Nine days since february 1st and I have written exactly 306 words total. I have plotted out almost nothing, save for a few vague teasing bunnies grazing in the back of my brain where I can't get at them, about a fic I haven't even started writing anyway.

Yet when I sit down to write I can't even choose a fic, and when I do choose one, invariably nothing happens and I get sidetracked.

AAAAAH.

I am Frustrated. *feels utterly unproductive* *also, bored*

Wow ... my sympathies!

If I may make a suggestion, at least out-line the AU. Maybe it will free-up brain power for other things. That's how I get past a distraction ... figuring out how impossible a story is.

Of course, if you decide to write a pack-bonding team seven in Space - we, as your adoring fans - will *force* ourselves to read it. Oh, the horror, the struggle, the pain ...

Okay, truthfully, stop teasing and give it to us. Really, hinata, and neji, and sai ... oh, how delightful. The possibilities ... !!! Come on, we'll give you tons of virtual chocolate for just a taste. Please, please, please.

I don't like AUs much either, usually, at least not in the Naruto fandom. But this one just won't leave my brain. ~___~ mmm claustrophobic space stations, predatory alien threats, heavy weaponry, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE THINGS TO BREAK CHARACTERS WITH... Gah. So tempted. But I can't pin it down.

I'd love to, but with my inspiration it's never a matter of "how much is left to write", because some days I'll write 5000 words on three different stories and be annoyed that I have to do things like sleep and eat because I can't type at the same time, and some days I can't even finish a drabble no matter how long I stare at it. Which is why I don't even bother with fests and deadlines. ~___~;;

That's still more words than I've written since October 10th since apparently ADHD people can only write fanfics with deadlines. Curse you writer's block...

I wish I had some ideas that could help you but I haven't even found anything that will work for me.

I keep getting ideas for scenes and writing them out so I don't forget them, but I can't even use them because they won't show up till chapter five or eight or ten or until one of the sequel fics and I still haven't finished chapter one.

Just write what you feel like writing. When your mind goes on a tangent, just write out whatever it thinks. Then try and write some of your WIPs.

Also, the space AU? Would be totally amazing if it were set in the Mass Effect universe. Just saying.

Anyway, just write to write. It may help you get past a block in another story.

Mass Effect is this AMAZING video RPG video game set in space...defined as a "space opera" by wikipedia. The second one just came out like a week and a half ago. The first one received a lot of flak a few years ago for the "raunchy" alien sex scene.

Anyway, really good story line and fun to play. You can essentially create your own main character from the ground up.

oh, thought of something, just drabble, just start writing some nonsense and see where it takes you, the more ridiculous the better, because then you can laugh at yourself. Hope that helps... some.
