... Finally accepting that I'm gonna have to rewrite/tweak Crossed Wires from the start if I want it to get anywhere.

I dun wannaaaaaaaa I'm too lazyyyyyy... But that story really is doing a lot of shiny and not a lot of plotty. It's got nine chapters and plot happens in maybe three or four of them! D: And I didn't foreshadow things I should have, and some reactions don't make sense with the new character backstories and stuff like that.

... But I'm lazyyyy...

That's not the problem with Crossed Wires and never really was, though- - the problem is that I had a world, and backstory for tons of people, and that I knew what happened backstage with Itachi and Orochimaru and Tsunade and Jiraiya and the Hyuuga corporation and whatever else -- and onstage there was nothing but Sasuke chillin' at Naruto's. It's boring as fuck to have a story where everything happens to everyone but the main character. XD;

Besides -- ten chapters in and he's barely starting to wonder about Naruto maybe being sort of a little weird. NO, REALLY, DO YOU THINK SO. *prods sasuke with a stick* What happened so far is alright, but it should have been condensed into maybe four chapter, not eight. (since the last two are itaneji)

... blargh. *lazyyyy*

(also I don't care what most people would see. As long as I can see it, it bothers me. XD; )

Awww... Pretty bot just doesn't like to do whatever you want him to. Could he be not wondering what else is going on because he can't see there's somthing funny going on with Naruto?

He can't see what else is going on mostly because it's out of reach, though. he hasn't met Orochimaru yet and Itachi is covering his tracks pretty well. But I think I found some plot, so things should get better soon. I just have to find a way to bullshit Itachi's motives to give the result I want... Hrrrmmm.

So why would Itachi want to kill Orochimaru? Can't be a Sasuke-related reason because when it starts Oro doesn't even know Sasuke exists. *ponderponderponderponder*

I suppose that depends on why Itachi wiped out the other Uchiha. If he did it because of some flaw he perceived in them then it might be possible that Orochimaru was behind that flaw. Since I have no idea what sort of background you have for Orochimaru other than apparently working at Hyuuga Corp at some point I can't really help much.

Though it's obvious that Hyuuga Corp has some biomedical stuff going on, maybe they developed the Uchiha? Possibly Orochimaru was working on a way to become "immortal" by downloading a person's lifetime experience and knowledge into a blank Uchiha and Itachi discovered that fact?

Maybe Itachi is a failed attempt at that download process and that's why he went nuts. If someone decided they liked the way Itachi developed they might have copied his specs for Sasuke which would give Itachi a reason not to destroy him and a way for Orochimaru not to know about him (and to become interested in him later if you want to go that way).

Humm... Is Orochimaru the mad-scientist type? Given how much canon Orochimaru is obsess about their bloodline limit, maybe it have something to do with that?
