fic-pimp post~

Bweeeeeee. [livejournal.com profile] joisbishmyoga wrote me a Heero ficlet and it's dark and gritty and WOOHOO HEERO. I love it. *rolls on*

---

¤ the other day [livejournal.com profile] shewhoflies made a rec post of her own and, well, she was right, I liked all four of those and for the reasons she mentioned (two FF7, one Zelda and one Seirei no Moribito). But i'm a whore for Cloud Goes Back In Time Somehow multiparts, so I'm especially reccing those ones -- "Take Me Back" by Sigart (mostly a genfic/friendship fic, but with background Cloud/Tifa; Cloud doesn't remember the past... um, future... um. He just doesn't. Very well-written and OMG THE LATEST CHAPTERS :DD.) and "Almost Karma" by BluWhispers (... very much yaoi, also kinda not as believable and over the top, but hella fun.) Both stories treat Avalanche/Tifa and Aeris well. More babble on the stories in the post's comments. Warning! Both are works in progress, alas and woe.

¤ [livejournal.com profile] urplesquirrel: First Church of Our Lady. This fic is JUST started -- only one chapter so far. But the concept is so awesome, it must have more loev.
Summary: Rebuilding is a long, slow, and arduous task. Even for a recently deified Goddess and her reluctant prophet, Cloud Strife. Post Advent Children, multiple pairings. Slight spoilers for AC: Complete.
Because clearly, Aeris was a goddess and Cloud is Her Prophet, right? Right. I'm torn between "aww, poor Cloud" and "AHAHAHA CLOUD". XD

¤ Aaaand a long one-shot, humor and pretty amazing -- The Art of Innocence by TwinTrouble.
Zack has returned, not from the dead, but from hiding. Cloud is relieved to see the old friend he had to keep swearing was dead, but Tifa and the others don’t quite get what’s going on… No slash.
This is a big comedy of misunderstandings. Poor Tifa trying to be understanding. XD;;;

It's strange but I don't read a lot in the Naruto fandom at the moment. Maybe because I have a much firmer headcanon for it than for FF7, where I can more easily enjoy whatever happens without going I DUN LIEK IT... Anyway today I was wondering why the hell I just stopped reading Mixed In With the Lightning of Slaughter (or whatever is the exact title, bad asuka not checking) because I read the first few chapters and they were amazing -- then I just... didn't continue when the next came along, I'm not sure why. But at this point maybe I'll just wait for it to be done... I dunno. .__.;

In Teamwork news, I have a Sakura scene that's ALMOST ready to post but... the middle doesn't work. I have no clue how to fix it and it's pissing me off. >:/

Doesn't help much that the next scene is Sasuke and, this is not a big spoiler (you guys might hurt me if I found a way to make it NOT happen actually), he's going to see Itachi in there. And I can't feel it at ALL. Canon utterly destroyed my OH MY GOD IT'S ITACHI FIGHT OR FLIGHT RIGHT THE FUCK NOW gut reaction, so now I don't know how I'll write that feeling convincingly in Sasuke's POV. Nrgh.

/whining because every other time i whined about being stuck in teamwork i magically got unstuck in the next day surely it'll totally work now I'm expecting it to work, right? *crosses fingers*
