Whining one: I am BORED. and lonely. If anyone feels like IMing me, i'm on AIM, screen name Askerian. I promise I don't bite.

Whining two: Kitty Chou is a great beta (and a good friend beside), but she's been getting more and more busy lately, and I don't feel right asking my Jos or my SaH girls to beta my stuff. Not that they don't do a good job, but Kitty does an EXCELLENT job. And she has so much stuff going on right now, I always feel guilty asking her, and then expecting the stuff to come back to me just as fast as before. Because everyone knows I am a review whore and ideally the beta should always be at my beck and call. :P

I don't know if i should officially release her and search for another beta or not. Because she never complains, but I get the feeling it's starting to bore her, or she wants to but just can't, and my whining/pleading about it doesn't help. *sigh* I'm scared I'll end up with someone who just isn't used to the way i always tweak the english language, or thinks it doesn't matter so much that my grammar is sometimes weird so long as I get my point across (and it doesn't, but only when i MEAN to tweak the grammar rules, and i don't always and i'm not sure most people can tell which is which). I'm not a native english speaker, which means I don't FEEL when a word or a structure just sounds sort of weird. And it bugs me.

That and I don't want people to apply and then realize that they can't stomach some of my pairings, or follow my fandoms, or *gasp* who aren't good enough for me. Because how do I tell a beta (someone who isn't paid to help, and most of the time gets almost no recognition, but does it anyway?) that his/her corrections suck and I have a better grasp on english vocabulary, grammar and spelling than they do? The few times I asked for help, people were quick enough replying, and they seemed happy to have an occasion to help, and I don't like going all "you're not good enough for me". U_U;;;;;

I sound like such a control freak. XP

Seriously, though. Have you talked to your beta? If it's just a temporary thing can it be fixed?

If you do end up being on the lookout for a new beta I wish you luck.

But you know what? If you can't find anyone put my name in the reserves will ya? I'd offer outright but like you said, I'm not sure what exactly you're needing betaed or if my style clicks with you but... ::shrug:: If you can't find anyone I'm open for a test run. ^.^ Just so you know.

If ever you need a Beta I'm open to test for you! and if it doesn't work out You can feel free to tell me I suck, and I promise not to take offence! Besides I need something to do at work. I'm also an English Major, so unless our stiles don't match, I don't think it would be a problem.... but it's just a sugestion!!
