by the way about teamwork XD

i was just thinking i should finally share the baby deets XD

the kids were all based on common “child of” mary-sue patterns, and then subverted, because that was funny to me and i’m mean.

first kid, the one sakura is preggers with in the story, is a Sasuke/Sakura baby but due to shenanigans also with Kyuubi chakra...

so sasuke’s heir, the first new uchiha:
1. can never use his sharingan because the fox chakra fucks it up and it’s debilitating migraine when he even tries, and
2. is gentle, friendly, and turns out to be afraid of conflict and blood; one of the biggest tests of Sasuke’s love for him is when the kid confides tearfully that he doesn’t want to be a ninja. (sasuke eventually accepts that, but he does insist on Suehiro being able to defend himself at least long enough for help to arrive because even if he can’t use them he still has the bloodline and the eyeballs.)

(yes, teamwork 4 was based in huge part on naruto feeling like he should bow out and let sasuke and sakura be a family, and oh fuck no it does not work without you we will self destruct come back straight away. the other part of the plot was on dealing with akatsuki. because of course naruto thinks that if he’s “free” of his family he should go forth and take care of his other family/responsibility, the surviving tailed beasts, and it’s not as bad if he oopses and dies in the process. orz)

anyway suehiro eventually becomes a kindergartener teacher and loves it. (he’s still sasuke’s heir but probably the clan head position will pass straight to one of his kids who ARE into the ninja thing, they don’t want to make it official before sasuke is closer to retirement age if he doesn’t kick it in battle first)

second kid, a naruto/sakura baby, is based on sexy animal girl!sue!

foxes are shy, run when scared, and bite when cornered. they sometimes form pairs but don’t like big groups. Mikan is a major introvert who hates crowds and can’t assert herself; she’s not great at complicated techniques, though she does have a really good fight or flight instinct, only with her if she’s cornered she doesn’t fuck around, she goes straight for the kill. anyway she has a hard time in her family because everyone else is an extrovert.

third kid, who i've talked about already, is another sasuke/sakura baby, but without kyuubi interference this time around. Aoru is the “perfect” uchiha. powerful, driven, long silken mane, great battle sense… she’s also a bitch! like, she’s a lot of fun to be friends with/subordinate to (she HAS to be in charge okay), and if she likes you she will beat up your enemies and laugh with you as she drags you into deep, but fun, shit. but she’s also a bully, and she’s way too aware of her abilities, and makes life especially hard for second kid. you either love her or can’t stand her, no middle ground.

and then there’s fourth and fifth kids, Yukito and Kahen, twins, born pretty late in life (suehiro and Mikan are moved out or half moved out and even Aoru is like fourteen or fifteen); one is a sasuke/naruto and one is sasuke/naruto/sakura because why not *really* maximize that uchiha gene diversity man. And the boy has some talent but he’s lazy about it and doesn’t see why he should bother to go higher than chuunin, and the girl has the most intense goth phase oh my god. i think they’re only a couple years older than their first nephews and nieces.

Oh god, these are all perfect.

I bet in Konoha, Suehiro's self-defense training is more useful for teaching Kindergarten than he'd prefer ("No, we leave the kunai in our cubbies, remember?").

...Is it weird that I'm inclined to say that Mikan--with her stealth focus and tendency to go straight for the kill when that doesn't work--is a lot more like an actual kunoichi than the sexy-come-hither version?

And of course, picturing Team Seven dealing with goth child (and to a lesser extent, underachiever child) is a thing of beauty.

mikan is awesome for assassination, yes. her parents are all very sadface about how well she manages. she probably ends up in ANBU. :(
