...in march?
:P the sun is shinning around here.

[identity profile] bemysty.livejournal.com 2008-03-04 01:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Supposedly a side effect of Emma... I'm supposed to get snow today as well :x (not far from the French border, so probably sooner than later -_-)

[identity profile] mignonne422.livejournal.com 2008-03-04 01:51 pm (UTC)(link)
lol. Sorry? Unless you like snow, then yay! XD

[identity profile] mikkeneko.livejournal.com 2008-03-04 02:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that happens here a lot.

IT'S MARCH! STOP SNOWING ALREADY!!

I know that feeling, it snowed all weekend here. :P Though I can't expect the weather to listen to my pleas to stop snowing until at least late April. Hell, it has snowed in JUNE here. At least I don't live in that town that hit the news for snow in August.

That sounds like where I'm from! I remember a few years back, there were two months with zero snowfall all year. One of them was February. The other was July. July is probably the only month when I would be shocked to see snow.

[identity profile] lyarrah.livejournal.com 2008-03-04 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)
...Round these parts, that's normal... but... "these parts" is the mountainous regions of the central US... So... it's normal for us to go back and forth between 75 and 20 degrees in a single weekend...

(I'm guessing snow there is rare? *cannot imagine such a thing, since the only place she's been without snow was a tropical island*

[identity profile] demonomen.livejournal.com 2008-03-05 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
O o' Does you lives in CO? >>" We had a really annoying snowfall for one day, next day it was warm and clear.

[identity profile] lyarrah.livejournal.com 2008-03-05 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, yes, that storm we had this weekend... it was like LOL 75 and on Saturday I was at the pool and laying out... Sunday... I nearly got into a wreck because it was snowing and 22 and my car slipped on the ice.

OH, COLORADO. Your weather, it amuses me so.

[identity profile] mika-kun.livejournal.com 2008-03-04 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Snow in March is just another grudgingly accepted fact of life where I come from. It's not as nice as January snow, it's actually kind of gray.

[identity profile] bookem-dano.livejournal.com 2008-03-04 03:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Same here, only I was going to say 'brown' XD

[identity profile] mika-kun.livejournal.com 2008-03-04 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Brown on the ground for sure, (ruins all my pants) but I think it's even a bit gray even while it's still falling.

It's supposed to snow here, too. x_x

[identity profile] garmiet.livejournal.com 2008-03-04 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Cool! Wait . . . in March??
I saw my very first snowfall last December. I was so amazed that they really do fall in snowflakes. ^_^

lawl.

The snow here (we had way too much this year--probably over 2ft total since the beginning of february) has all turned to ice floes on the sidewalks. All foot travel must be done in the road if you want to go anywhere but flat on your ass. HOORAY ONTARIO kill me.

[identity profile] mika-kun.livejournal.com 2008-03-04 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I fell four time today walking for 20 minutes....

It's just not worth it to go to class, lol. And then I am stupid and like try to walk home with coffee because I'm not used to walking on an icefield and I forget. Ergo, walking on the road. Good thing I live in a smallish town.

... why is it snowing where you are? Though, it's still chilly here. DX The groundhog SAID there'd be six more weeks of winter.

[identity profile] monoshiri.livejournal.com 2008-03-04 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
*looks up in profound jealousy at all the people going "what, in March?! O.O"* Over the course of the next week, we're apparently due for 30-45 cm of snow, and despite entreaties to the weather gods it's not supposed to go above 2 degrees C. Canadian March is an evil, evil whore of a month. In your heart, you know there should be some $%&#@ grass showing about now and maybe the occasional twittering bird already, but no.

Melt, you bastard water molecules, I want to plant my garden already.

[identity profile] viper-s.livejournal.com 2008-03-04 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I feel your pain, and your intense cold too. I live in Manitoba, and I doubt if I'll be seeing grass until April TT_TT It's not a lie when they say we only have two seasons, winter and construction >_

[identity profile] monoshiri.livejournal.com 2008-03-05 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Manitoba? Oh, dude, I take back all previous bitching and bow to your province's superior endurance of the freezing horseshit that is Canadian end-of-winter. AUGH.

[identity profile] oxbonkus.livejournal.com 2008-03-04 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Normally I'd be laughing at you poor bastards with the snow problem, but I've been having that same problem. It snowed twice last week. Wth, weather gods? I live in the middle of the fucking midwest, it's not supposed to snow past January. D:

Unless it's Oklahoma--no weather from there could surprise me--but even then it's mostly thunderstorms. >3> If you don't like the weather wait a minute indeed.

[identity profile] questofdreams.livejournal.com 2008-03-04 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL you're soft. I live in igloo, USA (aka Wisconsin)--the snow in my backyard is high enough to reach the bottom ledge of my window!! XD (SO SICK OF SNOW OMG)

Yay! Snow day!

I'm used to the weather being very weird. It was 75 degrees Saturday, but we got snow on Sunday and a snow delay on Monday.

[identity profile] feidragon.livejournal.com 2008-03-05 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
hahaha! that was my reaction this morning. *pulls open curtains* SOB it's snowing again>< and we'd just gotten rid of most of it too...

[identity profile] stardustonsable.livejournal.com 2008-03-05 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
for the last week or two its been regularly Spring Time in the afternoon TORNADOSTORMWINDLIGHTINGINDEATH that night/early morning the next day, then almost snowing that day.

Rinse, wash, repeat

[identity profile] tekku-karii.livejournal.com 2008-03-05 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
I'm kinda surprised that you're surprised. I just did a weather project in French class, and I was told the climate in France wasn't that different from where I live, are you on the Mediterranean?

There was .3 meters of snow on the ground until yesterday when it was 15 C. Today it's 1 C. We like having wonky weather on the outskirts of the Appalachians, yes we do.

Please forgive me if my conversions seem off or something, I was trying to be considerate of the metric system because it makes more sense, damn us Americans that just have to make up our own system of measurement that follows no real logical sense! and I probably screwed something up. I was trying to say we had a foot of snow and it was 60 F yesterday and 35 F today.

[identity profile] inane-romance.livejournal.com 2008-03-05 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
HA! That is nothing, silly! My homies down in Southern USA know what I mean.

Lesse... Sunday, it was 75-ish degrees farenheit. (dunno how to translate to celsius-- that's what you guys use, right?)Monday had severe thunderstorm warnings, tornado watches, flashflood warnings, and, in some portions of my state, 1-3 inch snowfall.

If anyone does not know what my silly American system means...

Uhm.

Asuka's icon best describes it. :P

Yeah, I know. I wore short sleeves to work this weekend, and almost broke out my thermal underwear yesterday. We got three or four inches down here in Arkansas, and that never happens. 0.o
