The very thought of working on the fanart section anytime soon gives me hives. Sometimes I'm kinda tempted to delete all the fanart to make space and just use deviant art... But devart deletes shit at random and doesn't accept pr0nz anyway. Hrrrm. Hnn.

As for the state of my fandoms, seeing how fandom monogamous I usually am, it's kinda strange for me right now. The Bleach fics were more or less aberrations and I don't feel like I have anything left to say on the fandom, but at the moment FF7 regularly pokes me with all its "Zack and Aeris and Sephiroth come back from the dead!!" versions (plus a strange AU where Zack is part of a species that pack-bonds and Cloud isn't -- the species might actually be some kind of Cetra-Jenova mix if I can bullshit it properly...), and GW is shuffling up zombie-style with the newtype stuff, and then there's friggin Dragonball Z that won't get out of my head until I give it a Saiyajin AU with telepathy and pack-like social structures. Ooh worlbuilding for mildly psychic, ultra-proud, ultra-violent predators, I wantses it, preciousss...

... Now that I think about it, I miiiiight have some kind of hankering for a good psychic-bonding story. .___. Any recs?

As for psychic bonding... I can't think of any good fanfic like that off the top of my head (except, well, yours), but I could point you to some original stuff that does it decently - Cherryh's Rider At The Gate has humans bonding with telepathic horses. Which think like horses, and get territorial or panicky or randy whether it's convenient to their rider or not, and then they transmit it, and before long you have a vicious little mob mentality spreading through the herd, the riders, the neighboring town...

And the townsfolk don't like the horses much, but see them as a necessary evil because the region is full of telepathic wildlife and at least the horses keep away the willy-wisps and lorry-lies and goblin-cats and so on.

Personally it's not even that Kenshin is too straight for me (though he is XD) It's mostly that their relationship seemed the enduring, uncomplicated kind of camaraderie. I didn't find the more intense degree of deeper interest/fascination/care I need to slash two friends. Alas.

Also it's hard to slash Kenshin for me, because his bond with Kaoru is focused on so much, comparatively. The only guys I could slash him with would be Saito (one-night-stand mindfuck) and Enishi (due to him having the Tomoe relationship, which precedes Kaoru's, and then the possibility for Kenshin to feel guilty and want to fix him. Even then... Gotta need a good fic.)

XD It's not natural for me, and it's really boring coding, mostly italics, bolds and stuff, so when the fic is huge it gets really annoying to look for them. All the big coding was done by my friend because I don't know how.

If you're looking for a really good fic I would recommend the Red Dragon Tetralogy by Lisalu. You can find it at http://www.adimra.100megs6.com/lisalu/reddragon.html

It has telepathy, psychic bonding, and a completely new universe(s). And the story is so awesome, I've gone back and read it over at least 6 times. It contains Bulma/Vegita, and a whole bunch of other ones. The only bad thing about the series is that it's incomplete and the author hasn't updated in 3 years, but it is worth reading. Lisalu also has other stories that are pretty good too. I would recommend all of them.
