The lineart is ooooooold, at least two years. Which is why Sasuke has no feet I KNOW NOW SHUSH.

Also I really need to figure out a better way to make rain. XD;;; The brushes I used were splattering-paint things, but seen from above, so the angle wasn't ideal, amongst other things. Oh well.


... Anyone wanna write me fic for it? Even a drabble of cute would be awesome. XD

rain? thought it was snow...

there are rain brushes available, i remember downloading some once. or, since you have a tablet, you could just draw it. doesn't take too long. also, a darker background would be better, since the rain would stand out more... the greyish color makes me think of snow too. xD


anyway, old lineart or not, it's still a cute drawing. :>

He didn't know what was going on. Like why he had this big black and red cloak, or why he wasn't at home, in his warm, dry bed. Or why he had Sasuke with him.

But, for Itachi, that was the important part. His baby brother was with him, sound asleep, maybe closer to unconscious. So that was the first thing to fix.

Itachi was going to be a ninja. He was going to be a good ninja, and he knew that was his family's priority for him. To make him the best ninja they could.

His first priority, though, was curled up on his legs, shivering slightly.

Taking the odd cloak, he pulled it over them, the fabric repelling the cold wetness. That was good.

He didn't know what was going on, or why it was happening, but, for now, he would focus on keeping his brother safe.

I can see Naruto, holding the back of Sasuke's shirt for about five seconds, then cracking up. Not set him down, just crack up. At least until Itachi put him on his ass.

Rain... hmmm.

Don't know about brushes, but one thing to do would be to make a few drops of rain in the foreground - as they are, it looks more like they're sitting under a waterfall, with only the background being 'wet.' Another suggestion would be to darken the background - given the clouds that come with it, a rainy atmosphere is rarely that light-colored!

Other suggestions... go ahead and make a few slanting black lines to make individual raindrops - you don't need a lot, but a few could make a big difference. Just enough to suggest. (And again, at least one or two should come between us and the figures, to emphasize that they're IN the rain.)

The only other thing I could think of would be to fade the color on the pictures, so that they're partially blended with the rain...

^^; Just some thoughts. It's been forever since I last tried to draw rain...

It's okay, I just like the fantasy-ish look well enough, i don't feel like editing the picture. XD A friend made me a tutorial on rain, so when i want to make it realistic i'll know how. ^^

It's snow, dammit. A really good replica of what Minnesota winters are like.

Itachi never expected to find his brother out training on a day like this, just as Sasuke probably never expected to find himself crumpling from a well-placed blow to the back of the neck. It wouldn't do for Sasuke to make another pitiful attempt on his life; Itachi simply was not in the mood. Kisame had been too long away, and he was getting cold. To be sure, had Sasuke enough skill to engage him in a decent spar, he would have preferred to work his muscles a bit, but as it stood, the most his little brother could do was give him a raging ... headache.

Still, he was not one to let a perfectly fine body freeze to death in the snow, especially given that he told Kisame he would stay in this area for a while. What else was there to do but shelter someone underneath his cloak? He hadn't been this entertained since that rabid, foaming-at-the-mouth squirrel took an immediate dislike to Kisame.

He would keep a close eye out for his partner. No one would have to know if he stared a little too long and a little too hard at the planes and ridges of a face so similar to his own. He would have preferred to take that warm body back to the snow cave he found, but then Kisame would freeze to death, and that certainly wouldn't do.

Who took that long to chop firewood, anyway?

He had seen others turn blue in the cold before; chilly deaths were not pretty. He remembered as much when Kisame seemed to turn an ever deeper shade of blue, which was why Itachi suggested he take an ax in hand in the first place. If he had known his partner was so incompetent at it, he would have done so himself.

But then he never would have experienced the joy of a small mouth drooling on his pants. It almost reminded him of when they were little, when Sasuke would fall into his lap after a hard day of watching his older brother train. Or that time Sasuke swallowed those sleeping pills thinking they were candy. Itachi didn't think he would take that seriously; he was only kidding. Such trust was a blind spot his brother needed to be rid of. Obviously, he would still need to work on that peripheral vision of his.

He smiled. At least he wasn't cold anymore.

I think rabid!squirrel/Kisame is my new OTP. God, I love teasing Kisame ... almost as much as I do Itachi. (Oops, there goes that icon again! See, I told you I had way too many occasions to use it. Actually, if someone made me a Kisame icon in that same vein I would 'splode.)

I actually like the rain. It looks like it's cold and wet and coming down hard, the way it's all linear and white and splashing off the coat. I don't see why other people think it's snow- snow would be softer and less linear, I imagine.

As for Sasuke's legs, to me it looks like he's got them folded up under his shirt for warmth.
