Okay, for those who wonder what happened. There's a story I wrote two, three years ago with Kineko. We worked on it for a year regularly, we brainstormed almost every week on it, we developed a whole world around this fic. We developed character interaction, we invented pasts and backstories and even customs for the species in that fic. This fic is extremely important for us. It's our baby.
It's a Duo Is A Necromancer fic, but there are other species, like werewolves or angels and stuff... but we actually took the time to explain and make it all coherent with what happens in the actual Gundam Wing series, because it's not a complete AU in the sense that the series never happened. It did, which means that most of what's canon in the series is canon for our world too.
It's Duo POV. There's a Duo/Hilde, Duo/Heero thing going on, but it ends up a very solid 1x2. Especially since Heero's a half-vampire and Duo ends up at the same time his master (power over the dead and all, yanno) and the one he drinks from.
In a backstory it was established that Meiran is very, very dead, since Wufei is from a clan of guides of the dead and he personally helped Meiran's soul to leave this plane an go on to the next one. Which was, might I add, extremely painful for him and was what made him refuse to ever do it again and become a warrior instead.
Duo is the heir to the ruling family of necromancers. Being the Heir is NOT gender-based, since it's also established that there HAVE been some who were women. You just need to be the first-born. That's all. But there was a war and Duo's mother was sent away while still pregnant. He was three when she died, leaving him alone in the streets. That's where he meets Solo, and the rest progresses as it did in the series, up until zombies start coming after them and he discovers lots of new stuff.
The plot might seem cliche now, but when we started it, it was not. We added a lot of twists and other stuff. We worked on it long and hard.
AND THE BITCH WRITES A "WHAT IF DUO HAD AN OLDER SISTER" PIECE OF SHIT.
The whole thing is a total rape of the original concept, and it would be awful to bear even if she could a) use proper grammar and spelling, b) do more than summarize the bits of the plot where her character doesn't get to look so cool and special and c) manage to make the characters to be more than handpuppets that she seems to choose randomly when there's a line to be said about how amazing/mysterious/extraordinary her character is.
She has amethyst eyes and silver hair with pale purple locks. Weird since her mother was human, and her father has black hair. Her name is *deep breath* Serenity Meiran Shinimegami Maxwell Chang Yui. (Duo and her have the same father, but their mothers were sisters -- hello incesty vibes)
Meiran because she was sent to L5 as a child to put her to safety and took the name of Meiran, growing up to be "the best at using a katana and master O's next successor." I am not shitting you, she tells it herself to the other characters. (and what an amazing coincidence this is. On a whole colony full of chinese guys, she just happens to meet and marry wufei who later will happen to meet her brother who happens to be a gundam pilot. Amazing.)
Shinimegami because Shinigami is a family name that obviously adapts to the gender of its bearer. No matter that Shinimegami is not the proper Japanese name for female deities of Death.
Maxwell because apparently she gained a right to that name when she was adopted by Father Maxwell, never mind that she never put a foot on L2.
Chang because she married Wufei, of course. (then staged her death when she was called back to her birth town because she obviously couldn't tell Wufei that she had married him without a good reason and so had to make him believe she was dead. Oh look, gratuitous angst. Bitch.)
And Yui because she also marries Heero, OF COURSE. Never mind that Heero is GAY in this story and IN LOVE WITH HER BROTHER. In HER world, Heero and her have known each other FOREVER, never mind that at first he doesn't even remember that the man he considered his adoptive father seemed to have acquired another child. Because when he does remember her, he also remembers that they were deeply in love, even though she was four the last time he saw her and HE was a teenager already (Heero's a pedophile now. How I love this fic), and that Duo's father betrothed them to continue the line in case he died without a heir. BUT DUO IS ALIVE SO THEY DON'T NEED TO, BUT THEY LUV EACH OTHER SO MUCH. So they have mad wild sex while Wufei stands in the corridor and gets to listen to his Meiran telling not-Heero that she never loved Wufei, only as a brother, and they never consummated their marriage so she's still "pure" for Heero.
THEY MET ONLY ABOUT A HOUR AGO.
And somehow Duo still takes Heero as his servant type person and still gives Heero his blood never mind that it's about as intimate as making mental love. BUT THEY'RE NOT LOVERS. NO ONE IS GAY OR BI IN THIS FIC. except Quatre and Trowa, but it's okay because it's sorta cute if you don't think about it too hard and only offscreen and as an offhand remark, and they have as much screen time as ... as Duo, which means about five lines each. She didn't even say two words to the Duo in the fic, who is only a convenient plot device to give her a dark and desperate past, so obviously he doesn't even deserve to REACT to any of what happens.
And when they come back, FIVE YEARS LATER (WHY?) she has SPAWNED TWINS. Meiran and SOLO, never mind that SOLO NEVER MET HER AND SHE NEVER TALKED TO DUO AT ALL SO HOW CAN SHE KNOW ABOUT HIM? (same way she got to call herself Maxwell I imagine.)
(oh, in midfic the author decides to justify the plothole of "how come Fei and her are the same age when she's four years older than Duo"? Well, apparently, cryogenisation. I kid you not. Also, she wears the tattoo that Heero should wear as the servant of Duo's family, because she apparently took it to mean that it goes on people who managed to summon the family's dragon. Because she did, no matter if summoning said dragon is THE test to make you the heir of the line, but she's not, even though she's more powerful that duo and also the eldest and why am I trying to make sense of the author's plotholes? she can't even keep track of what the characters know about each other--and hers of course knows everything. She gets to steal the very cool tattoo that made Heero so sexy, and she doesn't even justify it right.)
Wufei... drops off the face of the Earth. Obviously he's not important enough to even be worth a drop of angst over him.
And that's only the major assrapes my poor fic has been subjected to.
I hurt.
I am going to MST this to death, and then post it everywhere I can as a warning. No one messes with this story.
