I am in a RARR mood. Mostly it's because I cannot sleep.
First there was thunder in the night. Which meant I could not sleep. And then there was RPing with Saro-love, which meant I REALLY couldn't sleep. (go narufoxy/sasukitty go ♥)
And then there was the emo bit with the previous post which meant I ... i'm not sure if I wasn't able to sleep because i was busy crying or if I was crying because I hadn't slept yet. Or both. I think i'd have felt touched anyway, but yeah.
And then there was a retarded plagiarist, and OMG STOP BEING FRENCH YOU STUPID &%$*@+§. rarr. Hello, children~ Today, I will discuss an all-too-common pitfall : "Your favorite character is not you."
Of course, while, technically, a good writer should be able to write many kinds of characters well, for a beginning writer, it's often easier to write people you can identify with. Sadly, quite a few new writers push the identification a little farther than it should go, and sorely need to be reminded that "honey, just because YOU would hate being treated like X by Y, doesn't mean that Z hates it."
A particular example of this situation is more commonly referred to as "AAAAHHHHH NARUTO DOESN'T HATE SASUKE AND SAKURA WHAT MANGA ARE YOU READING IS IT THE RETARD EDITION OR WHAT."

So there was this idiot, who spammed me with links to "a funny parody" that had Naruto murdering his two best friends, Sasuke and Sakura. Apparently "Well they're horrible to him and even Naruto has a breaking point."
It's a common attitude in the fandom, though thankfully both hate-ons aren't often present in the same person at once. But it's everywhere.
They're horrible, from what I gathered, because Sakura hits Naruto and doesn't love him back (or not openly enough), instead preferring *gasp* Naruto's rival! that loathsome Sasuke-bastard (She obviously chose to love Sasuke just to get back at Naruto, and not because she, say, JUST HAPPENED TO LOVE SASUKE.), and Sasuke didn't put Naruto's and Sakura's wants and desires before his own duty to his clan.
I've got a breaking point too. Here it is. -> . Ain't it cute. I think I'll call it George.
-I'm sick and tired of "Naruto hates Sakura for being a whore because she doesn't put Naruto's crush on her (that he has never clearly expressed to her in a "hey, I'm dead serious about loving you" manner, only in a goofy manner which she could dismiss without feeling guilty) before her own crazy obsession for Sasuke." Everyone knows that when it's a girl, it's just a silly crush that she should get over, but when it's boy, it's true love and she's deliberately being cruel for not throwing her panties at him!
Naruto obviously hates her for it, which is why he always comes back for more. "=^O^= HAYYY SAKURA-CHAN~ GO ON A DATE WITH ME PLZ" is apparently a secret code for "I hope you die of syphilis for spurning me."
Naruto isn't jealous. If the Sasuke-wakes-up scene in the hospital and "promise of a lifetime" didn't prove that he knew Sakura loved Sasuke and didn't mind, I don't know what the hell will. He likes her, perhaps even loves her. Presumably, he would love being loved back. I mean, that would still be Earth logic. But he will accept her loving Sasuke best, as long as she's still his friend too. He's ready to settle for it. He's not an irrationally jealous, possessive asshole, so stop pushing YOUR assholish possessiveness on him. Just... Stop.

Sakura thought Naruto was a retard at first -- well guess what, he acted like one. He embarrassed her in front of the other girls (and if you remember being twelve you will remember that this seriously DESERVES DEATH.), tried to steal her first kiss with Sasuke, and was generally a noisy, clingy brat. OMG she said an unfair, thoughtlessly cruel comment once (not even where Naruto could overhear it!) -- guess what, she was a normal 12 year old kid who'd never had anything bad happen in her life and had no way of knowing what it meant. She was snapped at, realized she'd been a bitch, and never did it again. She started really respecting Naruto's strength at around episode 28, even telling the guy she loves that he was acting like a coward compared to Naruto.
You still think she was a gossipy bitch? Okay. You still think she's a bully? Okay.

I hate that DA and Y! tend to side with plagarists rather than the people that are getting fucked over.
I also hate people utterly and destroying the canon of a series so much that it might as well just be other characters because they've mauled things so much.
