Man, I didn't think to do a post about this yesterday.

Anyway, if you go to the Dattebayo page, the new ep (200) is listed as Kakashi Gaiden.

It's not. It's a false release, because they're total cunts. The real titles for the next three episodes were released weeks ago.

Jpn. 09/13/06 Episode 200: "Working Hard on Active Duty, The Strongest Helper" (Yep, NOT EVEN THIS WEEK BUT NEXT WEEK.)
Jpn. 09/20/06 Episode 201: "Multiple Traps, Countdown to Collapse"
Jpn. 09/27/06 Episode 202: "Announcement Today! Sweat and Tears of the Best Five Bouts"

And their haughty announcement that bah! Kakashi gaiden starts at 203 or something, lasts three eps and then it's post-timeskip and they've known that for months?

Yep. Lying out of their asses. They have no way in hell of knowing before the info sites. The titles are never released to the public more than THREE WEEKS in advance. Never ever ever. Just because they translate the eps doesn't give them any special insider's knowledge. They are NOT related to the creators in any way except that some guys grab the raws when they're aired, and then Dattebayo gets them and translates them. THAT'S IT. They do NOT know more than anyone else, and especially more than sites like LeafNinja.

Besides, they've totally done this before. =_=

There is some confusion over rumors of a 90 minutes long thing (so far haven't seen solid proof over its actual existence, never mind that "ZOMG KAKASHI GAIDEN FINALLY" thing) and Naruto changing its air date and time slot to Thursday, but so far it has all been very confusing and contradictory and at this point in time, NO ONE is doing more than guessing and hoping and twisting the facts to "prove" whatever it is they want to prove.

So no, no one knows. And Dattebayo is doing a great job translating, but I really wish they would stop being dickwads just because they've got a captive audience already.

(as an aside, never trust Wikipedia and Anime News Network for groundbreaking news if other sites haven't given these news FIRST; and if you're not sure whether the site took it from them or them from the site, DON'T BELIEVE. Wiki and ANN have this neat little thing where just about anyone with an account could add new info themselves; it has been abused several times and they're not trustworthy at all. Leafninja so far has never steered me wrong, because they don't announce anything without having checked and rechecked it and asked for proof, and they don't indulge in this "I SO wish it were true so I'm going to say that it is, or at least say that it is very probable" like Dattebayo and NarutoFan do.)

Still no character interaction worth the name between Naruto and his two trainers. (betcha clone-kun could make a mean tentacle-rape-no-jutsu if he wanted to.)

The people who really need to stop being dickwads are the people who make the anime. The filler has gone on for way too long. There is no reason why they can't end it already. The only things I can think of are that it's a profits thing, or that they are sadists who want the fans to suffer.

See, I ignore the sites. There are 26 eps per season... which means the action and changes start then. So the next season/series shift should be 206. Add in a couple of recap episodes just to remind everyone of the actual plot of the series... with luck, it'll kick into Kakashi Gaiden after that. And I'd bet anything it's longer than 3 eps for that story arc. *crossing fingers*

Something tells me that Asuma has a smoking-related illness... but the whole 'Don't worry, I'll start again soon' thing disagrees with that. But, if it is true my reaction will be something along the lines of: *gaspshock* a manga where smoking actually has consequences?Imopssible!

I heard that episode 209 marks the end of the actual season, so it would make sense if filler ended then. (Again, not sure how reliable this info is)

I also think that Asuma is going to die. Kishimoto like to kill off characters that way. Of course no one says that he can't come back.

I really hope that the fillers are ending within the next few weeks, I haven't looked at an episode since # 183 or so and I haven't dled an episode since #194. ^_^
