This isn't shaping up to be a great day so far.
-I leave for Paris at four PM, will be up until nine PM, and I took a nap that lasted long enough to reset my day as starting at midnight. GodDAMNit.
---Would pack right now but the backpacks are in my parents' room.
---Would love to take a cold bath because omg too warm in here but water pipes = noisy and did I mention it's two AM.
-For once CFUD fails at entertaining me. Wait, no. I love the new Anko, she's awesome, and of course Lee is still squishable and Neji and Itachi ♥ and eee baby!Naruto. And I want Mal's babies, and the world needs more River-and-Del-ness. And Spike! Woohoo. But nnngh.
---Sure it would be awful for Naruto and Sakura to lose Sasuke now, and even more to get a new, amnesiac!Sasuke (especially if he's up to date on canon), but the way he never really gets involved anymore even when he does pop up anyway... *sad* That's too bad, because he's so painfully IC when he is around.
---It's natural to want your character to come across as a good and smart and friendly person. But sometimes that turns them into someone that's unrecognizable as canon. I think it's probably happened before, but not to characters I knew and liked in their canon.
I don't like how some people have to play a character, but BETTER. IE, Kodachi. She has Noticed Her Faults and is Striving To Be A Better Person and also happens to be So Much Smarter And Less Delusional than her brother. Also, Very Friendly And Not Superior And Condescending Anymore. NNGH. How is that Kodachi again. Kodachi is a very cracktastic, fairly two-dimensional character. She's not well-rounded; she's reduced to a few totally over-the-top sets of behavior. She's got a few good sides, but she's also pretty crazy; I'm not seeing any of that in the RP.
I understand wanting your characters to grow in camp, but Kodachi is a pretty static character, from what I recall of Ranma. She doesn't evolve all that much in canon. If a character is to grow and change in Camp, the mun should work on it over a few weeks or months, not just decide that the character arrives in camp, has a couple of wacky adventures of the kind that wouldn't trouble her much in canon, and then, BAM! she's enlightened.
Bah, I won't bug people about it, because so long as they have fun then that's what counts. I'll just have to avoid her threads. =_=
