and turned smartly on her heel -- something she might have, perhaps, copied from Rufus Shinra a little. The boss did know how to make an exit.

The second they turned the corner she grinned at her daemon, who wagged his fluffy tail and cocked his goofily oversized, drooping ears, and was off like a shot, nose to the ground.

Spaniels might look really cute, and eminently pettable, and like all dogs they indicated an ability to take orders well, but first and foremost they were hunting dogs, and once they caught a scent nothing could make them lose it.

A half hour later she was somewhat wishing he would have lost it anyway.

Marco dangled from the mouth of Flunky Number One's Doberman mutt like a puppy, just as she dangled from the man's shoulders, hands tied behind her back. Flunky Two and his toad ambled behind, and they'd get her before she could get back up even if she managed to squirm enough to get dropped. That disgusting Don Corneo's goose honked and preened and bumbled before them, and sometimes pecked at Marco when he bared his teeth. He had too little range of motion to manage to bite, just like her legs were restrained too tight to kick that old, disgusting pervert in the teeth when he slapped her butt as punishment for her daemon being rude to "his precious Fabulosa."

They were never going to live this down, either.

"All wrong," said Reno, his heel the only thing that kept Don Corneo's hand from losing grip.

Fabulosa honked, running around blindly, her wings beating the air so close to Reno's leg she almost -- almost -- touched him, and if she and Corneo had been smarter Elena might have thought it an attempt to get him to get away from her person, playing chicken. Except if she'd been smarter she would realize that Reno stepping back wouldn't save him; really the other way around.

Reno wouldn't have flinched even if she had touched him -- he was a veteran Turk, the most cold-blooded person she knew -- but in the end Tahoe decided she'd had enough of it and struck without warning, uncoiling lightning-fast. The goose screamed at the first bite.

Tahoe rattled her tail-tips together and flared her hood, swayed to strike again, and in trying to get away Fabulosa went and threw herself right off the edge.

Farm geese didn't fly, not really. They fluttered at best, but Fabulosa was just as paunchy and out of shape as Don Corneo was.

Elena berated herself for being so squeamish, but she had to admit she was relieved when Reno lifted his foot and let gravity have Don Corneo before the distance between man and daemon tore them apart.

She'd seen him think about it. She knew he could have chosen not to, too. But it hadn't been necessary, and it hadn't been in his orders, and in the end, Corneo hadn't been worth it. When Rude helped her down from the statue she went quietly, still thinking about it, about how Reno was everything a Turk should be, and how she still wasn't.

"Thank you," she said. "I never expected you to come help," and it was true, she hadn't; she should have managed alone; she wondered how annoyed they were. Marco was still in Ben's mouth, as the powerful jaws carried him down with a care that wouldn't have broken an egg.

"Don't act so weak," Reno replied. "You're a Turk!"

"Y--yes, sir!"

He turned away to answer a sudden phone call from the office; Elena stayed quiet, trying to decide if he'd meant 'stop shaming the name of Turks,' or 'Of course we'd come.' The second one seemed a bit like wishful thinking.

"Yes... Yes... I'll get on it right away."

"Was that the company?" Marco hazarded.

"Yeah, they want us to find Cloud..."

Rude and his pit bull daemon straightened, watching the group of enemies who had just dropped into fighting stances. Elena swallowed and lifted her fists. Just because she'd blundered again today, blundered right now, in front of them -- if those were her orders...

... And then Reno went and he -- right there, staring at Avalanche, having just heard and relayed the order to hunt them down, he said, "No, today we're off duty."

...oh.

Marco's head jerked up, staring at Tahoe, and he took a small, cautious step in her direction, a tiny whine caught in his throat. Tahoe threw him a glance, and then Reno grunted, got out a cigarette, and started walking up the statue's arm, right past the bunch of terrorists who still stood there with weapons in hands, Rude and Ben strolling after him. Elena and Marco jumped to follow.

Oh. Oh. Maybe they'd -- no, she was misunderstanding -- but it really did seem like --

"So," Reno said when they reached the bottom of the mountain paths. He and Rude exchanged a long, talking look, Tahoe looping easily through Ben's front paws.

"I'm sorry for getting caught," she said. "It was--"

Tahoe rattled her tail, just once. "What were your mistakes?"

"I went alone."

"Why?"

"Because the scent might have been gone, and--"

"You're a Turk. Some days you'll have to work alone. What were you planning to do after you were caught?"

... She'd made the right call? Well, not the right one, but -- oh, right. She'd taken a risk, with the available information, and Turks didn't -- couldn't -- play it safe anyway. He didn't seem to even question that of course she would be planning something, she wouldn't give up just because she'd been captured. Elena straightened her spine a little. "Well, I -- I was waiting for a chance, I -- someone would have had to let me down at some point and then, um, I thought -- they'd have to sling me on their shoulder for it -- I'd have gone for their kidneys..." She swung her fists down in illustration, giving Reno a hesitant look.

"Hm."

He shrugged, looked down at Tahoe, turned on his heels.

"North-west?" Rude suggested. Elena blinked from one man to the other.

"Hm. What's it like again?"

"Windy."

"The waves?"

The tiny stub of Ben's tail quivered happily in response.

"Uh, sempai?" She looked back and forth once again, hope starting to rise even as she tried to keep it down; it was too early to feel that. It was almost as if she was starting to feel her way into their almost telepathic communications, but...?

"The beach, Elena, the beach. What else do you want to be doing in Wutai on vacation?"

They strolled away in the direction of the chopper, casual and cool like -- well, like Turks, and offing someone who threatened one of theirs was all in a day's work.

Reno had meant it like that, that of course they'd come for her, or else why would he have bothered to ...

They'd put off a job for her.

"Dancers," Rude suggested.

"Shyeah right, if there's a titty bar in the whole island no one will admit it to me."

Grinning, Elena jogged after them.

Je connais pas l'univers de Temeraire (mais ça donne envie) mais du coup, j'aurais des questions (applicables au monde gundam) : tous les dragons sont "breeded" (je viens de me lever, me demande pas de parler une seule langue) ou il y en a à l'état sauvage ? l'existence des dragons est "common knowledge" ou pas ? qu'est-ce qui rend les GunDragons exceptionnels par rapport aux LeoDragon, AriesDragons, etc. ? Les dragons survivent dans l'espace ??

(Mais sinon, ouais, je voudrais voir l'équivalent du Zero System ^_^ Et plus de Wufei/Nataku parce que ça a été mon passage préféré dans ta première série de drabbles *_* Quelle est l'opinion de Nataku sur Treize, peut-être... Sa réaction quand Wufei est tout "depressed" quand il est avec Trowa au Cirque... Comment (et quand !) Nataku et Wufei arrivent à s'entendre ?)

XD; Oui oui, tout le monde sait que les dragons existent, ils sont très répandus. en plus c'est dur de cacher une bête de trente tonnes qui vole dans les airs et mange régulièrement deux trois vaches par ci par là. La survie dans l'espace est exclusive aux gundams. Le reste Wing essayat de se faire passer pour une feral donc oui, il doit bien y en rester... je pense que je pourrais en faire une prompt quand même de celle-là. *réfléchit*

Sephiroth & nameless, unsettled daemon

Sephiroth is five year old when his daemon starts mimicking the daemons of people they are around. Which is a normal stage of development in children, perfectly on schedule.

What's not normal is that when this happen his daemon doesn't flit back to something else in a matter of minutes, or, if interacting directly with that person and their daemon, as soon as they have left the room.

Sephiroth has always had a surprisingly long attention span for a child. It shouldn't be called abnormal, it should be called remarkable. The lab hands are impressed, the caretakers find it adorable. Professor Hojo has not a word of criticism about it; if any, when he sees a little tonberry toddling after the boy he even tends to smile.

Sephiroth's daemon can stay a tonberry for days after a visit from Hojo, and Gast would be all ready to hail it as proof of developing parental bonding if Sephiroth's face didn't go so utterly blank.

When he moves, he mimics the tonberry, too.

Gast gets the scalpel back before he can swing it down into his own daemon's flank. But try as he may he can't convince Sephiroth to get his daemon to stop mimicking people's.

He starts bringing the boy in his office when he has paperwork to do. It doesn't stop the behavior but at least when his daemon rolls around as an otter with Gast's Shelag, Sephiroth actually smiles.

"I told you -- told you -- you needed to leave that last crate alone. Didn't I tell you?"

"Oh, shut up and push, before I kick you."

"You just try it, you stupid lizard-- And I am pushing!"

"I do believe it would be more productive to pull, at this point."

Duo jerked up, looked panicked for a couple of seconds, and then grinned and leaned nonchalantly against his dragon's butt, as if looking casual enough could make it look less like it was sticking out of the cargo hold's wall. Deathscythe's back claws skidded on the floor a last time and went still.

"Uh. Old man G?"

"Mm-hm."

"... Aha. Haha. Ha."

"Oh, by the way, the rations you ate are coming out of your next week's meals."

"Hey!" Deathscythe started wriggling again. G tried not to make it too obvious exactly how ridiculous he found having a conversation with a dragon butt.

"Aw, man, he'll do his starved hatchling trick and make me hand over my own to compensate!" Duo complained, grabbing his tail and starting to pull. "He's always starving, it's not fair."

"It's your punishment for thieving," G replied. "Next time..."

"Ask you first?" Duo turned to give him an aghast look, and stared when he noticed G was entirely serious. "But you bitch every time we have to revise his meal curve upwards!"

The dragon and the boy tumbled to the floor as Deathscythe suddenly popped free of the maintenance crawlspace, ruining his indignation.

"... I was going to say, next time, don't get caught."

Obviously the rising quantity of food to steal would mean rising difficulties, and rising consequences; but G had faith that Duo wouldn't get caught a second time, not now that he was taking it seriously.

*Squee shatters windows*

Thank you so much! This was perfect: I can see Gast having an otter and Hojo- a Tonberry which is a vicious, unrelenting and methodical sadist? Hojo all over. Alhough the emotions in this have me wibbling (and really, realllllly wanting to hug Sephy like whoa) I still love it to pieces for being so beautifully screwed up psychologically. <33

Elena with a spaniel is too awesome for words. (I know spaniels can be badasses, but I still want to cuddle Marco.) Also, Fabulosa. Fabulosa! This making me grin. Thanks for writing!
