So I kind of have a month's lag before the tournament stage of the chuunin exam, and no real plot to stuff in it. But, er. I think the Kyuubi/Akatsuki combo kind of skewed my view of what "plot" means.

There's the potential Gaara scene, which is plot-relevant even though it introduces stuff that'll have to wait until teamwork 4 (oh my god kill me now) to be picked up again. But that's damn short for a chapter, and apart from that I just have vague ideas of of team being cuddly or training or whatnot. I can't decide if that's bad and fillerific and should be cut out (or at best relegated to the sidestory files,) or if people want it? Also, are there issues I should probably bring up during the lag? I'm open to all ~~comers~~ suggestions right now.

Anyway, so far it gives me the feeling it's in Naruto POV, but that can certainly change if better ideas come along.

I'd be willing to read a reallyshort!Gaara chapter. More fluff? Eh, that's seems more side story stuff to me. Naruto POV is good...I really enjoy reading him. Other than that, I have nothing to say!

hrrm yeah, fluff without plot is kinda unnecessary, but I don't want a fic that's too dry either... Difficult. Problem being, injecting plot into cuteness is likely to turn it into angst, which we've had a lot of recently. Mrgh. Maybe I should shoot for bittersweet... *sighflop*

Well I would love to see a scene with Naruto discussing his current er, situation to Gaara, you know, with D=Sasuke and Sakura. Maybe have them go on a shopping excursion or something like that. Maybe have Naruto try and explain it to him.

XD I don't think the shopping is going to happen. And i'm not sure Gaara cares/minds very much about the romance side, though Naruto does certainly care enough to try to explain it anyway even if he didn't ask about it, but there would have to be something to bring it up. Could be funny though, so i'll try to see if I get ideas. Thanks hon ^^

I just love your Gaara and I can just imagine him walking in on them and Naruto struggling to explain, or maybe Gaara making a comment and Naruto misunderstanding him . . .

Uhm, well, my first thought is... if you don't know what goes there, don't write it. Figure out if anything special happens there, sure, but... nothing says they can't have a month 'off camera' as it were... Not every day has to be interesting and packed with stuff. :)
Scenes of training and cuddle fluff can all be sidestories written later when your brain says "I want to write teamwork, but not THAT scene." ;)

I guess it's a bit of a pet peeve of mine when the story never stops at all. and every single day has something zomg exciting gong on in it... most "real" book series have time lapses in the stories, or between novels... it's rarely a matter of 'never stopping'... harry potter is a good example of this actually.. there's always something interesting going on, and as much as you love reading about Harry's fun wizarding classes, it rarely drags out with a play by play of a whole day or whole week. months slip past between one page and the next and the characters continue to grow and exist in that time :)

that said, I *STILL* havn't gotten around to reading teamwork/allofnarutoomg so maybe it'd better suit your story to keep things constantly rolling, but, you know.. Just doing my traditional 2 cents :D

I don't think i'd write every single thing that happens during that one month, but ... i dunno, at least one scene or two to give the feeling that time passed -- but i'm being silly and worrywarty about it, because intellectually I know I could probably achieve the same effect with a couple summarizing paragraphs if I had to. XD;

XD Sometimes people feel better when they're "given permission" to just skip something. :) Whenever someone says "I"m stuck" I say "well come back to it later" :D

your garaa scene might be nifty it it foreshadows for later.... but a nice smooth fade to gray might be awesome too. :)

You could put in a few summarizing paragraphs or even something as simple as "Bob's face is cut!" then" ... Bob fingered the edge of the scab on his face. It was in the annoying itchy mostly healed state, and he was trying so hard not to pick at it, and had been doing pretty good for the most part, over the last month."

I dunno XD jsut don't fall into the trap of "ooh, ideas. I'll just write everything out and holy crap it's been a hundred pages since the last real plot-thing happened O_O" XD

I actually wouldn't mind a "Meanwhile, in Konoha" look at that month, but in my head it basically just consists of Sakura's parents running around prepping for the wedding and people reacting to the invitations.

There's always Naruto's Hi-let's-be-friends way of introducing the characters in the final exam. Again, mostly people reacting to gossip about the Akatsuki, the team's relationship (with each other and with the Kazekage,) Sakura's pregnancy, Kyuubi, etc. Rumors, gossip, and a lot of people poking around to get a look at the team causing all the hullabaloo.

"meanwhile in konoha" is an interesting idea, but nothing plot-relevant is happening so it would be even more worthy of the sidefic files. XD I like the idea, though. I could do a ficlet on Sakura's parents, I think, so long as it's not too long, because then that means I'd have to ~~bullshit~~ research tons of stuff about weddings, and yurgh.

Pffhaha, oh the gossip, got one of those planned, though it's not about them being in a threesome. It's about Sakura being in a shower stall with a naked blonde girl. Woohoo lesbians. XD But hmm! I also like the idea of doing sneaky OC introductions. Will have to see if it's feasible or necessary. I don't want the tournament OCs to do a Team Kunoichi on me and steal the show again. >__>;;

If Naruto's still going to be slightly kyuubi-ified, I'd like to see some ~~crazy random happenstance~~ issues with it. :O

I mean like, iunno, if it's from his pov ~~or not, w/e lols~~, just little everyday details that stand out to him in particular that other people may or may not notice or care about.

Scent marking his ~~pack~~ people?

Territorial urges? As an example I guess - I was somewhat territorial as a child, and though people who've told me this haven't put it that way that's how it stands out to me; when dropped off at daycare (I dont remember what age this was, perhaps around 7-10?), instead of going to greet my friends, or head towards the play set or sandbox or toys or anything, I would walk around the perimeter, trailing my hand along the wall of the building/chainlink-fence/wooden-fence. I wouldn't pause or talk to anyone who approached me or ANYTHING until I had done this first. XD

Unconsciously gouging little furrows in trees/buildings/etc that he frequents?

Seeing in the dark?

Awareness of a wider range of movement in his peripheral?

Colors off (more vivid? dull?)?

Loses balance when preoccupied by something and someone/thing surprises him because for a moment he/his body forgets that he doesn't actually have a tail?

Annoyance with his hair/nails that grow too fast?

Certain smells are suddenly more/less appealing than they used to be, not to mention stronger?

A type of food that he used to like now makes him sick? (like, dogs can't eat chocolate)

Tends to curl up when he sleeps (to hide vulnerable underside) which complicates sleeping arrangements (uncomfortable for his bedmates? burrows in and steals blankets?)

Uhm. Yeah I think I'm out. XD

man, i'd love to do all that, it would be like christmas ;; but he's repressing kyuubi really hardcore right now. though after the gaara meeting it might change, i don't know how i'd bullshit that yet though. hrrm. :/

you could put the gaara fic with the ino fic, thereby clustering the guest pov's together into one chapter. Maybe throw in a super short blurb in someone else's pov too, just to round out the number (what can i say, i like 3). But i how long is a month of filler? like, chapters and chapters or like, one or two chapters? Cuz i think a chapter or two would be fine, especially if stuff is actually going on. If it's chapters and chapters and chapters, maybe put it in a sidefic series. Anything you throw at us we'll eat up, don't worry lol. :)

i also kinda would like to see naruto return to his normal self for a bit. (is this a slot machine? cuz i'm inserting my two cents here.) he's been so off, so fox-naruto for so long it'd be refreshing to have that guy we fell in love with back for a bit, just to show up and prove he still exists :P I bet sasuke and sakura would say the same thing, actually. A little humor and normalness as a breather from all the intense emotions everyone's been through. D: then, of course, back to the drama, action and angst XD you know we love it.

ah, it's not gaara POV, it's naruto POV, he's just interacting with Gaara. (haha, but yeah, if i did an outside POVs chapter i'd want to make it three people too, for thematic reasons XDD *fic snob*) and only one chapter, certainly not more. I think more than one chapter of filler and it would be better not to write anything, it's pointless and irritating to read.

Depends what you mean by normal self, he's going to be thinking about that stuff a while longer, but with what happened in the last scene i posted in LJ he won't be as emo anymore. Still, it's not very believable if suddenly he hits the reset button and he's magically fine either. I'll have to balance it carefully.

Just yesterday I was contacted by a reader who is crazily in love with TMW 1 & 2 and she's asking me insistently why I'm not translating the 3rd part of the saga (I'm waiting for it to be complete first.)
Which made me turn back and read again the two previous fics. Which overwhelmed me with questions and ideas and prompts. XD I don't have any concrete suggestions... but maybe reading part of the chapters of TMW2 could inspire you? If you don't know them by heart already.

To start off, I love your work and a potential Gaara scene would defiently be interesting.

If you're still open to suggestion could there possibly be a Naruto/Gaara hurt/comfort moment? Gaara in the Teamwork universe is still a jinjuriki and with the Kyuubi attack so fresh in mind, Naruto could still need some comfort. While Naruto would definetly get comfort from his team mates-- wouldn't be the same without it :)-- Gaara would be able to understand his situation better, since they're on the same level more (both have an evil baby eating, town/planet destroying demon inside)... I suppose.

Sasuke could possibly get jealous over this bond/moment since he's able to relate to Naruto in most and he wouldn't be able to truly relate to Naruto in this aspect with the curse seal pretty much kaput. Plus he's pretty possesive in nature. Sakura could get jealous over Sasuke, but I kind of imagine her being jealous over Naruto. She's the softer, more emotional one, and I'd imagine that she would feel left out.

Hurt/comfort between naruto and gaara? HMMMMM. *ponderponderponder* that does sound interesting, i'll have to see if it comes up. Am planning to write them a scene now, but it's more like i have a few topics for them to discuss and have no clue what they'll actually say about it. XD; it's likely they'll discuss shuukaku and kyuubi themselves, because the other topic is akatsuki, it makes sense the conversation would drift that way.

as for sasuke=>gaara jealousy, there's some in the (not yet written) fic that happens between teamwork 2 and 3, and i'm not sure but I think it'll get sort of resolved there, so it would be going backward to give him jealous moments again, I think. Will have to go back and read my notes.

I really don't mind what you write, as long as you want to write it, (not that you write stuff you don't want to- nvmd) but if you are searching for ideas, what about having the Gaara thing, (eek, Gaara! *fangirl) and maybe Sakura and Temari hanging out (wait, is Temari there? poo, I can't remember) and some random!kunoichi being all bold and talking about the shower gossip?

I already have the scene where Sakura hears about the rumor, it's just a bit spoilerific to explain everything about it. But HMM. I didn't think about having Temari there as they talk about it. That would possibly make it even funnier. *cackles*

I think the training stuff and bonding/support-each-other things doesn't count as filler fics in this case! Because well, they've just had a bombshell dropped on them, y'know, so they'll still be in a bit of a frowny mood, I think. Like "we haz to train y'all bcuz Sasuke lurves his bro and we lurves him and we don't want to make him cry no more". ~~Damn I'm getting affected by those darned lulzcatz. @_@~~

Wait, are Sasuke and Sakura getting married (wtf, I just wrote Naruto and Sakura and realized I had no idea where that came from, except that I want them all to be married legally) during that time, or after the last part of the Chuunin exam? At first I thought it was after the exam, but now I'm wondering if beforehand makes sense... just a thought.

After the chuunin exam, but it takes time to prepare and they want to get married as soon as possible after that. They kind of played around with the thought of eloping during the one month lag though.

How about Ino latching onto Naruto about the whole 'sex with Sakura AND Sasuke' thing?

... ahaha, that's certainly a possibility. Though Ino-pouncing is also planned during the tournament itself, so maybe I should gather it all together.. Hrrm.

The only thing I can think of is that I'd like to see Sasuke develop his chidori more. On the boat he was all for making a ball of it, which made me thing you were working towards his spread out chidori thing he used way back in the day. It'd be good to see him picking up the path to the techniques he learned/developed with Orochimaru.

Oh - also, what ever happened to his cursed seal? I can't remember if it's still there or not. (I know, I should re read but there's so MUCH now...) If it is still there, he's probably resolved not to use it, but surely the temptation is niggling away, especially with their focus really being "must get stronger so we can protect our selves from baby-killing-Itachi/Naruto-stealing-akatsuki"? If it IS still there, I kind of think sasuke would be sorely tempted to use it, although you're kind of developing him past that? Love is a greater motivator than hate, and all that.

I think it would be kind of nice to see something from Kakashi as well maybe? Although I guess you kind of got the whole outside perspective thing from Ino (which was lovely by the way.)

You've got a big open spot for foreshadowing and tension building, time to get the mood all tense for the tournaments. Also a litte time to thread in a couple of OCs/other competitors, cause I love seeing the guys react to your OCs, that's ALWAYS fun. I'd also like to find out what happened to team kunoichi (they were SO AWESOME).

Aha, good idea about the chidori (and rasengan. XD they were both working on a superior class of jutsu by then) I always wanted to mention them progressing on that. Problem being what else could happen, because just watching them train would be annoying... hmmm. Maybe pregnancy things as well. Hm hm hm.

Sasuke's curse seal is sadly dead, because when I started on Teamwork we still didn't know it worked due to a Juugo enzyme (the hell kishi XD) so I had it tied to Orochimaru and since he's dead, well. He could certainly have a little moment of regret about it.

Kakashi POV, you mean? Well. There's an omake planned but I'm not sure that counts much. XD Hrrm, he's hard to write.

yay! love for the OCs! *dances the dance of yay* ... There's about twelve of them and they all already have a basic personality and looks, oh man, I'm addicted to OC-making. XD I'm not sure how much I want to develop them, though, Zenko and Kon are already going to take up some spotlight... hm. Also, team seven being protected due to the akatsuki attack, i'm not sure how much they'll be allowed to hang out with strangers from other villages. Could certainly happen anyway though. *ponderyponder*

On that note about their training, Sasuke still has the cat summons scroll. He could be talking with Kakashi about learning to summon them. The whole Naruto going foxy and wanting to go after the cats. Gaara helping Naruto with training and Sakura ans Sasuke working on the genjutsu with him. I am interested in hearing more about how Kon was able to summon Kyuubi too. Oh and how far along in Sakura? Ok I am out of idea throwing ideas, but I really like the training, developing the techniques too. Ok, I am done blathering.
