I edited the Itachi's Love Life essay-thing to add some fanon pairings (itasaku, itahina, itanaru, itakaka, itagaara, itaneji shut up i know that one's only popular with me), also put ItaShisui you saw nothing in the canon basis section since Itachi had to like him enough if he was his best friend, even tho he's a borderline OC. I need to rewrite Hinata's because I have a feeling I underestimated her quite a lot, or at least that I only represented her weaker side. Pointers?

Also, anyone up for explaining Itachi/Kurenai to me? I'm afraid I really haven't thought about Kurenai's character at all much, so I have no clue at all how this would work. She's pretty calm and collected as far as I can recall, and hey, jounin = competent, but... Hm. Itachi beat her kinda easily, and also what would she see in him? (let us ignore the Asuma issue for now...)

... okay, it would be pretty. :3 But how would they interact? Kurenai got almost no character development aside from the fillers but. yeah. That "character development" arc she got always seemed like a thinly veiled excuse to have easily-avoidable angst, insert a Sue with canon connections, and draw her wrapped up in tentacles.

... Okay, Itachi got about as much development as she did, and I managed to produce a hugeass essay on his sex life. There must be someone out here who obsessed about her like I obsessed about Itachi. *pokes friendslist* Anyone out there?

I tried out my friend's tablet yesterday, and when I was left speechless by the... weirdness of it all, she comforted me by telling me that one's style often change a little when drawing with a tablet.

I was wondering; Have you experienced that too? Because I think that I'm able to see a few differences... :S

Hmm, depends on what; this one was drawn on paper and scanned, the only thing that changed was color. On the ones drawn only on computer, I guess it did change, but i haven't worked enough with it to really judge ^^;

For the ItaKurenai, the only time they really interacted was waaaay back when Kisame and Itachi were first introduced x.o Itachi might be intrested in her (for however fleeting the moment) due to the bad-ass genjitsu she'd used on him but - again, it was easily broken and she wasn't able to get out of it on her own (if I'm remembering correctly). Kurenai doesn't seem like she'd be as shallow as to want him for looks (but let's face it, they're both rather nice to look at) so unless Itachi decided to do some mind-fucking with her head I don't really see it working x.o *fails*

... Yeah. Kurenai and Itachi? Um... well, they could... no, no wait a minute... Well, you could go with the whole genjutsu thingy. Like, I suppose Itachi might find it interesting in a "I can totally see through that but I guess other people might find it hard" way... :D?

Okay. So no. They would never work. Itachi wouldn't even bloody notice her, since her techniques don't affect him (sharingan, anyone?) and he's already beaten her. Without breaking a sweat. Not that I can seem him breaking a sweat trying to beat anyone currently in canon... Maybe Orochimaru? Off topic. Sorry... Point being, Itachi and Kurenai would never be on each other's radar as anything other than an opponent (and one he could easily defeat, in Itachi's case), and so the pairing is completely illogical.

Unless Kurenai is as creative with her genjutsu as Elizabeth Culmer's Yukiko is, it's not gonna happen. You might as well try to write Itachi developing sexual interest in a common housefly. Genjutsu has about that much effect on Sharingan.

And I disagree on how much development Itachi got vs. Kurenai. because filler eps. so do not fucking count, and I only watched the Hinata ones anyway Kurenai... let's see, recommends her team for the Chuunin exam (showing that she is a jounin-sensei), is seen in the company of Asuma once (showing that she spends time in the company of others, and fights Itachi once (showing that she doesn't remember that genjutsu doesn't WORK against Sharingan, which she should damn well know at jounin level). Itachi appears in Sasuke's flashbacks (showing that he was a cool, restrained youth), fights Asuma, Kurenai, Kakashi, and Gai (showing how kick-ass he is), uses Mangekyou (ruthless), chases down Naruto (more ruthless and persistant), fights Jiraiya (and is just barely pwned), and THAT'S all BEFORE the timeskip and more Akatsuki screentime. (I don't know if Kurenai gets more development after the timeskip.)
