-f*** you Hussie for giving us a m/m pairing that was apparently sweet and loving LOL JUST KIDDING THE OTHER GUY SECRETLY WANTS TO BREAK UP AND GET WITH A GIRL oh no of course he says he doesn’t WANT to get with Damara, noooo, but he totes will anyway, I mean better the girl who’s working for the enemy than a GUY. okay Rufioh and Horuss don’t match at all, I agree XD and most of the ancestor pairings are dysfunctional in some way, but couldn’t Rufioh leave him for a guy??? blah.
-Damara is fucking awesome, the end. Whoa, the translation of what she says. Just, whoa. XD Hardcore. Also I totes ship her and Meenah spades now. Yesss.
-I can’t help but like any Zahhak<>Leijon paleship, and I was happy that apparently Eq and Nep have met their dancestors and impressed them with their sweet moirallegiance, but I’m kinda :( that apparently Horuss just got with sweet Meulin because it was transgressive and Equius had done it and why not, not because they matched. I bet Meulin drags him unwittingly into Makara’s web instead of him noticing and breaking that influence somehow, since so far he isn’t seeing Meulin as her own person.
-Aww Kanaya and Porrim talked about their duties and destiny and now Kanaya is CONFIDENT! (and not glowy, lmao that this seemed to bother rose so much. SELFISH, ROSE.) Yess Kanaya be badass and trusting in your ability to handle shit.

-Also I like that Rose is apparently aware of all his movements but doesn’t tell people about it. So secretive, Rose. But I guess maybe she knows what Gamzee is doing, and she doesn’t feel it’s something she has to stop? (yes please this would be such a good hint for the Gamzee Is Not Actually Evil theory. but why would karkat mind? That bit confused me for a minute, because I thought Karkat would be angry at Gamzee for hating/being hurtful to Terezi, but that’s a human response to platonic hate... hmm. if Karkat was merely flush for Terezi i dunno if he’d mind his moirail being pitch for her, since it wouldn’t overlap, but since Karkat is vacillating maybe it would feel like Gamzee is stealing the girl he knows his best bro wants, which is hurtful. Hmm. Maybe that’s it.
... Does Terezi know she and Gamzee are apparently quadranted? XD Maybe Gamzee thinks they’ve been flirting hardcore, idk. (nooo mutual established blackrom plz ;;)
- :/ okay so we got Davesprite/Jade... then a JUST KIDDING ITS OVER NOW, which I was okay with because I didn’t really ship it... then we’re getting a DAVE/TEREZI IS CANON... but probably not for long lol did you guys think karkat’s maturing and srs loev would go unrewarded for long. Poor Daves, man. Cool enough to get the girl, but too much of a secret dork to keep her, huh?
-I don’t even ship johndave and I still got LOL at when Rose was all "yes, plz, keep talking about how you can’t wait to see your own dream John this is not telling me way too many things about your subconscious crush at ALL my dear brother."
-I don’t especially like Terezi/Karkat, but I see a lot of endgame hints in recent updates, which make me emo because Dave/Terezi is so much FUN damn it! and I still don’t even know how Terezi and Karkat would work. and idk the dynamic doesn’t ping me.
Thankfully I also love DaveKat, so solution is obvious. Terezi is pimp enough to share, okay? Shut up Karkat, the answer is yes. But still, I dun want her to canonly dump Dave, that’d make shipping davekatrezi so much harder. ;__;

And yessss, Rose flirting with all the ladies! It is the cutest. All of her little sly faces.
So agreed on "augh let's not have any of this 'above quadrants' stuff as an excuse to skip complication" because REALLY. This is a society that has explicit rules and expectations for maintaining a poly network, can we please not just dump that in favor of prizing human monogamy?
I don't terribly know what Terezi would want from Karkat either, but tbh I have never been able to get a handle on Terezi terribly well. I...might need to go re-read the convo where she met Aranea, because that might help me start to get a better feel for her headspace. Her persona always kind of kept me at a weird distance. XD
...I do think that Terezi and Latula's identical threats are a shiptease for Terezi<3Karkat specifically, since Latula is making the threat to protect her unconscious matesprit. But it is always so hard to tell when Hussie's repetition kinks are being played straight and when they're going to shift sideways.
Still want "Meenah and Karkat's Excellent Adventure" tho. good god.
In the Horuss-needs-nice-things category, I want to see him interact with Roxy. She's got the class of someone really important to him (Rogue) but she shares his aspect, and that seems like it could lead to interesting things. Maybe dealing with her could help him find some other way to deal with his emptiness issues? This is unreasonably optimistic of me, I think. It seems much more likely that he will just not matter and Roxy will handle all the important Void-related stuff.
