Oh god I love my characters. actually they're all fucking badasses, maybe I should tone it down a b-- HAHAHA NO. I dun care I'm having fun! GO ON BEING BALLSY AND DANGEROUS, PEOPLE.

Kinda very late for NaNo, though -- didn't write all week aaaa -- but today I sat down and BAM 3500 words. Of course when I was planning I was kinda planning for the first 10k words to be covering, oh, TWICE AS MUCH GROUND AS I ACTUALLY DID and so I'm gonna have to trim a lot of the boringness, but write first edit later and for now word count is good. woohoo word count.

Also, no, I am not adding a hyena girl to my main cast. Not. NOT. I'm serious, Soraya. Go back to the background character box. D:



TOTAL WORD COUNT SO FAR, 11 762. AND I'M STILL NOT POSTING BWAHAHAHAHA. Maybe when I hit 15k. :D

Oui, dans le jus avec les stages, les exams, les projets de groupes et le travail, mais sinon tout va bien et tu es un soleil et un petit moment bien à moi que je prends le temps de prendre quand je peux te lire! Merci!

aussi XD PSA!!! lol je suis de retour à l'école et je termine mon cours pour devenir infirmière dans quelques mois. Mardi, j'ai un gros examen sur le cancer de la prostate et l'hypertrophie bénigne de la prostate et le PSA est une prise de sang pour évaluer le niveau d'enzyme relatif à la prostate dans le sang pour savoir le niveau de santé de cet organe lol J'm'excuse, j'ai pas pu m'en empêcher XD

(et heu à part écrire, ben. je suis au chomdu ces temps ci. Vais faire du volontariat dans un atelier de peinture, s'ils me prennent... ca paye pas mais c'est quelque chose à faire pour se lever le matin XD)

I have, twice, decided I needed to scrap everything before the current chapter. So I wrote notes on what to change and forged on. So at the moment I have fragments of three timelines. One from deciding I really, really, cannot write small children and jumping the character up three years. This means I still have to write her as small child when I rewrite the early chapters, but at least she won't be quite as small. Then, the next day, I realized that way back when I laid out my chapters I had made a horrendous goof with the science behind it all. I either had to shift everything to start a month earlier or two months later. Since I was already rewriting everything up to the previous chapter I went and shifted things back. Thematically it works better to start and end on the threshold between winter and spring anyway.

So, yeah, I'll get to 20k tonight and won't fall behind but there is one heck of a lot of rewriting before this thing sees the light of day. I actually had the urge to throw up my hands and write on one of my older NaNo stories today rather than deal with this one.

So I guess my point was it could be worse? :D I can't say I love my characters this year, but I don't hate them, and Karen is now at an age I can actually write so maybe she'll get loveable soon.

I actually started a not-at-all serious writing hobby mid-August and according to FF.net, I've churned out 182K words since.

Of course, I haven't really given much of a shit about quality. I'm the "literary" equivalent of a kid who picks up a sketchbook and starts doodling shit with no direction or purpose.

Haha, hyena girl sounds like she might be your ticket to avoiding writer's block. *waggles eyebrows* To be fair, I am totally biased by my love of hyenas. Those cast iron stomachs, matriarchy, super creepy laughs and gang wars with the lions? *hearts*

I'm not even checking my word count until the 15th. (just looking at my wordcount and weeping are my plans for that day. also- therapy chocolate.)
