Have I stated how much I loathe wangst-ridden/suicidal-Naruto recently?

1) NARUTO DOES NOT WANGST OVER HIS SAD PAST. It is Sasuke's domain.

2) NARUTO DOES NOT PINE OVER HIS FORBIDDEN/UNREQUITED LOVE. It is Sakura's domain.

3) Naruto does not. I repeat, NOT. WANT TO DIE. Naruto wants to live, and he wants to shove the fact that he's alive in people's face. He's never going to die, because then they'll have won, and he IS. NOT. A. QUITTER. What Naruto is, is ferociously, blindingly alive. That is why I love him. SO STOP MAKING HIM INTO AN EMO, EVANESCENCE-LOVING CUTTER, KTHNXBYE.

Also, dieplz. rrrgh.

But people write what they know, and most people fans asshats see "teenager" and think of their wangsty, emo, evanescence-listening teen years (which they are rarely out of). Or their bratty, wangsty, emo teen sibling(s)/neighbors/kids. Or their wangsty, emo, bratty Dawson's-Creek/soap opera characters.

This does not excuse their idiocy, just explains it.

The only way Naruto would willingly die, is by jumping into a fight he knew he had no chance of winning, to save something or someone he believed in. And even then he'd have to be dragged kicking, screaming, clawing and cussing into hell.

Naruto doesn't angst like that. Even when he does angst, he doesn't whine and bitch and moan, and generally be an emo little turd.

Kids, pay attention. The humor? That is NOT Naruto's coping mechanism. Naruto. Gets. Mad. He is a pissy little bitch.

Plus? What good is being a cutter if you heal immediately, anyway? Unless you like watching the wounds sizzle closed, which I kinda do, actually, but that's beside the point.

Yeah. he'd go down fighting with everything he has. He doesn't accept hopelessness. He wants to change things, to do things, and he gives himself the means to do so. Even in apparently-hopeless situations, he found ways to win anyway. he doesn't give up. if he died, it would be because he'd win something more precious -- like his teammates or his village's safety. *nodnodnod*

oo *randomly pops in* Basically I think how commercialized its gotten about being 'angst' and 'cutting' a majority when writing it, can't even give a good reason and can't even write it right oo; Sometimes it makes one wonder if these 'gud riters' have ever gone to an english class and ever tried to write normally instead 'l33t' or rather 'i'm too lazy to care' typing.

And when confronted they get pissy about it and claim they are 'orignal' Oo;. I find it sad that the authors who do write it, don't seem to pay attention to the core personalities of the characters and warp them into zombies of themselves XD;. I mean seriously and half the time it seems like they copied it off one another and added on little twist to it to make it 'better'.

ee; I can't -wait- to see the excuse of it being Kyuubi's doing because he hates living in a mortal boy XD;.

-Naruto is NOBODY's whiny little pansy; he is the prankster prince from hell.

-Sakura, poor baby, either she is uberwoman with the depth of a rain puddle or she is a miserable little doormat abused and pining for Sasuke (yes she loves the little wanker but give the girl some self respect.)

-Hinata is not a dammed porcilien doll, most people have her jumping at shadows, is this not the girl that went toe to toe with Neji, never backing down even injuried, and was able to get under his skin with a few words. She is shy, unsure, and trying to change but she is the heir to the Hyuuga clan, trained in their art and damm good at it.

-Iruka is a man. He is a good with children and enjoys his job. He is a chuunin and has done more risky missions than Kakashi has for the Hokage (Data Book). He is not whiny. He is not a little girl. Nor is he less because he is not a jouin. HE IS HAPPY WHERE HE IS.

Get the characters into characters I really do not care who they bed if you can pull the relationship off, but do not soulrape them to fit your own little insecurities.
