[livejournal.com profile] askerian: goodgood ... though. XD i was alone today so of course i had a moment where things creaked alarmingly
[livejournal.com profile] askerian: so of course that meant i had to check the whole apartment out, holding a kitchen knife.
[livejournal.com profile] askerian: turned out there were two windows open and the wind was getting in. -___-;;; orz
[livejournal.com profile] sarolynne: ....XD
[livejournal.com profile] askerian: did i tell you yet how i hate ground floor apartments.
[livejournal.com profile] askerian: because.
[livejournal.com profile] askerian: you know.
[livejournal.com profile] sarolynne: XD
[livejournal.com profile] sarolynne: I think you've mentioned it, yes.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one who does that.

I totally hear you on the first-floor home-alone nerves. Also a single person, single story house, lived in a first floor apartment with an enormous glass patio door before that -- there's a reason I keep the fist-sized dowel rod aka junior baseball bat for spring window-opening right beside my bed instead of in the windowsill like the others. It's for thumping whoever breaks in. ...and who isn't the cat banging around chasing a moth at 3:30 AM grargh.

I think I have you beat. My sword collection is on the walls in my bedroom.

Hello Mr Robber, let me show you my sharppointystabbythings!

Well my first night alone at the gas station I work at I discovered there's a ghost in the wall that only kicks when no one else is around.

Also when I'm home alone, I put things in front of the windows like squeaky dog toys and the fan and what not, hopefully to make some curious entrant trip up. I haven't had a chance to test it yet, though, so...I don't know if it works but it makes me feel better lol

That must have been scary, but the conversation is priceless.
