Vacation! + pics.

I'll be away from teh internet for a week or two, I don't know yet. Might come back early. This year we're not camping, we've got an apartment, so hey, who knows. My brother's girlfriend lent me her laptop (!!! I'll be able to WRITE!!! with a real keyboard!!! not a stylus on something cellphone sized!!!) so if there's wifi to be stolen over there I might pop up, but count on me being incommunicado for at least a week.

I am not sure how much i'll enjoy it, because of course it turns out that Dear Grandma and Most Annoying Aunt and her bratty teenage kids just so happen to have randomly decided to go on vacation somewhere that's like a block away from where we'll be staying. Amazing coincidence!!! But so long as Grandma isn't living *with* us, I'll make myself endure.

Worst comes to worst I'll take a train home the second the first week is over. >___> Maybe that way I'll dodge the birthday wishes that sound like "CONGRATS you're THIRTY and still UNMARRIED so I hope by next year YOU WILL HAVE a MAN in your LIFE."

Anyway I still gotta:
-pack clothes
-pack drawing materials
-download ebooks on dad's iPaq
-download my WIPs on charline's laptop
-have another little flailing crisis of omg thirty wtf
and then I'll be ready to go. Ohoho.

Ack, annoying family memebrs. D: I had a wicked awful vacation this summer for my cousin's wedding, lots of nagging from my own family. Marriageable ages are bullshit, anyways, as well as the expectation that people need to get married. My uncle's almost 60 and he's been with his girlfriend for 14 years, and neither of them have any plans of getting married. But she's accepted as part of the family regardless.

With the way things are going, what with people living longer and stuff, it's really not that big of a deal, turning thirty. I know of a couple that didn't meet each other until they were in their sixties, and they had a happy life. Enjoy your freedom while you can, and if you really want to shock the granny, tell her you're gay. :3 Might just get her to shut up.

It's weird how as you get older people seem to go all, "So do you plan on settling down and procreating?" I'm only 20, and I've already got people I've just met asking me if I'm dating or if I want children or if I want to get married. While I'm sure these people mean well, I have to question that they seem to think you're either unhappy or horribly unlucky if you don't have a man in your life. -__-

Art stuff: 1) I like their variations on Naruto's clothes. 2) I really like Itachi in this picture; I'm not sure why. 3) Awww, snuggles! 4) You're right, that doesn't look quite like your usual style, but I like it anyway. 5) Naruto seems to be wearing an awful lot of makeup and fake tanner... :-p I really like Sasuke's hair, expression, and outfit -- it's a variation on Sakura's, right?

re:tripletspic:  The background is pretty, and Naru's eyes!--I really love what you've been doing with light lately.  Most striking to me, though, is how much Naru looks like Naruto and not just the idealised form of anime-female beauty that the Oiroke-no-jutsu represents.  That really brings it home that Naru is more than just another prank clone.

re:saropic:  Neji makes a pretty man and a prettier woman.  I dunno about genderbent Itachi, though; as awesome as it would be, I think his looks make for a more attractive man than a woman.  (He totally got his looks from his father.  Sasuke, though?  All Mikoto.  X3)

re:sleepypic:  I think this one might be my favorite!  Because the light (sopretty), and the mood (socomfortable), and the colors (like a lazy morning when you can't bring yourself to get out of bed or even open your eyes), although Sasuke needs to get some meat on those bones.  There's like, bone and muscle and skin and nothing else, will no one feed that boy a cheeseburger? 

re:profile:  I like it!  Although there might be something weird about the hairline down below his ear.

re:riverpic:  Aaah, so much to comment on!  Love the peeping Haru and Hinata in the background (what would Hinata's boyname be?).  I think I may like the clothed version better, if only because of Naruko's shirt.  sopretty!  *.*  It's just, the light omg the light, and the colors and pretty.  *_*  And the facial expressions!  ...Well, except for Naruko's.  I'm going to have to agree with mya_in_ab on this one.

I dunno, I've drawn girlitachi before and whoa hotness. And I might see a tiny little bit more of Fugaku's facial shape on him than on Sasuke, but to me both the boys favor Mikoto more. (it's just that with Sasuke from birth to age 15 or so she looked to have budded to make Sasuke. XD Now his face's longer as well, though.)

And it just so happens that Hinata is a unisex name! So Hinata's name is still Hinata. Score one for laziness! XD
