+ Crack pairing(s): Some authors make me like their zuko/Sokka, though I really didn't see it in the show. >_>;; I would love to try out a good Zuko/Jee, seen people discussing it but apparently the small amount there is is also well hidden. I am sad.
+ Ship everyone else seems to like, but I don't: ... I dunno. Zuko/Aang? Well, i'm okay with the idea, it just doesn't ping me at ALL. They feel really platonic to me, but to each his own. Ehh, Zuko goes well with just about anyone.

*g* totally on board with the Jet / Zuko. Unfortunately, there's not that much of it out there (at least not that much that I could find)

Zutara all by itself is kinda far too tame to make sparks fly....so yeah, all by itself it makes me go rather *meh*. Only exception is maybe "Enslaved" by Sharkflip, but then, that's an AU with completely different dynamics.

Zuko /'zula....lots of tension, lots of potential....but somehow, I can't work up the nerve to read incest (though I think Ursa/Azula is much, much worse...)

There's some nice Zuko/Sokka out there (I even read a Jet / Zuko / Sokka of the "get thrown into jail together " variety that was quite hot) but yeah, it needs something outside of what was in the show to get started....

Zuko / Jee had a tense moment or two (episode "The Storm") and I can totally see that happening. Heck, I'd even go and write it, if I had the time and wasn't so busy writing Ozai related stuff....

Zuko/Aang suffers from pretty much the same problems that Zutara does...PLUS, Zuko is kinda Aang's great-grandson, so it's also a little bit too close to home...

Yeah, outside of the [livejournal.com profile] jetheartszuko comm I don't see a lot of it. Then again I usually get my fix through [livejournal.com profile] white_knuckle, I don't go looking much. XD

I used to like Zutara more when I just read fic. XD Season three killed it a bit for me, because they seem to always erase Zuko's social awkwardness and Katara's smothering motherliness in stories and rest way too much on "zomg water and fire = AUTOMATIC SIZZLING :DDD"

Ahaha, I would love a fic that deals with Zuko and Aang's "you're kind of my great grandson" thing, even not as a pairing. it would be awkward and hilarious. XD

YAY!!! I knew about JetheartsZuko, but the white_knuckle one I didn't know yet! Brilliant!!! Thank you very, very much ^_^ *hearts*

As for Zutara...I always thought the moment where he ties her to a tree or where he finds her necklace...or the bit in the caves...those had potential. Third season? VERY competent team...but the spark was gone.


Given that Azula is just as socially awkward, it must run in the family (though Iroh doesn't share that trait and I don't think Ursa was socially awkward either).

Hmmm....I think the Zuko / Aang family thing could work out like this: Zuko's dead worried and all frayed nerves because Mai's about to give birth. Aang gives advice. Zuko's all "What do YOU know about family stuff like that? You're a kid, and a MONK and they weren't big on the usual family thing?" And then Aang counters with something like "Hey, that's my great-great grandson being born there....I know my family stuff!"

re:zutara; I found sparks there until he joins the gAang. But it pretty much died when Zuko arranges her revenge for her just because she'll like him more if he does (thefuck, zuko) and then they're all friendly and bleah. Though the final fight against Azula was nice, too. I liked it better as people on opposite sides of the war.

Oh man, my brain is so thoroughly marinated in Vathara's fanon that I read Zuko/Azula and automatically recoiled in disgust and horror- and I'm usually down for incest. But Vathara's sociopathic Azula hooking up with her lifelong victim? Ohgodno. D: That would be way, way too fucked up for me, even with a competent author who knows how to handle emotional trauma at the reins.
