Naruto = kitsune (duh. XD) Kitsune are linked to nature, hence the leaves and the ... sort of ghost-picture tree.

Sakura = Kirin. DRAGON UNICOOOORN. Just because. (I don't see her as a predator species but I don't see her as prey either. So a grass-eater that can defend itself perfectly well = yay.) Legendary kirins are supposed to spit fire but Sasuke's Kirin attack is a lightning attack and it turns out I have lightning premade brushes and I don't have flame brushes. Phear my logic.

Sasuke = nekomata... LION. Due to his shishi rendan attack (=lion something attack XD) and the fact that without a mane he doesn't look like sasuke at all. XD Nekomata have power over the dead, yay necromancy, therefore weird dark shadow-things. Also, the curse seal sort of, because it's cool. He's kind of a... half-pantherlion nekomata. yeah. Totally.

...okay so I went mostly with what looked cool to me. >__>;;

Sasuke and Juugo were wiser and knew to save their strength. They already surrendered. u.u

No, it's not a typo. Sasuke does have a lightning attack called Kirin. She just applied it to Sakura for the drawing.

Hmmm... In the Final Fantasy games where there's a Kirin summon (at the moment, the only one I'm sure has this is the Tactics game for GBA), I'm pretty sure it does some kind of healy thing. Like maybe reraise or cleanse or that stupid thing where you regain some hp every turn. Which kind of fits with Sakura's healer-nin-ness? (Not that Final Fantasy is any sort of good source for real mythology BUT STILL.)

I read somewhere in early Chinese legends, Qi-Lin would be in courtrooms where the evidence was not clear, because of their ability to tell if a person was unjust. If the person on trial was found wanting by it, they got gored x: But they are so gentle to the just that when they walk they do not bend a blade of grass~ Kinda wonder if they eat

Not sure if it's part of Chinese or Japanese folklore, but I read somewhere that Qi-Lin/Kirin were also said to have the power to destroy a corrupt or unjust empire in a night without harming a single innocent.

Actually, I think the lightning fits Sakura. I'm not all clued up on Kakashi's Raikiri jutsu, but doesn't it require more control than large amounts of chakra? I could be wrong. Even so, there are so many different ways someone like Sakura, who has a small chakra reservoir, could make use of a little static-sized lightning ... closing blood vessels during surgery t slow blood loss ... cauterizing wounds in the field, when she needs to conserve chakra ... think about it! Mini-lasers! Being able to go where even a scalpel can't!

Sakura should bash Kakashi over the head until he agrees to teach her Raikiri!

XD;; i think being able to learn raikiri is more about being a lightning-element type. We don't know what her affinity is.

Yay for kickass mythical creatures! They look so awesome.

And I think I said this on DA but I love the "Hair" series. Karin and Suigetsu's expressions are priceless, and Sasuke and Juugo having given in are adorable.
