oh god i need to work on teamwork already. *prods temari* Come on, it's naruto, you love nagging naruto. you even get to nag ino at the same time, how does that not get you all snark-happy? tell me how the conversation goes!

edit/ oh yeah, I watched the 15 minutes long OAV with the genie bottle. It's all part 1 genins + kakashi on an island, and full of silly antics. Adorableness! The image quality was shitty and it felt like the subs were babelfish'd straight from chinese -- sometimes they were even completely missing! -- which made things seem even sillier. I laughed. .__.
But anyway! Here.

I know what you mean about note taking (though you need it more than I do because you write EPICS)... I come up with ideas before falling asleep and don't write them down and then when I go to write the next day it's all "whyyyyyy?" How do you keep your notes, in a file or something? or do you ever handwrite them?

Nah, I don't write fast enough (or legibly enough) by hand, and afterwards i'd have to type it up anyway. All computer things. Sometimes I just copypaste convos i've had with people while trying to explain things to them, because usually that means I have to go into more detail and be more clear and logical about my ideas, since, you know, they don't live in my head. XD problem being of course that afterwards I should write them all out properly and i'm often too lazy to, so then I'll have another convo about it with other people and the details will be different and then i'm all "okay which one do I go with now". I'm really messy about notes.

Oh man, the just-before-sleep ideas. You always go "well i'm too sleepy to get back up but this idea is AWESOME there is NO WAY i will forget it!" and the morning after you remember just enough to go OH HELL WHY DID I NOT TAKE NOTES IT WAS AWESOME. XD pure evilness.

I think for a lot of people this week is AAAAAH OMG FINALS week. ...Mine's a week away *frets*

I'm so excite, I've just joined my first bigbang! I'm hoping it'll get me out of my writing funk, and maybe hopefully motivate me to finish something for once instead of just starting it and then running off onto something else. XD

I don't have an alpha or a beta yet but I'm not too worried about looking for one until I get past the outline lol

Though I wish ANY of my friends were into fandom (or livejournal... at all) so I could talk about it to someone. I need an enabler. Where do you go to GET one of those anyway? It's not like I can go to a bar, sit next to random people and be like. Hey. You like [insert fandom here]? Yeah me too. Want to go watch music videos and write fic? Here's my number. No I won't have sex with you.

Gocha. I remember some of your copypasted convos that you've posted, it's cool that you have people to use as sounding boards/for inspiration. It's hard not to be messy about notes though when you have multiple venues for brainstorming!

Exactly. Or you have not even a plot point, but a perfect sentence and then it's GONE. Sometimes I have to just say "screw it" and wake up and write. Especially the one time that I had a dream that I had to write a Sasu/OC fic, and the dream actually consisted of me brainstorming the fic. Weird, I know. I am not usually a fan of pairing canon characters with OCs but hey, it was a dream so I couldn't help it... I ended up waking up, and writing the fic at stupid-o-clock in the morning. It ended up being short but odd - involving Sasuke's single-minded quest to kill Itachi being a tiny bit derailed by him knocking up a kunoichi who he rescues just because her and her captors were in his way. I think I had been reading Teamwork the night before, so I blame you on the pregnancy idea XD But what amused me most about the writing was that I wanted so badly to incorporate the weird parts of my dream - like her knowing that he was cheating on her with Naruto with phone sex (WTF?) and her making him fresh squeezed tomato juice. But I didn't because they just made no sense.

you mean RL friends or internet friends? I think all the people I meet online I meet through fandom, so that takes care of the issue rather nicely. ^^; as for RL friends, I went to a convention, and met one person, who introduced me to her friends, who introduced us to MORE friends... granted now I've kind of lost contact with a lot of them, but that was how. Go to anime/comics/whatever conventions and mill around. That's pretty much all I can figure out. *sucks at talking to people irl*

I tried reading your fic but SO BLEAK. the way you wrote it was very stark, almost emotionless -- it's a good thing!! because it really felt like the girl was in shock or subdued, which fit pretty well with the events (those bits especially were good writing: They slept amongst the corpses, and she didn't learn his name until the next day.
They ate the dead men's food for breakfast,) but then I got super depressed and nyuuuu about the whole situation of Sasuke drifting after his revenge dragging some poor girl along. XD;

Well, personally I like it better when there's an external prompt for the introspection, (so good choice! XD) but sometimes the journey is purely internal and it works too. Depends. *wise, thoughtful chinstroke*

It's okay, the issue with Teamwork is purely a muse-not-speaking-up problem, which is something i'll just have to wait for it to change its mind. I've got the main structure of the scene down already.

I've read a few Supernatural vampire fics, and one or two shapeshifter ones, but I haven't read any werewolf ones. I guess it's not a popular Supernatural niche. So I want my fic to involve them, and the whole telepathic pack sense thing. Yaaaaaaaaaaay...

I was working on an outline, but then I thought the fic would work better as one of those that jumps around time-wise, so it's more like a timeline than an outline now. :(

RL. Well, I guess internet ones could count too. I've never been good at making or keeping them either way. ;____;

I'm kinda loopy, blergh and meh also. That's what you get when you are gleeful over getting a new job, and a combination of relieved, sad, and confused with your new identity after breaking off a 5 year relationship. That's been my week.

Aww, I didn't mean to depress you with my bleak writing! Sorry! *offers hugs* The funny thing is I NEVER write like that. I usually write fluff and smut with only a touch of angst. I'm glad you -got- the girl, with the writing style being so stark as you put it, I wanted her to come across that as in shock. She's kind of messed up, with low self esteem, and he gives her a sense of belonging. I, on the other hand, would be all "Damn it, Sasuke, at least point me in the right direction" from the get go, rather than following him, safety be damned. And FYI, it gets less depressing by the end. But thank you so much for reading some of it, it makes me feel all honored and then that makes me feel like I'm fangirling on you but it's hard not to because your writing is OMG amazing.

Anyway, I'm hopped up on mocha (mmm, mocha) so you'll have to forgive me if this isn't coherent. Whee!

(I am just about to pounce you!) And uh, Uncanny Valley is going okay. Except that the month-long break I took to heal up my arms has totally killed my momentum. ~~Watch me not work on it as I type this comment! x_x~~

And yeah, the ultimate dream is to get an agent and a publisher and such. Chances are way low, though, since this would actually be the first novel-length work I've finished. XD; But I must be optimistic about it now, or I shall give up in despair before the end!
