We went to a renaissance faire, woohoo! I shall post some pictures when Kin uploads them. Ahh, it's good to be from a country which has REAL middle-ages villages. Instead of, you know. Fields. And tents. >D
and there was a horse and a hawk!! and a ferret and cats EVERYWHERE and there was a game to save the unicorn and omg pretty costumes everywhere and old houses and arches and towers and tunnels, and people roleplaying their costumes so well eeeeee~

Bring it on, idiot-chan. You're gonna get that detailed concrit whether you like it or not. Hopefully you'll improve some.or you'll stop writing.

Apart from that. Episode 199~
Okay so who is surprised by the fact that the old man is alive? XD Already last week it was obvious; I just hope there isn't going to be another ZOMG PLOT TWIST and he ends up not being an enemy after all. or misguided. or something. It was pretty neat that Naruto would be befriended by a real traitor, especially if the traitor DID honestly like Naruto, but had a job to do and did it anyway. (of course it's jesus!naruto we're talking about, so hrrm, not sure here.)
Anyway! What the hell is it with genins figuring out stuff the ANBU didn't notice (though it's not a case of the kids being too smart -- they're just smart enough to make me squee and not enough to make me go "yeah right" -- but the ANBU being stupid. They're supposed to be elite, damn it), and Hinata's eyes being better than not only Neji's, but presumably all of the Hyuugas (what were they doing, taking a dirt nap with baby Jesus? how come no one noticed -- hell, how come neji didn't notice the bazilion chakra lines before? he's been byakugan-ing all over the place for days), and also WTF Tsunade who's being reduced to orders-barking Angry Lady?
Anyway... The intrigue is progressing awkwardly in some places, and you better not think too hard about what's going on or else it ends up NOT MAKING ANY SENSE, but when you don't think at all, it's, um, it's entertaining. u.u;;;
Also, I do like seeing all the rookies working together, yes I do. ♥ There's no real depth to the interaction, but I dunno, my fanwriter mind must have taken over beause I'm filling in the blanks like crazy. Sakura/Ino interaction = ZOMG YES. Sakura being strong-willed about wanting to witness the autopsy = AWESOME. Lee = awwwwwcute. Rookies doing ninja stuff, using their specific ninjutsu in non-combat specific situations and generally all participating in their own ways = yes!
Naruto asking Hinata and then Neji on a date in under ten minutes = priceless. And Hinata and Neji going on to watch stuff together was just the icing on the cake.
okay so Naruto just used a sentence that means "can you help me", but is also used to ask people out on a date. then of course when Sakura is all "NARUTO" and Hinata all "ano, um, err" he goes all "you can't? ;_;" and turns around to call Neji. ahahaha. Think they were throwing the yaoi fangirls a bone? XD
I want NaruNejiHina now. ;_; anyone up to writing any? or hell, gimme your NaruNejiHina bunnies and I'll see if I can drabble them or something.

crazy_toffee has finally completed her awesome~ NaruSasu Saki-chan fic, 'Tangled up in Lace'. The epilogue is finally up! So if you were waiting for it to be complete to read it... (and of course i'm pimping it late and most of you will have seen it by now, BUT YOU NEVER KNOW.)

As for the friends stuff, yeah, it's kind of weird, but I'm trying to take it as a "they only did stupid stuff together, but outside of school they ignored each other" thing; and naruto probably FELT that he was utterly alone, no matter if he had a few buddies to be a brat with. It's the only thing that makes sense. But hey, can't blame the fillers for this one.

NaruNejiHina Fics
I feel your pain. I've been craving NaruNejiHina since forever with only a couple breadcrumbs here and there to try and ease the ache of The Fic Withdrawl (TM). ;_; Here, let me share the few NaruNejiHina cookies I know of. It'll soothe the soul.

Yeah, I wondered that myself -_-; Pity, until that moment and the whole 'Scooby-gang' thing, I was actually thinking this was a pretty decent filler. I guess it's still okay because we get to see all the kids, and there's some minor characterization going on - hey, it's a filler episode, that sentence should be gold-plated or something.
Still. You just KNOW the old man is going to turn out to be forced to do all he's done because the Bad Guys are holding his grandkid hostage, but he didn't really want to blow up the school - um, hello, A SCHOOL! And then the WHOLE VILLAGE! But don't worry, thanks to the intervention of St Naruto of Immaculate Forgiveness, the filler-writers will turn him back into a 100% good guy. *sings* And we shall all meet by the river, where our sins are washed away/ Hear me Lord, where our sins are washed away- All together now!
