Fun with Fi, dreams, and gundam zombies!

I should randomly add a pool and have them relax for a bit. After all today I gave Tyr a therapy session. (oh god once the first draft is done I will need a real therapist person to tell me all the ways in which OH MY GOD A GOOD THERAPIST WOULD NEVER DO THAT, because I do want the character to come across as basically competent and not actually a hack, if a bit out of her depth (they might have wanted to pair her up with an animal behaviorist, just liking animals a lot does not qualify. XD) Alas I am not, personally, a psychiatrist, and as such I am having a bit of a hard time. (also her not-very-confrontational, nice way of speaking is so BORING to write. I want snappy, snarky dialogue dammit!)
The pool scene could be a fanservice outtake. Manga does it, why not novels? >_> I could revolutionize novel-writing with that idea.

So today I wrote notes, lots and lots of notes.

Though I must admit, yesterdays notes were more "If this happened in Apollonia's world, how I could avoid bringing in Social Services? Does the magical society have different rules or laws about this whole favours owed and repaid system? And scrap that whole accountant thing with Apollonia, it makes much more sense if she's a lawyer. Change her story to..."
I figure anything I type on the story, be it actual story or outline notes, in November counts. Nothing copy and pasted from anywhere/time else counts though. I also don't count retyping something from somewhere are writing, it has to be original words.
Some of my notes are also along the lines of "In chapter five I added Koen. Karen has a crush on him." and a few lines about his appearance and personality, maybe a line about how she met him and the like. My characters tend to just drop in as I'm writing and I need to keep tabs on them so I don't contradict myself, especially since I tend to allude to prior interaction that I didn't actually write. *head!desk* Sometimes the details lead to scenes out of order in the story timeline too. This year I have a mess of them since I changed the timeline on the fly twice. (I am resisting the 300 year time jump because that's a completely new story and I can't really reuse anything but the character concepts.)

also for your tyr fic...well my dad is a therapist, so I basically grew up with the way therapy can go in all its ways, if that helps^^.
But, first you would need to decide if you want a psychotherapist or a psychiatrist. Because you used both and those two professions are not interchangable, damnit! (sorry just something I feel I have been saying my entire life)
Basically, if you want Tyr to get any kinds of drugs, he would need to go to an psychiatrist. Those are medical doctors that studied medicine with psychology on the side and take care of all psychological illnesses that are combinations with brain imbalance things like schizophrenia, psychosis etc.
A therapist on the other hand is not a doctor, because he/she studied psychology not medinicine and after finishing took another course in psychotherapy. Those take care of everything from marital, behaviour and stress problems, anxiety, work troubles over transgender issues, employee coaching or pedophilia, phobias etc. There are different branches there, psychoanalisys which takes most of its stuff from Freud and is not actually used anymore, because most psychologist acknowledge that Freuds theories are a lot of bullcrap most of the time, deep psychology which developed out of that (working method is a lot of the time, that all actual problems stem from some point in your development and finding them will help you work through it) and behaviour therapy - the one I personally find to make the most sense and probably not coincidentally what my dad uses - looks at the actual behaviour of the patient, combined with prior issues to find a reasonable, good way to live your life

I think I want a psychiatrist (which is funny because that's the word i used nonstop in the actual story anyway, but i didn't really know the nuance with therapist so yay for learning things ^^) since their issues are caused mostly by biological/hormonal imbalances caused by, you know, HAVING A WILD BEAST IN THE BACK OF THEIR BRAIN AND TRYING TO COME OUT MWAHAHA. >:E Issues which are controlled by happy pills, so that'd fall under her purview. Then again they also have a doctor on the team so maybe a doctor and a therapist would also work... but she might just be more about the physical aspects and not the fucked up brain chemistry aspects, anyway. Hrrrm. Ideas?

Also of how you want to deal with it. Meaning is this a problem that you want Tyr to supress/have it vanish? does he need to work through it? work with his beast-type thing (wether it be a psychological issue or fantastical)? because if it's just about ignoring it then happy pills would probably work as band-aids in a crisis situation. but if it's about you know either working through or working with a combination of a doctor (who can prescribe the medication) and a behavioural/deep therapist who would propose/help find ways to live with the problems could work really well
Like take depression for instance. (Leaving aside that I think this has become a fashion trend and I don't think most people diagnosed with it are actually clinically depressed *rantrantsnarksnark*) It is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. But that is not all of it. Even if you tend to have this biological problem if your life is a charmed fairytale you will not get it. But it means you are very much predisposed to becoming depressed, which is when you should get anti-depressants. But they are not the final solution. You still need to find ways to live a normal life. Develope strategies to get you out of your funk. Like really thinking about positive reinforcent or formulating true goals to work. Get yourself a support structure inside and out. Depressed people aren't weaker or stronger than others, but if you just take a pill and everything is magically better then don't kid yourself, you were never really depressed clinically or otherwise. Most of the time it is very much a mix of biological and real psychological issues.
So tl;dr I personally think a doctor/therapist would be perfect. (though you would then still need to decide if you want to go the *deep-dark-past did it and if I just find out when my parents were mean to me I will conquer the beast!* or the step further of *knowing what caused it is nice, but what can I do today to make my own messed up psyche not interfere in my happiness by it's weird beast-conjuring strategies")

1. Zombies....In Space!
2. New strain of L2 virus = zombies, a majority of whom were already starving when they were human.
3. L2 is extremely quickly turned into zombie apocalypse central and the place has virtually no security so the zombies/carriers are spreading to other places and are undetected at first.
4. The pilots get called in. Hmmm... do they still have the Gundams? (and was Duo already on L2 when the virus hit?)
5. Dammit! I can't write, why the hell do I have this forming in my head?!

This seems like a really quick way to get a zombie elephant problem on your hands. 'Course, now the scene is fully formed in my mind, that Heero and Duo come across Trowa doing this and then have to deal with an elephant zombie ("You seriously brought an elephant gun?" "I thought we might need one.")
