(teamwork) *tears hair out*

WHY DOES THIS TEAMWORK SCENE SUCK. WHY. WHY DOESN'T IT WANT ME TO WRITE IT. WHY DO I HAVE TO PULL OUT EVERY WORD WITH PINCERS, ONE BY ONE. WHY DOES IT SOUND STILTED AND BORING AND EMPTY.

ARGH.

I will bite the first person to tell me to just let it rest and wait to get inspired. I've waited a month now, and it isn't working. If I just sit on my ass and do nothing, I'll die of old age before I get it done.

Other people can write even without the divine touch of the "ZOMG MUST NOTE THAT DOWN QUICK" faerie. I should try that too. I can sit down and make myself write instead of waiting to be swamped by the bunnies; I've done it before. So AUGH to myself.

whyyyy did i think it was a good idea to write that goddamn dinner scene, whyyyyyyyyyy.

God, I will be so happy once Naruto's chapter is done. End of Teamwork 2!

I'll be able to write a couple of one-shots to adress a few issues (such as Naruto with the Inuzuka, the "hay by the way we're a thresome" with the other Rookie Nine, Sakura training with Tsunade, and stuff like that) before my next ZOMG PLOT (aka, the chuunin exam) which will require another multiparter. And i'm thinking that the one-shots don't even really need to be written in order. Muahahahaha. *__*

... Say... Gaara's going to be at the Chuunin exam, right? if he's the Kazekage even in the Teamwork universe... *.*; *ponderponderponder*

... of course if I ever want to arrive there one day, I need to fucking get that part DONE AND OVER WITH. *snarl*

Well it could certainly be much worse. At least you don't have an agent breathing down your neck about finishing a novel, doing publicity shit, figuring out if your contract with the publisher is going to be extended...

But w00t for being able to finish it, even if it's only two words a day.

Since I don't know exactly how the scene's supposed to go, this might not work, but if it's really becoming that difficult for you to write, could you just put it into a sort of retrospective explication? Like, don't throw out the stuff you have leading up to it, but once they arrive at the house, just have a few paragraphs describing how things went rather than writing the whole scene out?

It's so easy to start stories, and so fucking goddamn HARD to finish them. I weep tears of sympathy all over you not that it will help the words flow again.

You know what I do when I want to write? I break out prompts. Like, I'll think of sentences I REALLY want to include, and work around them. I know it's not like...I don't know, professional or anbything...but it seems to work with me.

Or...I play out the scene in my head, no words, just watching the scene. It's kind of like watching a movie in your head and then transcribing it.

I'm glad I'm so coherent that all of that made sense and I didn't have any typos or anything like that.

Gah, I hate it when that happens. Do you have anyone on a chat program you can throw random lines at and ask them for help with? Sometimes that gets my brain cells going. Or bullet points.

But yeah, it's really hard to break through that kind of block. *offers hugs*

You say: "I will bite the first person to tell me to just let it rest and wait to get inspired."

I say: "Let it rest and wait to get inspired."

I AM TEH FIRST!

Bite me please? XD ..Yes, I'm different.

I'd send you inspiration except I've run dry today...

I think someone else's advice was good *points further up the list* Just write down a few sentences/dialogue that you know you want in there, then just slodge through it line by line to get there, and don't expect it to be Perfect with a P, just get there. I find that either I get inspired halfway through, or else I don't and it's crap but there's at least some of it worth keeping, and I'm generally then encouraged to rework the rest. The more you have down, the easier it tends to get.

As for Gaara being there, it's not an obligation for the Kages to participate, even though they can. In the Chuunin exam in the series, Oro!Kazekage showed up for plot-related reasons, but nobody else did (granted, by then there were only Sand and Leaf nin left, but they all thought the Sound guy would still be there, and nobody wondered where the Sound Kage was...) Um, make sense? But if you want Gaara in there, by all means ^_^

If you want Sasuke to be angry, maybe you could try taking from your own experiences (Mrs. Haruno not-so-covertly pressuring them to get a citizen's job?, and then move on from there. Like someone suggesting that Naruto not take much part in the relationship, or something equally pissing-off-ish.

That's fine, you didn't at all come across as offensive ^__^

Sorry I couldn't be of much help ;__;
