Anyone got a fandom meme for me? With questions and stuff, so I can babble. I kinda wanted to do a dialogue ficlet meme but with the way I can't concentrate that's not happening. T^T Also, those old old memes are a go:

1) Crossed Wires!Shikamaru:
-He works as a receptionist in Ino's dad's company (software people... in that kind of 'verse no one would buy flowers XD), it's a super easy job that doesn't pay a lot and has nothing to do with any of the computer stuff that goes on in the offices, and he's perfectly happy with it.
-He knows a lot more about Naruto's secrets than Naruto ever actually told him or is aware he guessed, but frankly... he doesn't care, Naruto is Naruto, one of his good buddies, that's how things are.
-He still smokes, because he never got revenge for Asuma, because he never figured out who had done it. (mugging gone bad i think.)
2)a. My favorite thing about Suigetsu: How he's always so irreverend with Sasuke -- saying only an idiot would go to Orochimaru of their own will, and just casually pointing out where Sasuke is acting like an idiot, even though he would still follow him anywhere.
b. My least favorite thing about Suigetsu: ... it's shallow but his teeth bug me a little. XD; I wish he just had two fangs.
c. One person I would ship them with in their own 'verse: KARIN. And Sasuke for the fun, but Karin for the long-term. Sasuke belongs to Naruto and Sakura u.u~
d. One crossover ship for them I think would be neat: hmmm Reno from FF7. *_*
e. One fanon that I don't agree with: I have no clue what the fanon is like for him... I guess I wouldn't like it if they write him not verbally jabbing at Karin and being all pining in secret, but that's just stupid OOC, not really fanon. >__>;; Hmmmm.
3) Crossed Wires isn't really dead, but at the moment it's hibernating pretty deeply. I haven't touched it for a while now, though I still prod at the plot problem sometimes.
And the random snippet isn't even from a whole scene-bit, just notes. .__.;

Fic-specific question: In Progression of the Teamwork universe, the story seems to indicate that the more tails a fox has, the stronger its power and that they can "gain a tail" from one another. If that's correct, what determines the number of tails at birth, or do they gain more as they get older, or ... something like that. I'm not too clear on what I'm asking either. ^^;

2) a. My favorite thing about that character: I like everything about Sasuke. ♥ Well. Almost everything. he's got the insane cute and the huffy, curt superiority, and the prettiness and the angst and the sneaky sense of humor and i love how he tries to break and remake himself but even though he might not be warm or friendly or nice, there's this core of justice and care that never quite breaks.
b. My least favorite thing about that character: That killer bee thing? The hell? i'm hoping Kishi is going somewhere specific with this and not just conveniently forgetting it breaks his previously established characterization.
c. One person I would ship them with in their own 'verse: only one? but ... he's my fandom bicycle! ...Okay, so, naruto.
d. One crossover ship for them I think would be neat: I just realized I'd love it if he met Dumbledore. ... NOT AS A SHIP OH GOD. but, I don't know, i'd love it. Umm who else... Yuusuke from YYH, maybe. ^^
e. One fanon that I don't agree with: that he doesn't care about his team, either of them.
3) Heh ^^ it's japanese lore actually. all foxes are born normal foxes and if they manage to live... X number of years, or reach X level of spiritual power (age is a factor in power but not the only one, there's also personal ability and how often you pray/commune with the gods/practice your magic, etcetera) then their second tail appears. then a third etcetera. But foxes who manage to reach all nine are super rare. I think foxes are born with a potential, but like everything in life there's a lot of outside factors that change it. Like whether they were well-fed in infancy or if an injustuce happened to them which gave them stronger emotions which they use as fuel for their magic and motive to practice more often, etcetera. And maybe most normal foxes just never get a special moment where it just... clicks, and they access their spiritual side, and they grow old and die as beasts without developing any of the potential magic they had at all? I dunno.
Right now i'm too braindead to remember any specific kitsune legends that mean eating a creature means stealing their spiritual power, but with all the tales of vampires and everything (and inuyasha and other manga lore! XDDD) it just makes sense to me that Kyuubi would gain power from the enemies he takes inside himself that way, you know?

2)Duo from Garou:
-He and Heero alternate as Wufei's partners because they're not allowed by the regulations to partner each other since they're "significant others". He's very tempted to mention that he and heero have slept with wufei too and that he's one of their most important people, and that Duo would break ranks and orders to save Wufei's ass exactly as often as he'd do it for Heero anyway -- read: not unless it was 110% necessary and really worth it, because otherwise they'd kill Duo themselves.
-He can goof off with Quatre and spar or debate with Wufei, but his best friend is Trowa.
-When he's around 25-30, he figures he's done enough for the Earth Sphere and retires from the Preventers so he can do stuff for himself. Heero never does manage to get it, but then on his death bed at 90 year old the guy would sill be trying to atone.

I managed to write 1000 words on Teamwork last week! ^o^ and once I get past the current little snag it should go fast once again, but it's a fight scene and aaaargh hate fight scenes hate hate hate. Sasuke isn't hibernating on me at least, but, well, it's hard to handle Sasuke alone in the middle of a ton of OCs. They're not even as funny as team kunoichi. >___>
And you get the beginning of the chapter because the last lines I wrote are way too spoilerous. XD
The old three-tailed fox was sliding in his grasp, fur slick with blood. Sasuke shifted it back up against his chest as he ran, a little rough; it didn't complain. The animal wasn't heavy, mostly made of skin and bones, but tall enough to be awkward to carry.
Sasuke slanted a wary look at the girl with the katana. She was the only unencumbered one; he didn't like that. If the fox hadn't needed all its concentration to keep holding the genjutsu that hid their escape, Sasuke was sure she would have attacked him already. He knew the type.
He threw a quick glance over his shoulder, sharingan cutting through the haze of the kitsune illusion. Still no sign of pursuit. Still no sign of Sakura either. He really hated this.
Fucking Kyuubi.

-Lots of people think Shika is the absolute master of information and leader in their team, and while in a general sense he's more often the leader than not, all the getting people to spit out info is done by her, and he trusts her judgment on human behavior more than his own.
-She says if Chouji was thinner she would find him attractive, but actually the only way to make her reliably want Chouji is to have another girl threaten to take him away. Fat or not, she'd get jealous either way.
-right this moment, she is getting ready to take a boat that will bring her to the island so she can meet with her OC cousin and watch the tournament. :3

-Only his father isn't aware that Sasuke is gay. (Sasuke has never told any of them, and thinks no one knows.)
-Itachi leaning toward Internal Affairs, his father hopes Sasuke at least will become a detective like he is. (Sasuke leans toward SWAT teams, though.)
-Mikoto and Kushina will be great friends.
2) Haku:
a. My favorite thing about that character: "By the way... I'm a boy." He made Naruto doubt his sexuality.... or. well. HE SHOULD HAVE.
b. My least favorite thing about that character: I dunno. There's nothing I dislike about him, just things I like more or less.
c. One person I would ship them with in their own 'verse: Zabuza. D: ZabuHaku FOREVAR omg who'd dare to pull them apart, so wrong.
d. One crossover ship for them I think would be neat: D: nothing. Zabuza or celibacy.
e. One fanon that I don't agree with: That he was a spineless yes-man. he served Zabuza, yeah, but it was obvious that also included telling Zabuza upfront whenever the man did something retarded and making him stop it.
3) I think at first she'd be so stunned she wouldn't react much one way or another, apart from a lot of "no way!" and staring at him trying to see it. Eventually she'd learn to be fine with it, since Naruto would be
more thanfine with it, but I think it would also make her crush slowly disappear and honest interest and tentative friendship grow, because she'd realize 1) he's still a babybot and he's not naturally mysterious so much as awkward and locked up in secrets not his own, 2) his awesome sexy bod is not a result of good health, good lifestyle habits, and lucky genetics but of good designer specs, and 3) he's already Naruto's. u.u She wants Naruto to be happy.no subject

Steal away, steal away. That's their purpose and it's not as if I came up with them in the first place. XD
1) Teamwork!Tsunade:
-right now she's training Sakura mostly because at first she had to, and then she became a little intrigued by Sakura's insight into the problems they might face the future, but she's not as impressed with her as she would have been in canon (yet, anyway.) Sakura's resolve seems weaker to her, so she doesn't see her as "my disciple" but more like "this girl I should/might as well train" and "Tsunade wants Naruto to have stronger allies" is a bigger part of her motive than it was in canon as well.
-She understands why Jiraiya and Kakashi had to plot behind her back so she'd have deniability but the next time they do that to her she will beat them half to death, she doesn't care how necessary it was to let team Seven attempt that stupid seal thing on their own "or else they would have done worse", and she doesn't care how monitored they actually were; it was a stupid gamble that she hadn't allowed and damn it, SHE is the Hokage. So at the moment they're rather in the doghouse with her, and will be for a while longer.
-The only reason she doesn't worry about Sasuke's allegiance at the moment is that while she personally thinks the baby is slightly more likely to be Naruto's, Sasuke won't go anywhere as long as he doesn't know for sure it isn't his. But that's a rather short-lived assurance. She can tell he's always going to be loyal to his clan, then himself, then mayyyybe, if it doesn't make trouble for the rest, his village. That's not enough for her.
2) Itachi:
a. My favorite thing about that character: his devotion to Sasuke. ;^;
b. My least favorite thing about that character: that >8D face. It broke my brain. D:
c. One person I would ship them with in their own 'verse: ...Sasuke .__.
d. One crossover ship for them I think would be neat: I dunno, I don't see him as a very sexual being... Hrrm. Kurama from YYH maybe.
e. One fanon that I don't agree with: That he was really all that's good and pure and etcetera. He had good intention, but the road to hell is paved with 'em. Shades of gray = good.
3) As for Crossed Wires i'm afraid I have nothing new to post ATM. Only notes. .____. *checks files*

1) Three things I never said before about Teamwork!Kyuubi... hrrm, that's gonna be hard without falling into spoiler-land.
-His real name isn't Kyuubi; that's just his title. He doesn't clearly remember that name, though, and isn't sure why he would need one, so Kyuubi will do. I think at some point Naruto will remember for him though.
-Only one of his littermates made it past two-tails, and Kyuubi killed him, because he was still one-tail at that point and therefore the two-tails was a danger to him. That's how he gained his second tail actually.
-He was possessive of all the vixens he ever had in his harem, and sometimes he happened to feel playful or generous, but he saw them as pretty much interchangeable and the only one he had anything approaching fondness for was Tsuki, the white one.
2) Kyuubi:
a. My favorite thing about that character: that destructive force of nature that isn't quite pure evil but still extremely scary.
b. My least favorite thing about that character: The freaking chakra bubbles. WTF kishi, they look like boils.
c. One person I would ship them with in their own 'verse: XD GAMABUNTA. Insane juggernaut of furry death x yakuza boss toad. awesome. *_*
d. One crossover ship for them I think would be neat: Kyuubi/Orihime. u.u
e. One fanon that I don't agree with: that he's secretly nice and loevs Naruto like a mother. Noooo. The only reason he wants to keep naruto alive is that otherwise he'd die too.
3) Teamwork quotey bit!
He took them in. One exhausted and rather slow-moving medic-nin, one half-dead guy, two summons -- one of them an arthritic thing with a crushed front paw and the other one, the huge wolf, still trembling on the edge of white-eyed panic. It wouldn't be hard to punch the girl unconscious and force their tokens out of them. Then, of course, the healer would have to juggle two KOed teammates as Kyuubi no Youko hunted them down, which made helping them get away in the first place rather pointless.

a. My favorite thing about that character: The smiling ruthless bastard aspect.
b. My least favorite thing about that character: ... the niceness might be mostly fake but it's still boring to me .__.
c. One person I would ship them with in their own 'verse: Kuronue. Or Yuusuke.
d. One crossover ship for them I think would be neat: Kurama/Neville Longbottom. All
e. One fanon that I don't agree with: ... that he's really a super nice guy. XD I mean he's a decent person in general (when he's around yuusuke he wants to be at least) and he can be very pleasant, but... thief... ruthless bastard... Mmh. Or that he's a shallow pretty-boy. Really it doesn't mean much that he has a cute face -- he's a demon fox. >__>

-He wishes he could have grabbed Naruto and taken him out of the village, but with Akatsuki briefly disorganized because of internal problems he didn't have enough leverage to pressure the council and Naruto would have never accepted to leave for more than a couple of months at a time with his whole team waiting back home.
-He still doesn't know that Orochimaru is dead. He's starting to strongly suspect -- too long with nothing coming from him, but he doesn't know how it might have happened, and part of him doesn't want to find out one way or another. He always thought they'd see each other again, if only for a final showdown.
-Apart from Tsunade Kakashi is only one he really trusts with a lot of his deeper schemes, but he wouldn't call him a friend. Apart from Tsunade he has no one he would call true friends. Buddies, though, those he has tons of.
-If Sasuke and Sakura were both girls he'd be the first to tell Naruto "you go!" but the way things are he just can't wrap his mind around the way they work, or the fact that they haven't had a huge fight and fallen apart yet. Intellectually he can comprehend polyamory, but emotionally there's a disconnect. He accepts it for Naruto's sake, and because he doesn't believe he has a right to disapprove anyway seeing how he abandoned Naruto when he was younger, but he doesn't believe they'll last; he thinks it's a "teenagers fumbling through a phase" thing.
2) Lee... Well, he doesn't show up a lot in my fics or babbles because while I like him, it's not a really active sort of liking. As for canon I don't know. None of the genin cast show up half as often as we'd all like. ;_____;
