In other news, my ofics are making a racket in the back of my brain, but it's all too confusing and annoying and jumbled for me to get an actual SCENE to WRITE out of it. Goddamn, Tyr, Liadan, Brea, stop being so indecisive and tell me what you want already. ... oh, you want me to write that BRAND NEW other ofic. Okay then -- no hey wait, keep talking, keep -- damn it.

Also I miss writing (of all things!) 1x2 and narusasu at the moment, but I can't figure out what I'd even want to write about 'em. Not longfic for sure. Maybe I'll do a prompt meme one of these days, but I have such a bad track record with those. Murgh.

re: flashback to the reactor fight, I do think it should be written, but that would be massively spoilerific about Seph's daemon. So that means I'd probably have to write a fic or two about how confusing and weird the daemon situation is, first. XD; Man, it looks like PLOT. Damn.

I very rarely comment--largely because I find all of your awesome so very intimidating--but you are one of the very few writers I would follow anywhere, because you do things with characters and settings that are truly fantastic.

Intimidating in the sense that I have issues commenting on the writers I like so much because it all dissolves into *flail* and then I have to go have a quiet lie-down and feel terribly embarrassed. --So, it's not you, it's me? THe ultimate bait for all good fangirls and boys everywhere! *Here fishyfishyfishy!* The Asuka is total awesomeness, isn't she? Truth be told, I'm still wanting to see more of her Cyborg-Sasuke-Hybrid-Naruto fic thinger. Can't remember the fic name. It got a little jumbled toward the end of what she's written on it, so I suspect she hit the Author's Curse of writer's block on it. However, her other stuff is totally enough to distract me from it. I'm so love-squishing on her Swingers-verse

Evil Plots are GOOD. Case in point - Restore. There are sooo many things that could go wrong with Sephiroth back in the picture. ...Hmmm. Come to think of it Asuka, have you considered the Seph-clones for Restore? Or did Advent Children not happen in this 'verse? Kadaj is creepy, but the other two aren't quite as bad. I like Loz, kinda.

You don't have an option for 'I read whatever you write and am happy about it, but Naruto is the only canon I know very well, which makes it more familiar but not necessarily a thing I like to read more, just less work'.

So many people are doing polls today. I don't get it.

But yes- I voted for foursome because oh my god, if we actually get a choice in this I will ALWAYS go for ZackSephAerisCloud goodies, but I wouldn't mind any of the other options. Well, no, mostly I want it to at least be Seph/Zack, but OMG FOURSOMES YOU WRITE THEM SO WELL TOGETHER.

Second, daemon!verse- I'd want that scene because I know you'd write it really well and that I would probably cry. Hell, I almost wrote Zack's death scene, but I think you're just talking FF7- not before or anything.

And I am literally in love with ALL of your stuff, so I don't mind. ♥

Polls are fun! I'd do a ton more if I could figure out what to poll people about.

Foursome seems to be largely winning, and I'm really biased about poly ships in the first place, so... XD We'll see how they all balance out. Maybe there won't be zack/cloud, but all the rest i could see ... oh hell, it's useless trying to predict those things before i write them, I can never guess how far the characters'll go.

Aeris' death scene... Hm. Well, I was thinking, what use is writing an AU if the changes don't affect ANYTHING. I don't know if one of the major changes is going to be this scene -- even if simon tells aeris to dodge I suspect seph's daemon would be okay with gobbling the poor kitty up, which would have the same results. >__>; I'm still brainstorming.

That said, my current #1 spot is held by Atobe Keigo from Prince of Tennis. Followed closely by Shanks and Ace from One Piece. Though, I do adore Zuko. He's among the top ten. Of course, I tend to group my favs by series, so usually they're not in the same favorite list.

I don't really care about the Naruto canon anymore, but one of these days I'm going to go back and reread Teamwork so I can catch up properly! Until then I'm just reading most of everything else you write.

A couple of days ago I ~~was avoiding homework~~ took it into my head to read Restore, because I liked Steal so much, (and also to serve as 'background reading' to supplement the insta-explanation of FF7 you gave way back when, because I still haven't ever played the game or watched the movie or anything. You're like my one source on this XD;; ) and now for some reason FF7 stuff is right up there next to Naruto stuff on my mental priority list of Fandoms ~~for which~~ Asuka Writes.

RE: prettiest: Are you still familiar with the D.Gray-man characters? Because there's a couple ~~dozen~~ I could name as contenders for the list. That manga is like half fanservice. (The other half is drugs. All hail Hoshino Katsura, queen of trolls~)

Hoshino's art style got weird after that last hiatus. I blame it on the natural evolution of her art style (by which I mean it was always changing for no good reason even when she was doing it regularly week by week) and all those injuries and illnesses she winds up with, as well as the drugs. Possible recreational use aside, I'm betting on the pain meds being at least opioids; it'd explain the giant bowl of mayonnaise'd vicodin in chapter 190something.

Tyki's definitely the prettiest, yes! And then there's Kanda, Cross, Allen, Komui, Lavi, section chief Reever, JasDevi, Madarao of the Third Exorcists, the Fourteenth Noah "Nea(h) Walker"...the women are just as pretty, though. Eliade and Lenalee and Madarao's sister Tevak and Bak's mother Touyi/Twi Chang and General Klaud Nine...damn I need me a copy of that art book.

There I was, passing through, and I saw these ticky boxes. I could not resist the ticky, nor all the ficcy I've missed, so here I am for a little bitty time.

Also, ticky boxes are fun but not very informative and I feel compelled to add some why to the who and what.
1. I never see pairs in this fandom anymore. Poly is fun but I kinda like the intimacy of one on one right now. Also, Cloud/Seph has always been my fave but Cloud almost always becomes an afterthought (in fandom) if Zack is involved with Sephiroth. I like the Cloud you're building, who's growing into a man without having to use Zack's personality as a crutch. I'd be fine with whatever you did but those two are the most interesting to me. Also, I have a big soft woobie spot for Zack/Aeris.

2. I know nothing about the series you're crossing in Daemon AU but I like it and it makes me curious about Nanaki's place in it, and his people. Also, the music from Cosmo Canyon is second only to Seph's theme in my book, and I maybe cried when they found Seto in the game.

1. yeah, I don't see the cloud/zack intimity being easily found again, not before Cloud can deal as an equal. i like Cloud/Seph and Zack/Aeris better too but in this 'verse the Seph => Zack is already pretty well established and i don't think Cloud would like the feeling of getting Zack's leftovers either. sadly that also covers Aeris. Hrrrm.

2. I might have cried as well. A little bit. >_>;;

A real equal foursome would be hard there anyway because Zack devotes a lot of his emotional capital to the kids and Cloud is likely going to feel like a charity case if offered to join in too early, and by the time things are better between them maybe he'll have moved on a bit. I dunno. *ponders* I do like poly tangles but they don't have to all be identical. Woohoo dynamics.

1)I voted for 4some only because I couldn't decide and I love the woobies you get with all these misunderstandings and their resolutions. That being said, I don't see Zack/Cloud being a very viable option in the current time of the fic. I would love to see Aeris find/help/talk to Zack. she is one of my favorite characters, and the only one I can see helping him without drawing too much attention (if she can slip away from the Turks... then again, maybe, in this verse, they catch her. Cause Zack and Cloud aren't there. Oh noes! ;_;)

2) My phone hates me and wouldn't let me type in the typetype box. So. I would like either THE death scene (There are some here who may not have played, so, even though it's 13 years old, I'll censor the name there.) I apparently want to suffer.
Also, I see some voting for the crossdressing scene. I um. I approve.

3) Ah, Teamwork. I started reading you in GW, then followed you through Naruto, FF7, etc. I've read almost everything you've written (that's available). I'm not gonna complain about a lack of TW (even if it's my fave), because everything you write is fabulous and makes me very happy. Even the stuff that also makes me cry. ^_^

4) Sasuke-bastard is so very pretty and emo. And Cloud is too. I like the broody ones.
That being said, Cloud made a very lovely lady. So. He kinda wins.

...yeah, whatever. In any case, whatever you end up writing, I will occasionally drop by and read, and try to comment on. In that vein, what is this ticky box, Kaito as in... Kaitou KID? Seriously? When did that happen? What have you done? RUN! NOW!! That fandom is a BLACK HOLE! Once you recognize it's hold upon you, it is far, far too late. It seems ridiculous and harmless, but it has already SUCKED YOU IN. Once you realize it, you're already past the event horizon.

Maybe you mean a different Kaito. In which case, IGNORE ME. I just want to see Cloud's daemon clinging to that motorcycle, that would be hilarious. Also interested in what the Hell happened between his and Zack's daemons, but am trusting that you already planned to give that to us.

I am going to do laundry and then coming back to comment and read this journal on something besides the ffvii filter.

Also, with the whole, which should Cloud go for thing... Tifa? I know that she's all immature and stuff, but this universe is all screwed up and Hojo is still fucking around with his lab in Niebelhiem, so...

It's just, Cloud is actually, in the most fucked up way possible, getting everything he wants, right? He's a soldier, he's being mentored be Sephiroth himself, and he did promise Tifa he'd go back and everything. Maybe she gets derailed in this thing too? Zangan teaches her all he knows, daddy's stifling, so Tifa decides she is going to go out and see the world! Or Jenova is still in those mountains, anything could happen.

It just seems to me like Cloud's getting the short straw here. Nothing for him (<- making no sense at all). This is an opportunity to entirely re-do Tifa, maybe whack her with a maturity-whilst-lacking-massive-personal-trauma stick or something.

Also, quick perusal indicates that another brave soldier has fallen to the inexplicable power of DC/MK. Does it not boggle the mind? Shrinking potion?!

no, she really does mean Kaito Kid. But I'll ignore you anyway. I don't know enough about the two series to write it (not that I really want to. There seems to be plenty of good fic out there already) but I do enjoy Asuka's take on it. So Fun!

I'm sorry, but seeing as I've never played FF7 before, I'm not really invested in the fandom, so the choices I made are predicated upon that. Not that I'm not trying to find a copy. Do you know how much FF7 discs are worth on the secondary market? It's ludicrous!

Now that I think about it, wouldn't it show a lot of Sephiroth's crazy if he touches other people's daemons? Or has his Daemon attack people directly?

It's just something that occurred to me.
