Okay so teamwork has decided to be a bitch once again. I'm letting it rest for now. Problem is, most of my other stories are similarly sulking or otherwise lethargic.

Of course that means I've got to get brand new, random, extremely silly bunnies.

Askerian: i want something with alternate universes where they're vampires and werewolves and space adventurers and cowboys and shit.

So, trying to be less fail-y re:attention span, I've been trying to integrate it into older bunnies. But the only real life! bunny I have at the moment is that thing where Naruto and Sakura are on their honeymoon and Sasuke is the rich son-of-owner manager of the super posh hotel they ended up at. (psst. i'm totally aware that it's self-indulgent and silly and completely sasuke-centered, and there aren't even any bad guys or explosions. i feel like indulging myself, so there.)

My notes so far:

Naruto: ?? social worker? (planning to be a cop? something else where he can impact stuff? But after sakura is done going through school. He can wait; also likes the current job)
Sakura: workaholic; shall be a surgeon! (dyed hair! Usually kinda chestnut.)
Met at school, hated each other!!! Naruto mostly bcz rival was needed but also bcz sad she didn't want him back; sakura mostly bcz he was uncool and she was shallow, but things changed.
Sasuke: manager of a resort, v. rich. Only flirts with people when that'll bring him something usually, but Naruto and Sakura amuse him and he gets interested.

PART I

1.
Sakura: *takes a look at the hotel's gardens and pool and super-luxurious everything* ... Ahhh such a waste of money, I can't believe it. Really I think it's more like Ino got us the present she wished she'd get...
Naruto: yeah but it's still nice of her. And there's no reason not to enjoy it. Look at that, is it for real XD
Sakura: *eyeroll* u_____u oh, Naruto, you so silly -- heee, show me that.
Naruto climbs on v. prettily carved stone balustrade and takes it all in. Wheeeeee!

Balcony upstairs, flirting with rich old lady(or whoever else, dun matter), Sasuke (with wineglass in hand? Haha) Sasuke sees them being uncaring about being out of place because they're having fun; kind of disdainful but entertained; gets distracted from chat which doesn't happen often, his customer notices,
- ahh you never do play with children your own age
-*too mature to huff!!!* I'm hardly a child. For that matter neither are they. honeymoon i believe
other *laughs at him- like that means anything.* -go play sasuke
-hmph. >.>

Anyway they both meet Sasuke separately, both feel a sort of ping, both flirt with him, and after much separate guilt they realize haha! they have a crush on the same person. hahaha. Hehehe. Um.

So... Sasuke is all *shrug* *drags them both in bed* and they have an awesome hot passionate night of sex. The morning after is a little less with the sexy, but Sakura and Naruto eventually stumble their way through a discussion on how much this night will just be a fun little memory of their honeymoon and they're still otpforevaryayz and it will have no long-term impact rly. a threat? no threat. haha. ha. Sasuke was listening to them reassuring each other, so he just gets dressed and he's all very cool à la "oh don't worry I have tons of one night stands, it never does matter, you two are so... quaint."

When I say Sasuke "flirts" ... Well. His family went from relatively close and loving, middle class, to super rich and also never hanging out together anymore. He was taught to be polite, and he does it to please his parents, but it's always surface deep. It's more like he plays the mysterious "no comment" little smile a lot, and people immediately go "omg what is he thinking!!! I MUST KNOW" when really he's thinking he wishes he could go and run a mile or two but fuck, he's got to dance with X so that her grandmother will feel more inclined to invest in whatever.

He does it because his family needs him to do it. He's lonely, wary of people because they always only want him because he's hot and rich and "mysterious" but they're never really interested in who he actually is. He wants to be doing something meaningful with his life, but his family expects him to help manage some of the family assets and since he doesn't want to disappoint them he just stays in a job that bores him to death, with people he wouldn't trust with a stray dog, even less his real self, and he tells himself that his family *needs* him, to fight the feeling that he's not doing anything here that a random hired manager couldn't do just as well. Also they almost never see each other because they're all so busy running around the globe socializing and buying new hotels and investing money and having stuff built and whatnot. So they're very successful socially and money-wise but Sasuke misses the times where they were poorer but actually close.

So he envies Naruto and Sakura's close relationship and the easy way they relate a lot, and how they can be open, and how Naruto has great dreams of fixing the poor area of the town he comes from, and Sakura wants to be a really successful surgeon. Compared to them he feels directionless. So there is some dark impulse that makes him allow them to get closer, knowing they're just barely married, knowing it might fuck up their relationship if he allows and encourages their interest. After their one night stand he cuts off all contact because, well. He can't have it, and he's trying to tell himself he doesn't even want it.

But when Naruto and Sakura get home they realize they miss the passion Sasuke brought out of them, because they have lots of understanding and support and fun, and it's not like they're totally passionless, both of them, but Sasuke... well. He focused them, in a way. And they were interested by the hints he showed them; they want to know more about him.

So after another discussion they decide to ... well, perhaps seduce him into a real relationship, but at least make him a friend first. Which is a lot harder than just getting him into bed again. XD

But I had NO IDEA of the way to do that, until the playing MMORPGs bunny hit. XD I think that's how they do it -- they slowly but surely drag him into their own little fun games -- online, partly, and dragging him to way cheaper bars than he's used to but where they have actual friends and they can have fun without tabloids going ZOMG at *anyone* in the area, and mom'n'pop restaurants where they can have long talks on issues of society that Sasuke (and Naruto and Sakura) feels actually matter... and before he knows it, they've completely wormed their way in. Mmmmyeah.

So talking him into rolling a character and getting into their party will provide both fun and jokes, and an occasion to sneakily draw him closer without having him feel emotionally threatened. Hohoho.

... Also, the "Sakura gets herself a barbarian and forces Naruto to get a cleric" idea gave me such a "omg they're completely married" vibe. So really it's perfect for this universe, isn't it? X'D

... So now I have the all-important question. Apart from Sorceress!Elf!Ino, who else would they have in their party, and what would they play? XD XD XD (also, other suggestions on how they should deal with the seduction of Sir Uchiha? >__>)

i feel obligated to note that a lot of the bunnies I get can grow extremely detailed plots, but I might still end up never actually writing them. Fair warning. x__x Like that old furries!AU verse that never went anywhere.

I keep getting more silly, useless ideas about that RP thing. Sakura would try to get them to actually RP instead of just killing random monsters, and there would be silliness as the boys do it half-heartedly, and Sasuke would end up joining in the joking around and being surprised that he's honestly laughing.

Sakura: *invents harem law for her barbarian*
sasuke: ... D: ... my girl is xingese. she doesn't care about your barbarian laws.

That sounds... really epic and fun and sexy. I would love to read that fic. Even if it is really cracky and stuff.

I could picture Shikamaru and Chouji as players of a MMO. I mean, I can just see them hanging out in a kind of grungy apartment with bags of potato chips scattered around, and then not even really playing the game or going on quests or anything, just messing around and leveling up and getting gold for the heck of it.
Shikamaru could be like... a ranger or something. I have no idea what Chouji would be.
(Of course, I don't play many MMO's, so I would not really know...)

As for other ideas... you could add conflict in the form of Sasuke's family? I mean, I doubt that they care who he has fun one-night-stands with, but actually starting to pursue a long-term romantic relationship with two people who are already married probably doesn't sit well with nouveau riche peoples like them. At least that is what I am thinking.

(I know exactly what you mean by bunnies that can get extremely detailed. I had a Sakura magical-girl plot that got that way on me.)

Ooh, Sasuke's family. I think I could, yes, good idea. Though I'd probably only bring them back toward the end, and I don't want a huge plot related to them trying sneaky plots and manipulations to get sasuke to drop them. I don't think it would fit the mood I have in mind.

Hmm. Get a ghost writer to do it for you? (Like, plot out how it should go, have somebody else write it, then you read it extensively and edit for characterization?)

Small and cute would be adorably awesome. I could actually see Chouji not really having a favorite character, kind of playing like three or four. But I don't know what his main character would be.

(Yes. She was like, the pink leader of a group of magical girls, which was basically Sakura, Ino, Hinata, Tenten, and Temari. I think they were named after flowers or something, it was awhile ago. I vaguely remember Ino being orchid and her color being purple.
They fought against Akatsuki, who were evil and summoned evil things called Nightmares that the girls defeated using transformation sequences and magical attacks.
And Sakura had relationships with both Sasuke, who was kind of on Akatsuki's side but had goodness to him and it was kind of a guilty pleasure because he was her enemy, and then with Naruto who didn't really have magical powers but kind of knew what Sakura was about and he started trying to be her hero and impress her and whatever. I never decided who she ended up with in the end, but knowing me it would have probably gone the threesome way or nothing would have been resolved.
Oh, and Shikamaru worked part-time at the karaoke-bar the girls used as a secret base. Because it was all kind of a nostalgia kick for my days of fangirling sailor moon and its ilk.)

I think Chouji has at least one fairy character, which might be his main. XD

I can't stop thinking of Navi from the Legend of Zelda. And as cool as having a fairy friend, she really annoyed me sometimes. Still, Chouji won't be like that, right?

... I want that fic. XD The D&D nerd in me was hooked immediately. So of course my vote is that they do D&D campaigns, but if they're with a gaming group, a lot of times you switch out games and sometimes have multiple campaigns running. MMO is good for when people don't actually live near each other and it's inconvenient to meet up.

Echoing araine's suggestion of Shika and Chouji added to the group. It's very easy to see them as gamers. If Shikamaru could be convinced to give a damn, he would make a great DM for D&D style games. TPK AAAAH I think Hinata would make an adorable gamer too, you know she started just because Naruto was doing it, but then realized she enjoyed it?

I don't know about Hinata, the Hyuuganess makes me think she'd fall more on the Sasuke side of who knows who, and I really don't want her to just happen to know Naruto when Naruto and Sasuke's meeting was already pure chance to start with.

Hey, Hinata and/or Neji could get dragged in to the MMO by Sasuke in that case--he wouldn't want to be the odd man out who didn't really know anybody, and I can really see a Sasuke with this upbringing making at least a slight friendship with the Hyuugas if they were the only ones at parties who didn't annoy him all the time.

I could imagine Kiba and Shino being players.
Kiba battling with Naruto (both being loud, passionate,... more quarreling than actually playing - complaining to Sasuke, Sakura and everybody else about the other one going)
and Shino being a little challenge for Sasuke

But whatever, I want to pick at this.

I don't play MMO games, all I know are traditional RPG's (mostly Final Fantasy), fantasy novels and random bits I've picked up about D&D. But here are some semi-coherent thoughts on characters anyway.

Sai= "Read it in a book." I don't see him starting out very adventurous in choosing a character. Someone would give him something wildly out of character because he was being boring. Dwarf fighter or something. Can you play bad guys? A succubus would be interesting. Or dragon-kin.

Chouji= ...Fairy. Or elf, something pretty and delicate looking, like the butterfly he is inside. <3

Lee= Paladin. I can see him wanting to be a holy knight.

Gaara= Black mage. Make things go asplode-y without a lot of dodging about.

Hinata= Bard. For no aparent reason but that I think it would be cute. Or more seriously, she'd want to be the sort of outgoing person who could perform before an audience.

Neji= Automatic association is half-elf. Or Dragoon.

Yeah, okay, now I'm tapped out. Too tired to think. Bai bai.

OHGODYES. Team 7 playing MMOs. I LOVE YOU!

Shikamaru - a ranger or a mage. Something long-range that he can control using nothing but shortcut commands and hotkeys. He'd probably just think the seduction plan is troublesome, but not get in the way.

Chouji - either a fairy-ish or an equally ironically small character (like the Tarutaru from FF 11) with both offensive and defensive/healing capabilities, like a red mage. He might help Naruto and Sakura at least become friends with Sasuke, but I don't know about the seduction part.

Sai - either a very basic, stereotypical character (warrior or mage), or something very risque - a scantily-clad sorceress or a sexy pirate perhaps? And dude, it's Sai - he'd either try to seduce Sasuke (or Naruto) for himself, or help but be really awkwardly backhanded about it.

Lee - I like the paladin suggestion, but really any kind of fighter or warrior class would probably work. He'd likely RP his character as Robin Hood-like or someone equally noble/chivalrous. He'll probably help with the seduction - after all, it's "a beautiful expression of the fires of youth!"

Kiba - berserker or beast-tamer. Maybe a wolfman-like race. He might tease Naruto about he whole seduction plan, but I'm sure he'd either help or at least be supportive

Shino - I think he'd play an assassin, or something else with both close combat and long-range attacks. Not sure what he'd think about he seduction plan, honestly.

Shika, Chouji, Sai, Lee, Kiba, I agree with you! (Lazy to type out something everyone's been saying. XD Sorry, and thanks. :D) If they need to have epic battles with other people, Shika would probably be the strategist too. ("man, too troublesome to re-train my charac a level if he die... Naruto, go shoot him in that direction.")

Shino could play an assassin, he seems the type. I feel he'll most likely go something like 'hn' on the seduction plan, but probably push Sasuke in the right direction if you ever have a 'omg internal character conflict!' moment.

Ino as high elf sorceress = sexy <3

You want other girls? Tenten to me seems to be a classic warrior type. Temari seems like a warrior princess, Amazon-like? She needs something to wield, but not in close combat... She'll probably dress her charac in a 'hey! lookit me!' style.

Another idea: you could have some of the teachers come on as GMs too. Or get someone to be a hidden GM. *Player Naruko is banned 30 days for waving her boobs in the GM's face* Or something. XD I've once seen this guy beg a GM to ban him because he didn't do his homework. -.-

Write the RP fic! It sounds great and hilarious. There really isn't enough Team Seven AU hilarity out there. <3

...Ohgod my every waking moment for the foreseeable future will be dedicated to thinking about this. I've been a WoW addict for about 5 years now *major flailage*

I have to go get ready to attend a wedding, BUT I WILL BE BACK. AND POKE YOU ABOUT THIS. BECAUSE, UM, YES.

Until then, here are some things to consider real quick:
If Naru-tachi don't know someone yet - Lee or Kiba or whomever, they can meet through a group quest/dungeon. Sometimes a difficult quest requires a full party, and dungeons have better gear quality than normal quest rewards and also require a full party.

To meet Guild Leader Shika, perhaps he's just getting his guild started - you typically need a certain number of signatures from different players (WoW is 10 but it's handwaveable) in order to start one.

Professions: Cooking, Fishing, and First Aid are a given, but what would each person specialize in? Would Sakura want to make her Barbarian a Blacksmith so that he can make ginourmous weapons? Etc etc

But, I'd say, if you're going to do an MMO, or a pen pencil and paper or online sort of things, to actually try to know about your topic.

Like.. not just "whee, you kill stuff and do quests to level up" in an mmo but actually either play for a while or do lotsa research... to get an idea about how these things actually work... how peopel act in games, etc.

It's that whole 'ring of truth' thing :) It shouldn't be so uncomprehensilble that people who don't know are going "bwah? lingo?" but just.. y'know.. it's the little things. :D quibbles over loot, people eing asshats, etc.

WoW isn't very PC intensive... I don't know how ancient your PC is, but... you could probably play if you turned the graphics settings down :D

As a City of Heroes player, I very much approve of the MMO idea. ^_^

...and my brain is insisting I note that I picture Hinata as having been a longtime player who's delighted to realize her real-life crush shares the hobby she's been using as a substitute for her emotional family life.

XD I can imagine Shikamaru joining Chouji's group and putting himself on "Follow" on Chouji so that he can get the exp and ect without having to really do much.

I'm a huge MMO(WoW), gamer, D&D fan.

I totally see Kiba going as a Druid "become one with nature! Or become one with Akamaru...or switch into other beasts." Oh this mishaps of ezpanding on druids "I'm a tree! No!! keep Akamaru away!" Though in WoW Rangers/Hunters get pets and Akamaru could be an Elite pet he tames.

I actually see Shikamaru more of a wizard/sorcerer. With WoW wizards he can have his Minion(Imp, BigBlue, Succubus) to do his dirty work for him as he attacks (if he feels like it) from afar with shadow damage. More than likely he's use BigBlue as a Minion. Though if you also have Ino as a sorceress with a pet she's be using Succubus constantly perhaps try to use it on Sasuke. With a D&D perspective Shikamaru would definitely be a Warlord having abilities to buff party and give other characters extra action by sacrificing his own. Very chesslike

o.o; If you use Sai as a "succubus" race and still be a male he'd be called an "Incubus" since he's a guy.

For Naruto I see him more as a Paladin since he coul.d still heal and is like...nearly impossible to kill. *mutters* Freaking Bubble... "Join the light! We have boobies (attacked by Sakura -700hp) Erm cookies! Yeah!"

Hinata I would see more playing as the stereotypical cleric to go along with Naruto's paladin. "Hinata, lets kill undead to bring light!" "Y-yes of c-course!" or maybe another monk using her "gentle fist"

Sai I actually see as a bard...a rather bad one since he may be bad at cheering the party on or just bad at inspiring. Erm.. maybe not a bard after all.

Chouji I would think of as a Dwarf Hunter since they start off with guns instead of bows and are also rather...sturdy like Chouji. Also in WoW the hunters have "Aspect of Cheetah/Aspect of the Pack" which certainly gives a boost to speed of running around (rolling around) and with the Pack it does it for all of the party with a side effect that if you get his you're stunned for 4secs.

Lee is more Monk class no weapons just fists(*grabs arrow in midflight* :D Oh hello I believe this is yours)

AHAHAHA LOL I have nothing to add to the NaruSasuSaku. HoPlate!Naruto is somehow the most cracky, IC thinmg EVER.

Kiba would totally be a beast tamer/summoner. And Hinata would start playing it because Kiba is~~ I dunno whether she'd be a bard or something else though...
Then they'd partner up and play online together!

And yeah, Sai would TOTALLY be a succubus, with the bare belly and everything. I think he'd stay male, though. And when people eventually meet him in RL, they'd be all O___O WAIT. YOU REALLY DRESS LIKE THAT??

Shika is totally Game Mod, hands down. Maybe he'd be a shadow mage? So he like freezes/attacks people with shadow + darkness. Mmmmmhh.

Also, HighElf!Ino possibly has a second character, Succubus!Ino, inspired by Sai. Ohohoh, InoSai flirting!

Lee = Paladin. A GREEN paladin. XDDD

And Tenten would be an amazon.

Just my two cents =D

Can also go with traditional Japanese MMO with cliche anime attacks. Think Tower of Druaga Episode 1. Naruto being the guy who uses the power of friendship for the Omega Super Cannon Blast Combo Final Attack.

Or you can revisit Hunter X Hunter (you HAVE watched that show, right? Killua = Young Sasuke with emotions) and try the Greed Island thing. Buy and trade weapons, spells, etc in a big online universe with lots of people.

.hack has already been done and gives an idea for some of the issues players can face in a virtual world. Lots of potential, just a matter of the bunnies. :3

I really like the newlyweds bunny, it seems fun and interesting. The RPG just sounds hilariously awesome. Bringing the game into the newlyweds 'verse would be kind of cool, but I don't see how they would mesh amazingly together, since the newlyweds universe seems so very focused on them all getting together. Maybe it'd need to be yet another universe... well, whatever you decide, if you write it, I'll be reading it!
