I want to write Gundam Wing things.

But the Newtypes fic is stuck. And I tried poking at Heero's Week (!! gasp !!) but it's too cracky and porny for me at the moment.

But I still want to write GW things.

First three prompts, gimme two-three gundam wing characters (not necessarily a pairing) and maybe a mood or prompt or quote or something, and I'll try writing a little drabble. Or at the very least a line or two. *tells self it's okay if the story isn't developed enough to work right, it's the point argh*

Anyway. Fair warning, I don't write Ozzies, and I'll be pretty shaky with any of the old guys. Anyone want to suggest something?

Duo / Wufei / Troa -- "All Crows everywhere are equally black."

"All crows everywhere are equally black," Duo said in a slow, heavily meaningful tone.

Trowa lifted the magazine from his face and craned his neck to look at Duo upside-down. "... Is it 'state the obvious' day?"

"Aw come on, it's a saying. It's meaningful!"

Wufei snorted and looked up from his crosswords puzzle. "Meaningful for who?"

"For us!"

"Huh. Are we supposed to compare ourselves to carrion eaters now?"

Duo threw Wufei a dark glare. "I thought you were the philosophical one."

Wufei pushed up his glasses and arched an eyebrow. "I find fortune cookies offer little actual wisdom."

"Aren't you supposed to add 'in bed' at the end of those?" Trowa mused, a leg swinging over the back of the couch. "'All crows are equally black... In bed.' ... Huh. Someone forgot to change the lightbulb."

Duo snickered before he remembered to be annoyed. "Hey, don't derail the subject, clown-boy."

"Fine." Wufei narrowed his eyes. "The only meaning that can possibly be extracted from that sentence is the obvious one, and even then it's wrong because albinos creatures exist in every species. As for the rest, it is so vague as to be relevant to just about anything and therefore is about as meaningful as the water mark on my ceiling. The one that looks like a cow."

"Mushroom," Duo objected. "It looks like a mushroom."

"Then the mushrooms you've seen were mutated," Wufei countered archly.

Duo paused. "... Wouldn't surprise me."

"I always thought it looked like a rorschach inkblot, actually."

"Trowa, stop derailing the conversation."

Trowa gave Duo a look that somehow meant 'like you can talk, mushroom boy.'

Wufei rolled his eyes briefly. "If it refers to us, it doesn't work. Apart from the fact that we're all pilots, the five of us have absolutely nothing in common. Not the way we dress, not our ideology, not our origins, not even our hair color. And if it wasn't applied to a distinct situation, then it's inane enough as to be utterly meaningless."

Duo sighed loudly. "Okay, okay, fine. What do you think about this one? 'All black crows are everywhere. Equal shoe.'"

Trowa sat up on the couch, and turned around to squint through the kitchen door. "... Duo, leave the fridge magnets alone."

Duo just grinned.
