Real life stuff...

Leaving on vacation tomorrow morning for a week or two. My parents planned for two, but they'll get bored and come back early, I bet. Personally I planned on a week, since while I love the beach and taking walk and stuff, I have sucky stamina and I can't do that all day for fourteen days. All the new books I have are ebooks and I have no laptop. I'm going to be so bored. Woe and misery and all that jazz.

... Well, I planned on one week before I heard that my oh so delightful grandmother is coming with us. As in the several hours car trip will be done with her sharing the backseat with me ( NO ESCAPE D: ), she'll stay in our caravan, boss around my mother, etcetera. And there are no other family members to shove her at this time around.

*braces self for "when are you getting married and giving me great-grandchildren", "blahblah if I were you", "discreet" enquiries about whether I'm actually a lesbian, and polite, cultured, disdainful (SO much better than hateful) racism*

Yeah, if I'm back here in three days, don't be too surprised.


And when my parents come back, we're moving to the new apartment. Nuuuu. T^T Oh well, THAT I'll survive.




And to compensate for my whining, I posted the teamwork chapter on ffnet. But thanks to the superawesome proanon I managed to rewrite the latest Naruto POV so that it doesn't suck quite as much (though it's still, hm, I don't know, no issues in itself but I'm not sure about how well it meshes with the following chapter BUT I CAN REWRITE THAT LATER STOP WHINING I SAID OMG >:( ) So, yeah, latest Naruto POV scene if you want to take a look. It's nothing hugely important to the plot, but I smoothed out some snags and added some Naruto fretting about whether Sasuke liiiikes him and stuff. XD;;

Try to have some fun on your vacation, and don't let your grandmother get to you. If nothing else, just keep counting the days until you can get away. ^^

I used to have relatives like that. Technically I still do. But when I called my cousin a bitch to her face she took the hint. I don't really see that side of my family anymore. Wonder why. I just don't have patience for the people I don't like, what can I say.

You have my sympathies. My mother finally gave up the hints for grandchildren a couple years ago. I guess all it took was an idiot President getting us into every war he could think of, a good hard look at the state of the world, and acknowledgment that the mid-30s is not a good age to have a first baby.

My saying that I cannot abide children for twenty years may have worn her down some, maybe, she quit the "but it's different when they're your own!" thing at least.
