I should be writing but I can't decide what to write on. You guys know what this means! :D


Tell me about a story I haven't written, and I'll give you between one and three sentences from that story.

Knowing me someone might win the Asuka-lottery and it might end up being a whole epic in four books, each of which comes complete with three sidefics each, but. Yeah. Drabble length's the goal.

(I don't really want to discuss it, it's been discussed everywhere on my Flist in the last days, but just in case some people haven't heard about it yet: new comment pages suck blahblah when given criticism about said pages person in charge's reply was basically a hahaha deal with it blahblah some people are having their automatic payments renewed without their knowledge please check yours blahblah.

It really sucks that this is all happening now because I was really starting to miss my 130+ icons (how do people DEAL with only thirty of them XD) but I really don't want to give 'em money at the moment. >___> My paid account runs out in may, I'll see whether I'm still annoyed by that point. Then again ads annoy me more. Dilemma.

I don't think I'll leave LJ, though, if only because it's really easy to crosspost from DW and my f-list is much bigger on LJ. The two sites are pretty much duplicates, except DW is also MUCH better tagged. I uh, went kinda tag-happy. Just a bit.)

Damn LJ. I don't wanna move, mostly because I'm lazy, but at the same time LJ sometimes makes me worried. If I lost all my entries I'd probably not write again for years and years.

As for the meme, hmmmm... this is really hard!

Okay, I just cheated by looking through the nearest books and choosing a theme. If you dislike high-sea and navy and piracy, tell me and I'll pick something else.

As for the combinations, I'm pretty damn sure Naruto has to be a pirate. Sasuke is probably in the navy.

...Sakura is Sasuke's dainty-delicate fiancee who was kidnapped and he's determined to save her. Except she had all sorts of adventures at high sea, came into her own as a person, learned to drink and fight and became a kickass healer/doctor-thingy, and is very conflicted because she kinda misses her old life but not that much and at the same time she's content with her new one and knows she can't fit them both in. *...bricked*

...Hrmmmm. Naruto is a very good friend of hers, whatever else their relationship might be like. She occasionally asks him for Sasuke-related news and he tends to oblige her. By disguising himself and getting the news himself.

(Oh, and this is a magic-AU where some ships are ridiculously fast.)

Of course she misses you, but she doesn't want to see you, had said the pirate, all easy apologetic grins and firmly held pistols. What the hell did that even mean?

(inside he feared he knew, that she had been defiled, tortured out of true, made dirty by the touch of ... he didn't want to think about that, but his parents did, he knew; when the ransom talks failed they were the ones who urged him to give up on her, that she was too dirty for him now. He would never agree with that; no matter what she would be the little girl who never gave up on him when he tried his best to force her away. It was his turn to return the favor.)

The pirate was good at being sneaky as he escaped back to his ship, but Sasuke was in great shape and still young enough to remember where all the good climbing trees and shortcuts were in the town, so it wasn't difficult to trail him. He was going to find Sakura, and he was going to take her back from those monsters, and he didn't care if his parents or Sakura themselves said she was too broken for him now; they'd leave town, go on a cruise, anywhere but here.

But when he saw her standing on the bowsprit, one hand barely bothering to trail on the nearest rope for balance, bare feet planted wide apart on the narrow wood beam, she didn't look like anyone who needed rescue for anything at all, her and her cocked hips in men's breeches and the cutlass at her belt and her glorious hair hacked off at the neck, flying in the sea wind.

And then of course while he was distracted the blond man slipped behind him and knocked him out.

Oooooh nice! You know, when I was constructing the prompt I didn't even think that Sakura would be thought of as defiled, but of course that'd happen. And Sakura is on Naruto's ship! ♥ And is that a moment of "guh, ...hot" that I see?

You know, I just spent a while in the car with nothing to do and I kept thinking about this prompt and your ficlet and in my head it is now this full-blown ~magic~ 'verse where the pirates have an actual pirate-y culture based around the belief that their powers come from the sea. Seeing as non-pirates tend to either have no powers or be much weaker and pirates do in fact have sacred rituals to strengthen themselves, it might well be true.

...Minato is a noble or a king or something. Kushina (from the Uzumaki clan, who are not necessarily always pirates but are always wild and a bit crazy) kidnapped him when they were young on the belief that he was being restrained and felt his lack of freedom, but he actually felt he had responsibilities he couldn't abandon and in the end she lets him go as soon as she gets pregnant.

Sakura, on the other hand, Naruto managed to convince.
