So Jo and Monique helped me with this list, but I'm not sure if we're forgetting people there... Also once i'm done I'll have to separate the people invited to the ceremony and the people invited to the meal and party afterwards! But, that can wait. >__>;;

invite list:

Sakura: Yukihiro (dad), Hana (mom), Aunt, cousin Yumeko, Yume's two brothers; Ino, Ino's parents; Lee; couple friends from the academy or civilians; Shizune (+ a date? Hmmmm does she even date. Idk.)

Sasuke: Kakashi (naruto and sakura let him have this one. XD), police detective guy.

Naruto: Iruka, Neji, Hinata, Kiba, Shikamaru, Chouji, Tenten (+ boyfriend), Shino. (invites Gaara but he can't come.) Konohamaru & his teammates,

All: Gai-sensei + date (they don't think he'd ACTUALLY bring one -- then he brings Anko. XD), Kurenai & Asuma & their kid, Tsunade (doesn't come as the hokage, otherwise ZOMGfavoritism), Jiraiya...

Political: The two hokage's advisor elders(? Idk.) Hiashi & Hyuuga elder of his choice (XD), Aburame Shibi & wife, Nara Shikaku & wife, Chouza Akimichi & wife (maybe he's widowed? Yeah, I think he shall be >.>), Inuzuka Tsume + her daughter Hana (+ hana's date?), Kagami clan head? (they'd debate on that one too because dude he's an asshole and also not as important as he thinks he is) he brings his heir and her date, plus his two other kids; couple other important clan heads, Old Uchiha allies & wives and kids, Temari, as Gaara's representative? ...

Why the hell not?: Chouji's cousins (they're fun! They'll make it less stuffy!), Sai, Tenzou (yamato), Kigane + her teammates (mess re: people assuming Kigane is Naruto's date. not sure Jin would come. Beni would bring her neighbor as a date or pretend to be Kigane's), Inoru (+ Inoru's mom? So she can socialize with her brother (Ino's dad) in controlled environment. Ino would ask.), Hanabi, Akamaru, Kuromaru, Hana's three dogs, Tonton (XD;; they argue about that one because wtf).

¤ One of the people Sasuke invites is that old police guy who used to work with his dad who interviewed them after the burning house incident. ((to justify that, write a sidefic where sasuke actually interacts with him, because it wouldn't be a political invitation, it would be a personal one))

I was kinda thinking he'd have to stay with Gaara as a bodyguard, but if Temari is the official envoy, maybe she's got to have a bodyguard too. That or Naruto just sees him in the street and he's all "oh hey, have an invite." because I don't know which of them would think to invite him otherwise... Hmm.

I would think they would invite him out of politeness, because inviting two siblings but not the third would be a bit odd.

Other than that, I think your list is good!

I was smiling like a madwoman reading through all this.... then I hit the comment about scent marking Akamaru's invitation and lost control of the laughter...

Well, it's sasuke and sakura who technically get hitched, but yes, it's important to naruto too. Besides they were close to all three of them.

of course it is, silly XD but naruto's not officially getting married. he's the best man, though. (they might have a private, personal ceremony later for all three of them, i dunno. the marriage itself is more of an alliance.)

Also, there should be a scene in which Kyuubi complains that he doesn't get to invite anyone, and is roundly chewed out by Sakura for even thinking of inviting other giant bloodthirsty mystical creatures, or whatever he would think is appropriate and/or interesting.

As for Kyuubi, that would make a good omake. I think at that point he'd probably still be in the doghouse and sulking about it, though. XD;

um....would it be bad taste/not approprite to send invites to the people they met in the chuunin exams? that weren't from Konoha? like the grass team and the kiddies + who ever else they make friendly with that we haven't met yet?

considering one of the grass team kind of died after clashing with them and the kiddies are way too young and don't come from a country that's all that close with konoha, I don't think they'd say yes anyway. (anyway they wouldn't send one to the summon team.)

Who else, hmmmmmmm. *ponderponder* Hanabi's team is already listed... Hmm. i dunno, i don't think they'd invite people from other ninja villages, it would be a security nightmare. gaara and his siblings are a special case there, I think.

What about some people from the movies? There was one movie about an actress in snow country, wasn't there? I didn't really watch them so I'm fuzzy on details, but I seem to remember it being yet another case of "Naruto gets a posse and shows some people The Light(tm)."

Nah, I can't figure out a way to make them fit into the series timeline or universe, so in teamwork the movies haven't happened. ^^;

Quick note, I think that if you're going Japanese-style traditional, the ceremony is pretty strictly family-only. But you can argue for Westernized since the society has a lot of obvious modern Western influence -- clothes, buildings, furniture, class-blind education.
