-Current Naruto arc: Well, it was coming! The "Naruto is Yondaime Bis + Toad Sage." It's only been foreshadowed since the start. Now there's only the Kyuubi godmode to add to the list. I find myself reading more by habit and curiosity to see how it ends than because it delights me like it used to; Naruto and his yearmates were more loveable when they were kids struggling to make sense of this cruel word than now that they're used to it ~~and kishi spends less time on the characters and more on the events~~. At the same time it's still somewhat nice ~~as long as I don't think too hard about Tsunade and Sakura both getting to do one token thing before being saved by big macho-man hero Naruto. i knew it was a boy manga but damn~~, but auuuugh team seven reunionnnnnnnn. Also, Hyuuga thinnnngs. I want. Damn you kishi.

Pain bores the hell out of me. But then again Madara isn't much better despite his crueler mindset (better than bland "oh, I'm a god, that's why."); the fact that he's STILL butthurt about how Konoha didn't loev and respect him some dozen centuries ago is countering the funny Tobiness and the devious cruelty. The only villain i still appreciate the villainy of, atm, is Danzou... but then again so far he's been mostly bastardly from the shadows; maybe he'll be lame when he takes center stage. T__T

-Well. Crunchyroll doesn't allow me to view naruto episodes online either. I'm kinda fucked. Anyone know another Naruto sub group that will continue distributing it?

This started as a random uninspired sketch and... pretty much stayed a random uninspired sketch. Except I was hit by the LETS FIDDLE WITH THE COLORS UNTIL MY EYES BURN car. At some point the picture was hot pink with deep blue lineart. At some other it was green and orange. Yes really, aren't you glad I changed the color scheme to red and gold.

Then I was hit by the O HAI SPLATTER-PATTERNED BRUSHES truck, and the burn-and-dodge-until-it-shines bus, and... Well. here we are, and I can't even tell what color it really is in the end because I've stared at it too long and now everything looks weird.

I kinda love it. Mm, messy linearts.

I hate perspective btw.

Note to self: PRACTICE DRAWING SHOES. The green one would be awesome if that heel was done right, but it's just a mess. DX

I'm in the process of making an illustration for my Bleach fic "The Closet" -- but it's taking SO LONG and I'm impatient, so I took out part of the lineart and cell-shaded it.

I stopped reading Naruto a little before the summer started in May last year. It was boring and lost most hope then. I can't even bare to look at it anymore. The first part was gorgeously done, and it holds a special place in my heart.

That's actually not hard! :3 If you have Photoshop CS2 or before, you can use ImageReady (which comes packaged with PS). Just make a separate layer for each different set of text you want... hm. It might be easier with pictures. I can whip you up a quick tutorial. :3 I'll comment again when I've got it down~ Though I'm using PSCS3, so it'll look slightly different.

I only have photoshop 7, no frills; i don't have the space to install anything else and a friend let me borrow the installation cd anyway. ;___;

Seven has ImageReady! It installs simultaneously with PS, though half the time you won't even notice unless you're looking for it. :3

but unless I'm remembering way wrong I specifically didn't install it/uninstalled it because 7 took up too much space already and I wasn't using it anyway. ;_; and I did a search for the program on my computer and nothing turned up. don't think i have it. .__.

Microsoft GIF Animator. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_GIF_Animator) There's a download link there too. Even though I have the full version of Photoshop, all my animated icons were made in GIF Animator because I found it a lot easier to handle. :3 Plus it's tiiiiiiiny - just 1 meg; it almost fits on a floppy!

...actually I kind of take that back. I cropped the layers and did the coloring and anything else that took art stuff in Photoshop -- but the assembly and timing I did in GIF Animator. :3

I am sorta in between with the new chapters, cause I love Pein, but I was seriously pissed when Naruto just pushed Tsunade out of the way. I am just like JEEZ let Tsunade die! That was Sakura can have some character development you promised that forever ago and it hasnt happened! -fumes- (and we will ignore my totally skewed logic, but hopefully you see my point)

I stopped reading when I was spending every spare moment on NaNo, and I find I don't miss it that much. Naruto just kept getting farther and farther into god-mode. -_-; And he doesn't even seem to be working on it, not all that much. It's just "la-la, this is hard, yay I did it" - none of the ingenuity and innovation we got back when he was a kid. Sadness...

I'm still reading, but mainly because I want the ending and some reconciliation with Sasuke. Unfortunately, I've read too many manga lately that are awesome and good at the beginning, then start to go a little downhill... and then end abruptly in the worst way possible. If Naruto joins the ranks of these manga? THERE WILL BE BLOOD IN THE STREETS or something D:

Loving the art, as always. Especially the first one - Sakura looks 'teh awesome', to use the slang the kids use nowadays. I dig Sasuke's hair (kinda looks like gold highlights) in the background.

Vegeta, too. Dragonball Z, that's a nice little slice of nostalgia there. Even if I was usually in Yamcha or Goku's corner, you had to appreciate the pink-shirt badass.

Looking forward to that The Closet pic - makes me want to read the fic over again.

I'm with you on this storyarc. I think there's something awesome coming, but its just been nonstop "pain randomly killing unimportant characters because he's a jerk". The storyline has just been crawling by...the weeks pass, and they feel like years and decades the story is so slow.

If this arc doesn't end soon, its going to feel like we've had a 1000 years of pain.

My friend and I were only using the demo version of Babarosa Gif Animator and were able to create short animated music clips by combining the large GIF files and music tracks in windows movie maker. Babarosa was quick and simple to use, the quality can get a bit grainy at larger sizes; but all up I found it a great program to first start off with.
