I'm prodding at Teamwork, but since it's mostly Sasuke hanging out with Team Summons it fails to give me my dose of NaruSasuSaku love.

I'd love fic recs, or links to new artsies, or long-ass posts of why exactly you -- yes, YOU PERSONALLY, give me your own reasons!!! -- love/like/lust the OT3. Or even tiny silly things! Any of you guys in a RP where it's happening/happened? Tell me about it! COME FANGIRL WITH ME.

Also accepted within are raves on Team Seven + Sai, Kakashi, and Yamato. ... And Hinata. Ino? I wonder how Ino would mesh with the three or them. Gaara? Itachi?




You can all laugh at me but this burst of fangirly glee was prompted by a very silly teenyboppy song which I don't even think fits all that well! It's -- well. Here's one of the AMVs I found with it. It's a popular-ish song, but so far I haven't liked any of the AMVs; either they're full of stills and fanart or they're made up of early part 1 scenes, which misses out on a lot of awesome material. Also the only one I found that was technically good, and even excellent, was also incomplete. Boohoo.

Well, I did finish Documenting, which I'm not sure you've seen?

The thing I love about Team 7 is that they're very much complimentary... I love the idea that at some point, they'd make a successful threesome of it. I really wish there was more emphases of their Slug=>Snake=>Toad=>Slug power angle.

... They so wouldn't be jealous of each other! I man, Naruto isn't very jealous at all. ... Granted, I can see Sasuke being a total sulky bitch, but thankfully enough it would be REALLY HARD for him not to realize they're both crazy about him. The biggest problem would be Sakura, who might end up feeling like they just keep her around to grease the wheels, so to speak.

I think my interest in Team Seven as ot3 kind of stemmed from my interest in Team Seven itself, and my ongoing desire for it to just work out, dammit! between the three of them. Because they are all a really big part of each others lives and stories, and the Snake-Slug-Toad dynamic seems to have always been some kind of tragic. I just want them all to be bff's again like we know that they can be!

And also because it's sexy.

I've yet to get an actual team7 relationship in any of my rps, but I have to admit that playing with Naruto and Sasuke is my favorite part of playing Sakura. \o/

I mean, a friend of mine had a super fantastic theory involving the sharingan and the byakugan and how they were related and Sasuke adopting Naruto into the clan and him 'marrying' HInata so that they could have a branch family (With Naruto being the head of the Branch family) so they could carefully breed the sharingan back into existence without having to inbreed... and a really cool idea for how the dynamics of the threesome would include hinata and how her relationship with them developed and so on with everyone.

Team 7 should be together because Sakura is awesome, Naruto is awesome, and Sasuke is awesome. Therefore, a threesome involving those characters is awesome cubed. Since an increase in awesome produces an increase in squee, and one main goal of fannish life is to increase squee, we should all support the Team 7 OT3.

It's only logical. ;-)

Lurker here! I can't help but comment, though, since the the Team 7 dynamic is what makes the series for me.

Not that I don't like other pairings, the right writer could probably sell any pairing to me, but I always felt like the strength of the bond between Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura is, to a point, unbreakable. I know that all the parallels between the Sannin gen point to misery, but even then they acknowledge that they cant forget each other, no matter where their ambitions take them.

But getting back to Team 7, the key is that they fit. I love reading about them because different authors are able to write them differently, tweak their reactions and personalities, and yet I still find it works because there is balance between them... which is just addictive when you add it to the tempers of the three!

“You don’t need to do that, you know…” sighed Sakura, her cold hands gently cradling her large, warm stomach. “Just ‘cause I’m the size of a house-”

“-Hardly, Sakura-chan.” scoffed Naruto loudly, rolling his eyes and not even bothering to stop sharpening her varied and vast weapons collection. Sasuke didn’t deign her comment with a response, and instead focused on the gloves he was massaging oil into for the third time since breakfast.

Before Sakura could respond, Hinata walked quickly onto the deck from their kitchen, sliding the door shut behind her effortlessly and quietly. Following her was a warm, but bitter scent – probably more of Sakura-chan’s new favorite dango, the recipe developed by Hinata specifically for Sakura’s changing palate.

“Sakura-chan,” started Hinata, her voice soft and quiet, in perfect harmony with the peaceful summer afternoon they were enjoying, “I made some more tea…no sugar, as usual.” She blushed as she passed out teacups, each one full and steaming, two bitter and strong – another change for Sakura.

Sakura smiled, but struggled and groaned as she moved into a more upright sitting position. Hinata flustered for a moment, unsure of where to put the brimming cups of bitter tea – and was saved as Sasuke seemed to appear beside their pregnant wife, as if he’d been there all along, to assist her silently. Naruto chuckled as he took the two cups from Hinata’s hands, his own beside Sasuke’s on the deck, and with his free hand ushered her into the seat beside the now relatively comfortable Sakura. Handing her back one cup he said, “Thank you very much Hinata-chan” and kissed her quickly on one bright red cheek before turning to the flushed, pouting face of Sakura and handing her the other cup.

“Don’t laugh,” pouted Sakura, as she slowly sipped the hot tea. “And, yes, thank you Hinata-chan. But, you know, you don’t have to drink it this way if-”

“Ah! Um, no, Sakura-chan…I prefer it this way now,” interrupted Hinata, quickly drinking the bitter liquid as if to prove her statement. Naruto laughed again, and Sasuke hit him upside the head while retrieving his cup and taking a sip of his tea. Hinata refused to add sugar to her own tea as long as Sakura couldn’t stomach it, but she still sweetened the boys to their liking.

Sakura sighed, but smiled, shaking her head slowly, “You’re all being really wonderful about this, but I’m pregnant, not handicapped.” She sounded only slightly frustrated – after all, she couldn’t help feeling overwhelmed by all the changes and consideration she’d been facing in such a short period of time; even if she was very grateful and very happy. “I deal with pregnant women all the time – I promise they won’t shatter if they have to do things for themselves.” She gave her spouses a pointed look, but knew she may as well be talking to the large, old tree in their yard – she had a better chance of getting through to it anyway.

“Of course, Sakura.” Sasuke’s voice was smooth and assuring, but he hid a smirk behind his teacup, even while Naruto’s face split into a broad grin and Hinata nodded reassuringly (AKA earnestly listening but completely dismissively) beside her.

Why did she bother?

At least Kakashi wasn’t home – she didn’t think she could take the over-protective, almost-condescension he’d been smothering her with for the last two weeks of her pregnancy leave. As if it wasn’t bad enough she wasn’t allowed to work, now she was lucky if she could take a walk without someone else’s input!

Ino said she was crazy and should just enjoy it – “You’re a greedy ass anyway, forehead, you might as well be a lazy one too!” she taunted on the last lunch date Sakura had been on since she was all but tied to her house.

Hum, guess I got bored of the old romantic triangle where one would have to be left out in the end. Love is more complicated than that, it can't always fit into a social cliche like boy+girl=happy.
Especially with the emotional trauma these three are packing. Naruto and Sasuke are starved for affection, each in their own way, and Sakura feels the need to be needed, to be important to people. It just seems to fit. They are killers, living in a world where death is a constant threat, so it seems sort of ridiculous that they would be stuck on things like social conventions when it comes to their personal lives. When you could die tomorrow, you'll take whatever pleasure you can get today.
The way I see it, Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura would be more likely to stay single and keep their friendship than to form a couple inside the team and basically leave one person out of the relationship. Each of them feels with equal intensity towards the other two. I doubt the nature of these feelings is radically different, really.
