So earlier I was daydreaming, I mean plotting out srs plot-things, and one of the potential scenes I was thinking about was another Jack Noir intrusion in the kids sanctuary. Only this time Bro Strider was there and then they have a totally sweet Knives VS Swords fight full of badassitude and sexy slashed clothes and artful blood splatters.

And Karkat reads it as completely caliginous, of course.

And all the kids are like "what NOOOOO ahaha oh god YOU CRAZY ALIEN you so silly XD XD XD"

BUT, as my brain gently informed me, FOR ONCE KARKAT WAS TOTALLY RIGHT.

and then i was like "HNG SO HOT WHY" and well, I don't know if I'll ever manage to mention it in the actual fic but from now on it's my headcanon that Jack and Bro are hate-banging in the background.

Man, that brain's been giving me alternate BT universes nonstop recently. First there's the one where the kids are all adults and they're up in a space station and both Karkat and Sollux (much more mangritty) are captured and then while being moved to another holding cell they're beat up and John walks in on them and is like WHAT IS GOING ON NO STOP and then he has to escape with them because the other guys would make it look like John was killed by the evil aliens so he doesn't talk and get them punished, and they get found ohshit already injured but SUDDENLY ROXY hi i have fistkind and am half-Strider and all Lalonde and will wreck your shit barehanded and later on Roxy and Sollux have this weird flirtation going on... and then there was the one where John was the captive... and then there was one where they meet in a refugee camp a long time after the war's been going on and John is a pilot of course but not one of the first batch, and and and. Okay a lot of them are merely variations on the same scenes, but srsly. Cool down, brain.

I have no sympathy. None. And do you know why??? It is because for the last few nights MY brain has been infested by random scenes from the history of the human research outpost/oh-whoops-shit-we're-abandoned-now-it's-a-colony in that AU I'm not writing, ranging from "civilian vs. military lines of authority, argh politics help" to how-do-I-genetics to pack instincts to oh-god-why-so-much-sex to "oh wait, there's supposed to be trolls in this story somewhere, hmmm." For which I blame YOU. *overly toothy smile*
