-I can post and comment on LJ again! :D

-Made Joisbishmyoga write me a set of Kaito Kid Daemon AU drabblethings! Muahahaha I rule. Her ficlets are awesome fun, if you're into DCMK go and read 'em plz. u.u~ ♥

-And I spent all day saturday devouring this fic... which, uh, is a Sentinel AU where sentinels and guides are known/relatively common and guides are oppressed, and usually those fics are, frankly, rather shitty, especially the ones that pretend to be gen and yet keep warning for "intense bonding scenes" that happen in "bonding suites" that are not bedrooms and "bonding platforms" that are most definitely not beds, where the two men keep cuddling and lying on top of each other and describing their emotions like a softcore romantic porn scene for hours on end, but it's totally NOT GAY goddamnit NO GAYNESS HERE AT ALL LET US SPEND SOME TIME BEMOANING THE LACK OF UNDERSTANDING FEMALES IN OUR LIVES and in conclusion cousins.

... I might have a slight issue with that type of protesting-too-much fic. I would love fic where the primary bond is a platonic friendship and they have girlfriends on the side, it would be kinda poly actually and y'all know I'm all about that, but that's not what those stories usually are.

But anyway. This here chapter is the first of the second sequel but there's links to everything in the header. So.

Realistic "the guides are oppressed!!" situation (not an evil situation of evil just because some a segment of the population is evil and the rest doesn't care enough to protest), Jim and Blair being awesome in a totally non-sue way, lots of anthropology and sociology geekery, and awesomest awesome OC pair that I totally fell in love with. (oh, it's slash too, but even the sex is fun and IC and non-gratuitious, and non-Ikea at ALL! gasp.)

-Saturday and Sunday I also babysat the puppies. Only four left! ;^; But man they're even more active so it's about the same amount of work keeping up with them. x___x graargh pointy teeth and claws.

It's sad that their mom is less exhausted and is interested in them again, and of course they're always extatic when they can even just omg touch noses!!! with mommy, and I couldn't let her in the room with them, because she just had an operation to unwoman her and there's stitches between her back teats that the little brats would tear out in approximately ten seconds.

-Re: current manga: Naruto himself is boring me a bit but who cares because ITACHI IS THE BOSS ALWAYS AND FOREVER. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. (though that crow... XD bwahahaha.)

Glad to see that crow finally make its appearance again, was wondering when he was gonna show up, but now they gotta deal with Nagato, I wonder if Naruto is gonna find out Nagato is a relative?

I admit I kinda like that he had to use the crow early, it would be cheating if Sasuke changed because of a genjutsu and not because he wanted to, but I also like that Itachi likely had to choose betwen manipulate my little brother for his own good or let him get himself killed. He has a long history of brother manipulation after all. XDDDD

I write when I feel like it. I'm glad you like the results but there are ways to put it that don't make me want to slap you over the head with a trout. :/ And since you're posting anon I have a feeling you know that.

I have been slapped with a trout before. 8| It's not as funny as it sounds, you get gunk in your hair and it actually kind of hurts and then your face smells like fish until you can go wash it. ;^;

It's Naruto Uzumaki himself that I find boring, not the Itachi and Shisui thing. XD Though no wonder he drowned, missing both eyes like that. I wonder why the cops didn't see fit to mention the TWO GAPING HOLES IN HIS SKULL along with the drowning.

Does anybody know why Kabutomaru isn't edo tenseiiung Shisui if he's all that? Or why there aren't any Uchihas (other than Itachi) resurrected if they were really that feared/powerful? If he's edo tenseiing pretty much every highlevelpeon (n)ever mentioned in the story shouldn't there be some Sharinganusers? And if edo tenseiing is so easy why didn't Oro do this a long time ago? Why wait and trick Sand and all that if he could have just summoned an army of undestroyable zombies?
And doesn't that mean that Danzo attacked Shisui and ripped his eye out while he was still alive? I'm royally confused. @@

I think he's got to find a way to access their grave first, though now I don't remember why I have this impression. *scratches chin* it's possible Shisui was cremated or something. Or else he'd Edo Tensei Rikudo Dennin himself. Then again that might be who's in the last box that scares Madara so much XDDD

Kabuto did say that he had perfected/leveled up Edo tensei higher than Oro was able to, then again oro wanted to know all jutsu, I think Kabuto would be able to pause and devote more attention to one of them only where orochimaru didn't necessarily take that time since he had still more jutsu to learn. Also it seems to demand a lot of chakra... now why the hell kabuchimaru has more than orochimaru had, I got no clue. Maybe the reincarnation trick, or maybe the fusion is getting Kabuto's cells all excited, who knows.

If I recall, you need access to the DNA of the dead person and a spare body to revive them.

I remember someone saying in the manga that they disposed of anyone with a kekkei genkai or just special ability so it couldn't be examined or and the secrets used against the village.

There was probably a mass pyre for the uchiha clan when it was discovered that they were murdered. Of course, Danzo probably said he would take care of the whole business to have an excuse to steal the eyes and not be found out by konoha. Cause such a large amount of corpses without eyes would of been noticed by at least someone in higher management of Konoha.

Yes, excellent questions, but I suppose what the anon said is true. Yes he is a little boring, but hopefully all the talk about Sasuke will get him fired up. Also, I really hope the "soul" that ningendou pain mode Nagato just pulled out was not Kyuubi. Oh well just one more day lol. Also, please let Itachi still be ok since he hasn't finished explaining everything yet (tired of too much mystery). Lol, people are complaining in other communities that using the crow on Sasuke would be immoral and it proves that Itachi never really cared about Sasuke and why didn't Naruto berate Itachi for it blah blah blah... XD Huh, but they did bring up an interesting question, can Kabuto dispell the jutsu used to raise Itachi?

You know, the first time I came across one of those kind of Sentinel fics, it was being recommended for an asexual comm. My response was pretty much, "Damn, but that's the rapiest supposedly asexual fic I have ever seen." Because of course it was the type where even the "good" ~~seme~~Sentinel never bothered asking permission. *eyeroll*

Oh god yes, it's crazy. What gets me the most is that when the guide is all NO NO NO I WILL NOT BOND and then some sentinel is all "but we are destined, i know it" and pins him down and forces a bond on him and then at the end the guide gets back up and he's only a little miffed but it's all okay since he loves his sentinel now. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. this is horrific, but it's never treated as such. Sometimes it's even called fluff. Also I can't believe a smart character like Blair wouldn't realize this is just sped up Stockholm Syndrome, even if he only minded on an intellectual pov since his heart and soul would be all yaybondmateloev. But somehow, no, nothing else matters anymore. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Um... at the risk of being random..... how is fic IKEA-like?

Sex scene is bland, not necessarily openly OOC but with no markers of ICness either so that the characters could be other people since they're doing the exact same thing seen in many other sex scenes. For example blowjob->fingering->penetration (one finger two fingers three fingers PENIS) with little variation brought out by the specific characters' interaction, cliche dialogue if there is any.

Also it doesn't help when the sex scene is there just to be there and no character development or plot happens at ALL during the scene, so that you could take it out without damaging the story any. I mean, if someone wants to add gratuitious sex scenes to their fic, they can, fanservice is a huge part of fandom, it's just that it would help if they were *hot* scenes, you see. XD

Okay, I feel kind of dumb for asking this, but I've run into these Sentinel fics before, and I just have to ask. What exactly is the basis for these fics? Nothing on the disambiguation page for Sentinel on the Wiki seems like it fits, and Sentinel isn't exactly a word that makes for an easy Google. So confused. -.-

It's this TV series. It's the slashiest cop series EVER, I swear. Big macho cop (with a sense of humor!) has problems with his senses, thinks he's going crazy, then meets long-haired enthusiast geeky anthropologist who proceeds to explain that no, he's fine, he's just a throwback to a naturally occuring sort of man (a sentinel, who has five super developed senses. ... and even a bit of a sixth sense. XD woohoo spirit animals.) The cop is then all "you little witchdoctor punk!" and stuff at him but somehow shit happens and when Blair's apartment blows up, Jim is all "okay you can stay at my place ONE WEEK". Three years later he still lives there. The actors are also both very physically affectionate so there are tons of man-hugs and reassuring headpats and looking in each other's eyes as one's hands cup the other's face, etcetera.

Anyway in case you already knew that... this type of AU is derived from a comment from one of the bad guys, who mentions that Blair is Jim's guide, because without him he'd never have learned how to control his senses. So I think there was an AU where the sentinel/guide was a psychic bond pairing, kind of a soulmates deal, where the guide was an empath and used their bond to stabilize the sentinel, and then it really took off in the fandom. And then someone wrote fic where sentinels and guides were more common and were known in the population, and then there was a dystopian AU where the guides were oppressed and kept like slaves because the sentinel was considered super important and it was cruelty to deny them a guide, which isn't very logical but I guess it hit kink buttons liek whoa because now they're everywhere.

I stayed up way too late last night reading "They Have to Take You In", even though I had very little idea what the underlying society was supposed to be. I am now going to be a zombie all day at work, but it was totally worth it~
